I've tried using the search bar to find it.... But no luck. I just want to replace the H to 4g. With same color scheme as the stock ics. Anyone who can hook me up with this mod? It would be greatly appreciated.

Just change it yourself in whatever build you're running.
Using winrar Go into system>app>systemui>Res>drawable-xhdpi> and look for the file "stat_sys_data_connected_4g.png" and rename the 4g to h. update the file let it do its thing And you should be good to go.

I would say 1 or all of the following three things
1) try reflashing the rom
2) try flashing a sifferent modem
3) try updating the prl

You've got some helpful responces, also consider that you may have a bad download of the rom. At least verify the file size, or download a new copy to be sure.

So youve tried going to settings...display....screen display....lock wallpaper and chose from there? Are you on stock rom or using a app for themes?

I have a T989D on Telus and I would love to try the Faux kernel but there are apparent rotation issues. Can anyone help me or direct me to the fix for the kernel. I did load it to my phone and it definitely has rotation issues when apps are launched. I read somewhere that a lib file from a TMo ROM must be used to fix this but I don't know how to accomplish this. Any advice or help is appreciated.

Have you tried TDJ's TW Telus Venom kernel? It's fantastic.

Actually that would be the alternative. There aren't a lot of choices. I heard good word from users with the Jedi Mind Trick rom combined with Faux kernel so I thought I would give it a shot.

If you are using a T-Mobile based ROM, like Jedi Mind trick you can flash Faux kernel with no issues. It's just the Telus based ROMs that won't without the rotation fix. Jedi is an awesome ROM. Very, very fast. One annoyance for me is always seeing the 3g icon and not 4g. It happens on the T989D Telus phone when using a T-mobile based ROM

Ptmr3 (dev for the Jedi ROM) used to have a patch for us TELUS users for the 4g graphic. I tried to apply that patch to an AOKP rom and of course it didn't work. So I took a look at what the fix did. And from what I found it seemed to swap the 3g .PNG or H PNG file with the 4g .PNG file. So that's what I end up doing in the AOKP rom.
You have to modify the systemUI.apk file -> res folder where the images are stored in those sub folders. I simply used 7zip to access the file to get to the PNG images.
That being said I don't know if that had any other adverse affects. But the rom installed fine and I now have 4g image showing.
Then I got silly and started modifying other apks swapping other images out. Everything works fine.
Hope this helps.

I flashed a n9005 rom on my n900t phone and miss the 4g icon rather than the international H+ icons... is there a mod I can flash back? I know theres a stock att build prop zip I can flash to get everything but correct me if im wrong, but theres hacks in the build prop that I might lose by flashing that? Also, gonna flash a att modem if thats of any info...
Get Root Explorer and open your build.prop in the text editor.
Change the Device Name (N900T) to the carrier of the 4G icon you want.
Upon reboot, it will change.

Will editing this affect the number of signal bars shown? Like instead of 4 it will show 5?
