Here all battery related topics please
About battery I wonder if there will be a way to replace it once warranty is over. Because I'm really concerned of battery longevity. I mean, after two years of intensive use its life will decrease quite a lot so does the current design may allow some not too hard replacement ?
since the battery isnt gonna be removable, i am currently considering buying a portable charger..
here are some i found.. would like an opinion on which capacity would be good..

http://mobilemate.yetaa.com/accessories/pineng-5000mah-power-bank.html
the last link has the same capacity as the 2nd last but it is way cheaper.. is it safe?
Am not a big fan of portable chargers, I fear from it to load the battery not at the right current speed, making it last fewer on the long term... I'm probably wrong though
i am using the new trent 11000 mAh portable charger for my phones and its a beast. charges up my nexus s 6x before dying. Only downside is that it only charges one device at a time.

Any ideas what the best UK option is for a portable charger?
Not too expensive, but I want it to be high quality too

To me, it seems slightly counterproductive carrying around a phone and a portable charger. Especially with in car chargers, main sockets everywhere etc.
Not knocking anyone, just saying id rather carry just the phone, and extend the battery with the plethora of available settings and/or apps.
HTC One X battery - first time charge:
What's the consensus on the first time charging? I've read before (somewhere) that you should fully charge the phones battery before switching it on as this will give it a good charging condition. Or is that complete rubbish and you can just start charging and switch it on and set it up?

...I usually just open the box, plug it in to start charging, and turn the sucker on! I see no reasonably important reason to wait for 100% charge on first time use and have never seen evidence to support it does any good (or not doing so is bad).
Hypothetically, they tell you to charge it because if the battery is too low and you turn on the device, you will damage the battery. I just plug it in, give it a min, and turn it on.
Got the device 2 days ago ... will report on battery usage
There have been several recommendations for chargers in different threads based on experience with other phones. Has anyone any experience of charging a ONE X from an external battery and would they recommend the charger they have used?

what kind of run time are you getting compared to your previous battery? Can you do some tests to compare whether or not its just a fake label?
Im really starting to consider buying two of these with a wall charger. At first I was all about the seidio 3000mah at $70 but I cant justify spending $70 on a battery, granted they are a reputable company. At $10 per this seems to make more sense.

7:25am - Phone powered on after full night charge with the phone off. Should be using a good amount of wifi today. Battery voltage says 4163mV.

So Ive made it down to 9% battery, but its been at that level for the past hour and half. Used wifi heavily today and watched a few youtube videos, played a few games and been on the internet most of the day. Battey says 3686mV. Local time is 5:45pm.
I think another full charge and battery reset should show longer run times. Will report tomorrow. Going to also try to find a scale this weekend.

Is that what you bought?
Yeh this seems way to good to be true. 2x 1800mAh batteries and the all important battery charger as its hard to charge both batteries with one phone.
But the pricer is really putting me off. Guessing no one has tried them yet????
Really tempted. Are these non-official batteries safe to use with the SGS2?
Hmm it looks too good to be true. I am tempted to get it though.
I just bought something like that. 2 batteries and a charger. I bought it for the charger, as I expect the batteries will be 1.000mAh max. Will buy a genuine battery when they appear someplace trustworthy.
I bought mine on....
Well from www.spider-foot.com they're very cheap and you get 3x screenprotectors for free. I think they are 1650mAh btw!
I just spent $800 on a phone, I'm not going to put some $10 Chinese battery in it so it can explode or melt - I'll just keep looking/waiting...
Search for EB-F1A2GBU and you'll find some genuine batts for 22 to 30E
That said i'd prefer having a batt + batt charger like the chinese sell, cause swapping batt to charge isnt fun, going to test it. For 8Eur, at least, the charger should be fine.. i hope

Also got the battery charger for it. I thought it was an aftermarket one since it was so cheap, but it turns out it is an original Samsung battery charger! Also doubles as a stand for your phone.

I purchased the same 1800mAh battery from ebay and exploding or melting is very unlikely as even the cheap aftermarket batteries manufactured in China have an integrated chip preventing overcharging or exploding.
On the other hand the 1800mAh are nothing but an exaggeration because the real capacity is around 1000mAH meaning its just an emergency solution if you should run out of your main battery while on the go rather than a real replacement for the original battery.

I got one of those for my SGS (same charger, different pins). Been using it for about 8 months. Works fine. Batteries not the best but not exactly expensive.
My daughter burned through one of them in 50 minutes in the car , but as a spare for using the phone only, fine for 8/10 hours moderate use.

Well, Anymode seems to be the battery and other accessories supplier for Samsung, if you look at their LinkedIn page.

I got one of those external black battery chargers from eBay yesterday. It came with two 1800mAh batteried (1800? yeah right ).
The charger is extremely slow! Yesterday I discharged the original battery completely and today I put it in the charger. It's been 390 minutes and it is still charging. Yes, that is 6,5 hours and not done yet!
Nice to have an external charger, but this is rediculous.
How long does the original Samsung charger take to go from 0 -> 100% charge?
UPDATE:
Right... 7,5 hour to charge the original battery. That's 450 minutes with an average charge of 220mAh. Most likely the slowest charging I have seen in all my years of using mobile phones.

When plugged to the Samsung power adapter, it takes 3 hours 20 minutes average for me. When I use the Samsung external battery charger, it takes slightly shorter, I think 3 hours. It is probably because the battery is not being used to power the phone as is the case with the AC power adapter.
Thanks. Yes, that sounds reasonable. So around 650-700mAh on the original standalone charger, just like the internal. Better than my eBay piece of... you know what ;-)

They include a y-splitter with the external battery charger. This does allow you to charge both the phone and external battery charger at the same time.
When I got mine it also came with a NFC- capable stock Samsung battery. $25 total when I got it due to it being half off at the time.
BTW, IMO placing the phone vertically in the external battery charger is not terribly stable. You can set the phone sideways on the external charger, but unless your homescreen rotates (custom ROM feature), then the homescreen will be off by 90 degrees.
Please feel free to click thank you if I helped

So back to the OP's question - does anyone have this item? I need something compact to charge a spare battery. Need to be 100% certain that this particular item works with VZW EXTENDED battery. Does the door close with the battery in it?
Any help is appreciated. I already bought 2 of these off ebay that claimed to work with i515 batteries and only fit the GSM battery. Sucks because they were $15 each and if I want to return them I have to pay return postage to Korea which is more than the refund I'd get. Long story short, I'm tired of buying the wrong item!

Instead of having to buy a new battery charger for every new phone, I just went and bought this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerGen-Mu...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1328708231&sr=1-14
It's a universal battery charger that can be used both from a normal socket and in a car.
If you're from the US you might want to go here instead:
http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Mult...ion-Thunderbolt/dp/B004B8ECR4/ref=pd_cp_cps_0
Finally it took almost 2 weeks to get it form Korea.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Just saw this from Anandtech, enjoy... =D

This is the one that is surprising so I am not sure which charger has been used to achieve this electrifying speed!

I saw that article as well. Curiously, the Pro 3 is missing from some of the battery tests.

I have a slightly better result on PCMark Work 2.0 Battery test. This is running on stock ROM
It's interesting, I do get a 5% to 100 in about an hour and 45 min. I do not use the stock charger brick but I do use the stock cord.
They say Dash Charging is so much better but QC3.0 lets us charge quicker...When screen is off. Not bad. Still charges plenty quick even during use.

My stock LeEco Charger gives me the time to fully charge from zero to be between 1:20 - 1:40.
It is as promised, roughly 1%/minute on fast charging 3.0 for a 4k mAH battery.

Dash charge keeps the phone and battery cool. That's a plus

The last time I checked, it was around 2 hours to get to 100%.
Does it vary depending on the loads attached to the power source(extension cord)? There was a full desktop computer and monitor and maybe another charging phone when I charged and monitor the Le Pro 3.

I use the stock charger but not the stock power cord.
Also mine gets a little hot during the charging, i dont know if i am the only one with this problem but i am a little anxious about this, should i use another charger? Is this problem going to affect my battery in long term? Let me know if you have some answers.Thanks.

Mine doesn't feel hot at all, just normal warmth. I sometimes use my Nexus 5X charger. Use default charger for now and see if it still feels hot.

I always plug right into the wall. I'm sure it varies depending on many things. 2 hors is still good
Nice! They're very speedy. No complaints about that here. Especially coming to it from a SD808 Moto X 2015. Heeuuuge upgrade!

I had a Nexus 5x and I agree for whatever reason the 808 seems like a slouch. I think 2015 was just a bad year overall for Qualcomm, the 810 overheated a lot and the 808 was a downgrade in performance from even the 805.
Storage performance is also very fast on Le Pro 3. I had done this benchmark when I first got mine:
Here's a photo album of the benchmark results (https://goo.gl/photos/cyVKLrM86Sew4tbk7)

Yep and this is one of the reason why Le Pro 3 is one of the fastest if not the fastest... =D
