So hello to everyone ,
I have really strange problem ,happens to me for first time. I've just flashed my Htc Wildfire successfully but when i get into REVOLUTIONARY menu(CWM v4.0.1.4) and scroll down to "mounts and storage" in order to root my device , i hit the powet button and it only appears REVOLUTIONARY in blue letters. This is for every function in the menu even for the "power off" . So i can't do anything with it and i'm stuck with android 2.2 i want do upgrade to 2.3.
Can anyone help me?
I woul be grateful!

Hello folks,
since two days I can't use my desire properly anymore. Wifi had some issues, volume buttons sometimes stopped working and the phone rebooted itself. The phone was rooted with unrevoked ans S-OFF. I thought that maybe the software was damaged so I decided to reinstall, but this time with the original RUU.
I used this one: RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8_Radio_32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20_release_140022_signed
After installing, the phone got in a reboot loop. Now, I cant get into the bootmenu because the volume down button doesn't work. Is there any other possibility to get into the bootmenu?

Power+back button. It will launch into fastboot menu I think. From there click hboot. (It might also be that it launches into hboot and you click fastboot. Not too sure). It's the way I used when my vol buttons are unresponsive.

wow, it does work. Thank you. But now, I seem to have another problem: the trackball button doesn't work either can't choose a menu!
this is annoying! you got a tip for this problem too?

Hi.I'd like to ask about the desire rooting proccess...I tried to root the phone from a stock android 2.2 rom with unrevoked 3.22 always to a failure with the CID error on windows 7 and on XP.
Then i tried with the 3.2 version ...i think it succeeded on the XP as i did show the clockwork mod screen BUT the power button is not working while in recovery...it just turns the screen on and off....Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions ?i am asking ahead as i don't wan't to brick the phone just yet....Thanks...

to be fair a few of us have probably have encountered this, but many have managed to figured it out:
select with trackpad within recovery.
the power button works just fine...to turn the screen on and off...
Volume up and down buttons work as they should...also the track pad....but i cannot select anything as the power button does not work....
I also flashed clockworkmod 5 through rom manager...now the power button swiches between the blue menu and the hat....

1. uninstall rom manager, it's a problem with this phone.
2. when you say the trackpad works as it should, are you sure you're pushing the trackpad to select an option within recovery...
if you're s-off i recommend switching to 4ext touch recovery, install the app and from 4ext.net. you won't run into this problem (i.e. you can select things by touching the screen )
True story...just installed 4ext touch recovery and works as clockworkmod should...thanks.
Hi,
I'm new to the HTC Wildfire. I rooted it with unrevoked first. When I start CWM 2.5 and choose on of the menu options, it only shoed a blank screen. I pushed power again and was back in the main menu.
So I upgrade with a RUU to get the right hboot. After it I S-OFFed with revolutionary and have not revolutionary CWM installed. But there is the same problem. I choose a menu option and only get the big "REVOLUTIONARY".
What am I doing wrong? I want to flash CM7

You use the trackball button to select things in recovery, not the power button your recovery is fine mate. Buttons are as follows.
Power button = back
Volume down = down
Volume up = up
Trackball = up and down
Trackball center button = select
enjoy

OMG, sooo simple.
Thank you so much!

Hi,
I've got HTC bravo, Android 2.2 and tried to install recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-bravo.img. First, I executed revolutionary. I now have have S-OFF and my hboot has been changed to HBOOT-6.93.1002. I flashed recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-bravo.img with fastboot and the flashing was done. When I boot in recovery mode, I get the recovery menu all right but when I want to select an option, I just get this nice hat on the screen. If I power again, I come back to the menu. Something doesn't work as it should do.
Many thanks for your help.

Thanks for your reply. Not too sure what you mean by middle button. I know of the top button (power) and left (volume buttons). Now I should mention that my phone is Bravo PVT3 SHIP S-OFF, maybe that version of touch recovery doesn't work with PVT3?

The scroll wheel at the bottom?
It's also better to use another recovery 4ext recovery touch.

- He means the middle button on the front of the device. It was used for selection in older recoveries by pressing. You can also press it down when booted into the os to actually select things, and scroll in text input. You also have home, menu, back and search buttons on the front
- PVT3 has nothing to do with it
But forget about either of these things for a moment...
You're using a touch recovery. Therefore have you actually tried selecting by touching the screen...you know...how it was designed to be used??
