Is that what you bought?
Yeh this seems way to good to be true. 2x 1800mAh batteries and the all important battery charger as its hard to charge both batteries with one phone.
But the pricer is really putting me off. Guessing no one has tried them yet????
Really tempted. Are these non-official batteries safe to use with the SGS2?
Hmm it looks too good to be true. I am tempted to get it though.
I just bought something like that. 2 batteries and a charger. I bought it for the charger, as I expect the batteries will be 1.000mAh max. Will buy a genuine battery when they appear someplace trustworthy.
I bought mine on....
Well from www.spider-foot.com they're very cheap and you get 3x screenprotectors for free. I think they are 1650mAh btw!
I just spent $800 on a phone, I'm not going to put some $10 Chinese battery in it so it can explode or melt - I'll just keep looking/waiting...
Search for EB-F1A2GBU and you'll find some genuine batts for 22 to 30E
That said i'd prefer having a batt + batt charger like the chinese sell, cause swapping batt to charge isnt fun, going to test it. For 8Eur, at least, the charger should be fine.. i hope

I completely agree, I figure I'll suffer for the first few weeks but will pick the one up in this thread once it's released:
Desk stand w/extra battery bay - xda-developers
Just received my original spare battery from Export Prive. The battery is a Korean-market one, and even says "Near Field Communication" on it! Here are photos of the front and rear, the Korean battery is on the left and the UK battery is on the right.
Also got the battery charger for it. I thought it was an aftermarket one since it was so cheap, but it turns out it is an original Samsung battery charger! Also doubles as a stand for your phone.

I understand your concerns but has anyone experienced exploding or melting, I say this because I have used similar batteries on my Samsung Omnia and the i9000. Never experienced any problems and used them for over a year or so.

I purchased the same 1800mAh battery from ebay and exploding or melting is very unlikely as even the cheap aftermarket batteries manufactured in China have an integrated chip preventing overcharging or exploding.
On the other hand the 1800mAh are nothing but an exaggeration because the real capacity is around 1000mAH meaning its just an emergency solution if you should run out of your main battery while on the go rather than a real replacement for the original battery.

Lol... i´ve seen a back-up battery (1100 mAh) from this manufacturer (got the same label) on ebay a couple of days before. Selling price was 1,99 Euro (!!!) without shipping.
And now tell me, what quality you can expect for a price like this? Maybe you should order a fire extinguisher too .

The new CDMA Touch will have a more powerful battery to handle the 400 mhz and 3G (1150 mAh vs 1100 mAh). If they are the same size then I will buy one of those batteries and stick it in my current Touch.
Yep. Seems to be the better idea, if 50 mAh makes the difference.
Rather buy a spare than have that hump on the back. So far I've been pleasantly surprised with the life I've been getting out of the Touch.
Or you can try this:
http://www.proporta.fr/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=2725&t_mode=des
Really cool, and you can charge your device and other like iPhone, etc. it's bigger than a spare battery, but also lasts longer, you can take this and your phone and it'll hold a week maybe
Damn, I wish I could use photoshop.

well, i give then kudos for trying at least but that sharp step on the back of my touch to accommodate the bigger battery is not exactly what i would want .
If i am working long periods on my touch i just plug it into the mains and use it while its charging for now until at better battery (with same size) come out on the market, its just a matter of time.
I bought two of these Chinese 3500 mah batteries for like $20 from eBay. They were charging like 1500 mah batteries and not lasting as long as they should. I figured, what the hell and tore one apart. Here is what I saw:
Not one solid battery but two stuck together with a metal strip connecting the two. Is this normal for this type of battery or is it supposed to be one solid piece? This looked very jerry-rigged to me.
The serial number on it is 044060A. Do your own research on that but I came up with just the fact it is a Chinese battery as one would expect. When I went to the site that sells them it did not indicate the mah of the battery. Very odd because how would you know what you are buying? It did confirm the 3.7 voltage however.
Here are pics. Please forgive my dirty fingernails as was putting down hardwood mulch in the garden all day

Lol, can't recall what auction I bought these at.
However, I am pretty sure that all of these $5 3500 mah batteries are pretty much this.
My guess is they get all the seconds (defective) batteries from this manufacturer, solder them together, put a pretty package on em and sell em on eBay.
most large batteries are made this way, take apart your cordless drill battery and it will be smaller batteries linked together, hell take apart a 9 volt and see what is inside so it is not unusual to put batteries together like this

Ok, cool, didnt know. Was just wondering why it was performing like a 1200 mah battery and not a 3500.
Wow. I have bought two 3500mAh batteries on ebay... so far so good. I can go for almost 2 days without charging with normal use. The stock battery had to be charge about 3 times a day.
The sellers (ebay) were: wanshopping and feitong2009. My only compliant was with feitong2009 which took a month to get the battery which was coming from Hong Kong. I normally get Hong Kong products in about 2 weeks.

How long does it take to fully charge your battery from empty? Divide minutes by 60 then multiply by 650 and you'll be close to your true mah.
Mitchell's EVO
Nothing too surprising about it being two cells connected in parallel internally. If the internal cells are supposed to be 1500mah like stock then the battery should have a 3000mAh total capacity. Even if they kind of suck at 1200mah each, 2400mah is still a pretty big improvement over 1500mah.
Oh, and if you weren't getting the performance you were expecting from the battery, did you try wiping your battery stats? The percentage meter on the phone is going to act a bit wonky if it is calibrated for a much smaller battery. I've got one of these batteries and after wiping the stats it shows a definite improvement over the stock battery.
Did you wipe the battery starts when empty or full or does it matter?

I got one of those for my SGS (same charger, different pins). Been using it for about 8 months. Works fine. Batteries not the best but not exactly expensive.
My daughter burned through one of them in 50 minutes in the car , but as a spare for using the phone only, fine for 8/10 hours moderate use.

I got one of those external black battery chargers from eBay yesterday. It came with two 1800mAh batteried (1800? yeah right ).
The charger is extremely slow! Yesterday I discharged the original battery completely and today I put it in the charger. It's been 390 minutes and it is still charging. Yes, that is 6,5 hours and not done yet!
Nice to have an external charger, but this is rediculous.
How long does the original Samsung charger take to go from 0 -> 100% charge?
UPDATE:
Right... 7,5 hour to charge the original battery. That's 450 minutes with an average charge of 220mAh. Most likely the slowest charging I have seen in all my years of using mobile phones.

When plugged to the Samsung power adapter, it takes 3 hours 20 minutes average for me. When I use the Samsung external battery charger, it takes slightly shorter, I think 3 hours. It is probably because the battery is not being used to power the phone as is the case with the AC power adapter.
Thanks. Yes, that sounds reasonable. So around 650-700mAh on the original standalone charger, just like the internal. Better than my eBay piece of... you know what ;-)
Andida Battery it kills my beloved SGS2. Guys Please be careful and do not buy this battery
I was happy today when, I received Andida Battery. I took out my back cover and I installed the battery. I tried to turn on my phone but it did not start. So I taught that the battery must be empty, so I plugged my charger to charge the battery. But it failed to charge. I installed original Samsung battery back, but the phone did not start at all. I was so facking annoyed. I went to Samsung Service Center, I told them my phone suddenly stopped working, without mentioning the cause of damage. They checked the phone, it took them two hours, then the technician called me and he said that the battery sensor indicator chip is damaged in the main-board and need to be replaced. He said they will order the part from Korea and it will take around 2 weeks to arrival at least. I was happy that they will fix my phone under warranty.
Edited :- Real photo of the Andida Battery 2000mAh uploaded. I was so upset and not in mood to take a photo of Andida Battery I own. I google it fast and attached it on my post that why in the photo it stated 1450 mA and For Oppo a100.

OH Man. Seem like this battery does coz hardware damage in most SGS2 when installed. I think battery sensor indicator chip is actually the chip which indicate battery status level. thats why your battery stats get screwed up.
Why do you say is an 2000mA battery when on the blister clearly states that's a 1450 mA one (even less than the original). ?
I don't get it. I only see "For Oppo a100" from the pic. Is there state anywhere its for I9100?
And the Chinese in one of the label stated the battery is insured, maybe U can claim them some money.

hi there the spider-foot battery is safe. been using it as my main battery and no problems or whatsoever since 3 weeks ago
Have been using this battery for awhile. No major issue with it. Just that while stating 2000mAH, it's not really performing better than the stock battery. Worse performing actually.
Avg after a day's use ( light usage ), the Andida's remained only abt 50%-60% juice, while the stock can still retain abt 80%.
Another quirk for Andida, after charging to 100%, when I pulled out from the charger, it'll occasionally drop to 97% immediately.
Well, can't expect it to be better since it's so cheap anyway. At least it didn't blew up on me lolz. Nevertheless, had been using the stock battery since it performed better. This Andida is just a backup for me now.
Btw, TS, just curious, did u pull out the thin film that covers the metallic contact points? I read that some pple forgot to remove this film, and they thought the battery is a lemon =p.
the only one i can rely on is the original samsung extended battery (2000mAh). It's a little bit fatter (1mm more) but great!

I think there is a little piece of rubber that holds it in.

They include a y-splitter with the external battery charger. This does allow you to charge both the phone and external battery charger at the same time.
When I got mine it also came with a NFC- capable stock Samsung battery. $25 total when I got it due to it being half off at the time.
BTW, IMO placing the phone vertically in the external battery charger is not terribly stable. You can set the phone sideways on the external charger, but unless your homescreen rotates (custom ROM feature), then the homescreen will be off by 90 degrees.
Please feel free to click thank you if I helped

Here's one.....

So back to the OP's question - does anyone have this item? I need something compact to charge a spare battery. Need to be 100% certain that this particular item works with VZW EXTENDED battery. Does the door close with the battery in it?
Any help is appreciated. I already bought 2 of these off ebay that claimed to work with i515 batteries and only fit the GSM battery. Sucks because they were $15 each and if I want to return them I have to pay return postage to Korea which is more than the refund I'd get. Long story short, I'm tired of buying the wrong item!
Do you guys know if they make one for the I9250 GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus? This one does not work with the GSM version.

Are you referring to the Verizon version? Does it work with an extended battery? By that I mean does the little door close when you are charging an extended battery?
I have the Verizon one. It charges but the door does NOT close completely with extended battery.

Instead of having to buy a new battery charger for every new phone, I just went and bought this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerGen-Mu...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1328708231&sr=1-14
It's a universal battery charger that can be used both from a normal socket and in a car.
If you're from the US you might want to go here instead:

Finally it took almost 2 weeks to get it form Korea.
