Hey guys. We still need touchscreen calibration values for the SGS2.
If you want to help us out:
download the installer.zip file
reboot to recovery
flash the zip file
After the splash screen, hit the menu button on your phone and select "Calibrating tools" with your volume keys and select it with power.
When "alternative touch methods" comes up, select "no"
Follow the instructions on touching the white dots. You may need to hold your finger over them for a few seconds until it registers the touch, if not keep trying by lifting your finger and pressing for a few seconds again.
At the end of the calibration, it'll give you some text with the calibration values.
Type the text it gave you here so we can get the proper values updated and you can have a full touchscreen experience.
Note, that after this you will need to quit the installer. If you continue to go through with the installation your phone will be formatted. This will only happen if you don't quit the installer! You can quit it by hitting the menu key and selecting "quit installer"
i tried flashing this thru cwm, but it didnt work properly, there was what seemed like a new recovery but there was no text so i couldnt tell what i was doing.

What exactly happened?
Oh yes! The no text bug. I forgot about that. I'm gonna fix that right now. Download the installer.zip file in 5 minutes after I push the changes to github. You'll need to use the same link that's in the OP.
---------- Post added at 09:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:45 PM ----------
Okay the new file has been posted. You can grab it from the same link in the OP. It has font detection enabled so that it will use the font included by default if it doesn't find a ROM to use the font from

What is MIUI:
Please, before you install this ROM, read, read and read again.
If you have a question, feel free to ask but make sure the answer is not in the thread already.
Anyways, Enjoy, feel free to comment and don't forget the spirit here:
This rom is very close to the Original MIUI, but optimized and made lighter (by removing all unnesccessry apk, optimizing eack single apk too) as I hate bloatware. I just include a better kernel: Tiamat, allowing low frequencies and under-volt the CPU. No additional "tweaks" that could potentially make the rom unstable THEMES: miuithemes.com
Latest Version: V1.12.09 v1.0

Theoretically, there are no limit, it is just a mater of translating all the APKs
But no, I won't do it because I really want to keep this rom light
Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957291
The function XYZ is missing from your ROM
Like I explained, I use the release ROM from miui.com and the translation from miuiandroid.com
I optimize
I zip align
I remove all I found unnecessary
I add what I find mandatory
BUT I do NOT develop the ROM itself, so for request, direction MIUI.COM
What radio to use with this ROM?
I personally use the one in my signature
and then use the "Library to Radio Firmware Automatcher" provided by rmk40 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021463
When I press the "reboot" button from the notification bar, I don't see the 4 way reboot option

* Thanks XDA for getting me here. I have learnt so much from this place!

* Latest Adobe Flashplayer App taken from DarkyROM Note download (seemed to me like the latest Samfirmwaree release of the apk to me? Galnex is ASOP so went for the latest option)
* Installs an 8.5Mb package to system so you best be sure you have free space
* No fancy scripts.
* Installs apk file
* Installs two plugins in system
* Install - go to flash player app check the preferences and launch browser website
* In browser settings check the box "Allow Plugins Always"
* Tested on desktop site of YouTube at full screen and plays clips fine all in sync with sound perfect crisp clear.
DOWNLOAD
This is with the larger APK found in SGS 2 (taken from my ex GF stock rooted SGSII using rootbrowser) and Adobe plugins from NOTE (too large to upload via the forum here so drop box here)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/43088692/Adobe_Flash_Fixer.zip
THIS IS THE ONE I TRIED AND TESTED STRAIGHT UP ^^^
The attached ones are not tested. But when I installed the apks manually and it asked me to replace I clicked yes and installed over the top of the other one and installed 10.1 flash player. I have tested this and it worked the same as the first install.
**If someone would like to flash the smaller zip and tell me if they were effective or not that would be great as it will save space in system for us that are already wary on size
BOTH are CWM flashable zips and install plug ins
Those that can feel free to upload to filesharing sites.
JUST IN CASE YOU BREEZED OVER IT AND BEFORE YOU GET EXCITED, DOWNLOAD, AND FLASH.....HERE IT IS AGAIN FOR YOU: DO A NANDROID BACKUP!

Flashplayer
This flashed perfectly fine, however, I am missing the Flashplayer Icon in the app drawer, so I cannot visit the website. Is it called something else in the ROM zip? I've gone looking for it to push manually but cannot identify. I went with the larger zip file.
Hey guys I found this in another thread....I was actually looking for something else when I stumbled across this Can anyone who has flashed my package that didn't get flashplayer to work....try this? I have fully working working Adobe flash so cannot replicate

Wha.... I should have looked! It's not in /system/app or /data/app! How can this be? Reflashing now.
EDIT: Nope, it's not there. Usually I don't miss something like this but I sure did this time, lol! I'll push it manually in the morning when I'm rested. Long day. If that doesn't work, I'll download from the market, then flash the fix again.
i downloaded the file from dropbox in the initial post and followed the instructions.
specifically, i downloaded the zip, went into recovery and flashed it, then rebooted and chose the flash player app. it launched the browser and took me to the adobe settings page, but it was blank. i tried this several times, but nothing changed. when i tried to use site with flash, nothing worked.
am i misinterpreting the instructions somehow?

Flashplayer won't show up in the Market at all for me. I guess this is an issue of the phone being identified as T959 in build.prop? Maybe temporarily installing a modified build.prop that reads Nexus S, then downloading/setting up the app? Has anyone tried this?
*WORKS ON ALL GALAXY NEXUS VARIANTS
*Thanks to MWALT2, seriously go to his page and thank him
*ALL ROMS
*MUST HAVE INSECURE KERNEL!
* NO MORE BOOTLOOPS
(Keep in mind official CM9 doesn't have insecure kernel)
* If for any reason this program soft bricks your phone
you are able to flash the rom without wiping data
and it'll all be back to the way it was.(just in case)
* Use at your own risk.

2-I get a systemUI has stopped error.
Will run it with Bamf rom and see who they like each other for a couple days.
Thanks
Please ignore any error messages that you see on your phone and wait for it to reboot
Everything seemed to work out fine, i'm currently waiting for it to reboot. Does it normally take a long time to reboot? Everything else showed successful, just waiting for it to reboot.
Do I click "Quit" before its done rebooting? Should I wait?
I get the systemUI error after the app reboots the phone and pops up randomly after my own reboot.
great way to do it! thanks

You can either sideload button savior "swkey36.apk" or you can run the program undo the mod, and then do it again, this time pay attention to the beginning part
step 2 has a video on how to setup your softkeys before you do the mod so you don't get stuck like that.

I hit your thanks button by the way, any suggestions on how I can make it clearer for others ? any suggestions at all ?
Mine seemed to work as well. Everything was green, pull, decompile, recompile and push took maybe 3 minutes and then my phone rebooted automatically. Got stuck in a bootloop, pulled the battery tried to get a logcat, but adb didn't work.
Did a backup before I did anything and now restoring that. Will try again. I as well would love to get this to work. I'm using AOKP 28.
Suggestion... when it's pulling, decompiling and recompiling a progress bar would be very nice. I watched a CPU gadget on my desktop to see if it had locked up and was still doing something.

Maybe the ROM and Kernel they use gives errors?

As The Name Suggest This To0l Will Create An OTA Update Package For You,
It Doesn't Work Like The Actually OTA Packages Due To The Nature Of Custom ROM And Their Customization Ability,
Making patching near to impossible, however this will scan to folder and compare them,
picking the differences, creating a new OTA Folder, which you just zip and broadcast.
The Advantage Of Using This Tool Are SimpleSmaller Update Packages,
Faster Upload From The Dev,
Faster Download For the User,
It's Also Allows user to update without having to reflash stock kernel, as the modules (if they're the same) wouldn't be included,
It's Also Allow You To See The Actual Difference between each updates
Updates:Initial Release V1.0: Simple OTA Maker
Update V1.2:
Bug Fix
Update V1.1:
Logger Will Show An Error Should One Occurs
Exceptions (These Will Not Be Compared But Will Be Copied)
Upcoming Updates:
SuggestionsAll Suggestion are welcome
Notice:
1) For Aroma Users I highly Recommend that after using the tool to copy and paste that folder yourself,
usually Aroma options don't change and thus ignored by this app
2) The Same Apply To the update binary
3) If You Use This App, Please Credit, There is no need to tell me but i'd like to know
4) Some ROM format the /system partition before installing the ROM, if so make sure to comment out that line
5) I'd Highly Recommend You test the OTA package before publishing it
DOWNLOAD HERE
Look @ The 2nd Post For A Quick How To.
How To Use1) Extract The Old ROM (v1) Into A Folder And Place The Folder Into The "ROM" Folder
2) Extract The Updated ROM (v2) Into A Folder And Place The Folder Into The "ROM" Folder
3) Run The Tool & Click Refresh
4) Choose The Old ROM 1st & Then The 2nd ROM
5) Select A Name For Your OTA Folder
6) Click Process & Wait For The Magic To Happen
7) Now A Folder Will Be Created With The Name You Specified & Placed In The OTA Folder
8) Now You "Probably" Need To Edit The Binary Script To Make Sure It Works Correctly,
^^ You Won't/Shouldn't Remove/Edit Symlink/Chmod Or Extract Unless They Specify A Specific File
Awesome gonna use them for my roms....

what a great idea OP, my congratulations I'll try it asap, thx a lot:good:
Awesome idea. Nice one. Would be useful if the devs that use this have a script to remove any .dex incase the ota receiver has reodexed their rom. But that's another matter.
Thanks, that is amazing!
You do love making it easy for everyone

thats a different story,
though i'm not yet 100% yet sure if odex apk/jar are interchangable, but let say they are,
this would work the same way,
and i doubt a dev would release 2 roms an odex and deodexed, but thats a the cooks problem not mine

would be great that this app also automatically creates a flashable zip and signs it

I just tried to compare rom 1.0 with rom 1.1 and it gave me update on almost all system apks but they are the same date and size??

Themes for TWRP Touch Recovery V2.3.1.0
For those of us who like TWRP Touch recovery but are not so keen on the stock theme.
I originally did this for the HTC One S.
Now on a OneX so I've resized and tested using the latest V2.3.1.0 Recovery.
Hope you guys like to use it as much as I do. Hit the thanks button to show your appreciation.
Please report any bugs and drop me a line if you have a theme you'd like to see.
I'm no developer, just a keen amateur looking to improve on what we've got.

If you are using TWRP Recovery, installation of the themes couldn't be easier.
On your SDcard storage you will have a file named TWRP.
Open it and create a folder inside called theme
Copy the zip file into the theme folder and rename it ui.zip
Thats it. Reboot into recovery to see the installed theme.

Just tried the link and it seems ok for me. I'm on a PC but will try from the XDA app.
***EDIT**** added the zips as attachments. Easier all round, in particular, easier to download on your phone.

Great work!!! XRed and TWRP Babe are especially nice!
Very Very nice, I like it quite a lot. Just installed the recovery when i saw your themes. I would love to have that TWRP Blue theme top middle!!
Could you perhaps make something green like that if its not too much trouble? Still trying to figure out this whole theme thing haha
Edit : Nevermind I have figured out how to do it hehe. I am not quite sure how the XML positions for the blocks and that works but I am sure I can figure it out without too much trouble.
Made myself a very nice green theme quick to test, by using paint and Gimp nogal (Im a photoshop person) so Ill go make HD images tonight and then its ON!!! muahahah
Good work prof! Just subscribed to this topic.
Looking forward to future releases! :good:
he prof
with version 2.3.0.0 recovery
the themes are not working correct
example:
when i try to make a backup
and i enter a custom name ,then not all functions are working on the keyboard
maybe the recovery functions layout is a little bit different then the 2.2.2.0
without a theme it is working correct
try to make a backup with a theme some keys are not working if you enter a custom name
hope you fix this

Thanks Seb.
I'm in the process of updating the files.
I missed some resizing code from the keyboard but its working ok for me now.
From what I can see, not every character is useable in renaming the backup file.
It only allows you to select characters that wont render the backup useless....... ie... you cant add a space to the file name but you can underscore instead.
Have a test and let me know what you think.
