Hi guys
I have been using Calk ROMs for a while now and tried to install the ICS one with no luck. The battery goes from 65 % to 15 just after restarting the phone. Anyone can tell me what is the most stable ICS ROM right now for the E4GT?
Thanks

they all suffer across the board from about the same issues... plus its either Miui, AOKP or CM9 and they are all having issues. Just wait it out
I have had really good luck with BLEND GOODNESS ROM. Battery life is ok on it, not as good as my old GB ROM. This ROM is good enough to be used as a daily driver.
Blend Goodness Rom is the best it had the best battery life. I use to use easy battery saver now I don't and it has some great features like beats audio and Sony bravia engine here is the link

Just for clarification the issue with the battery going from 65% to 15% wasn't because Calk's ROM was unstable it's an issue across all the leaks. The issue isn't so much that your battery is dying uber fast, it's an issue with the battery software (that tracks and reports your battery percentage) not being calibrated to the actual hardware/battery. Any time you install a new ROM you should allow for one to two full discharge and charging cycles before you get a real solid battery reporting. Unfortunately with the leaks coming out as fast as they are this hasn't been much of a reality...
As far as stable and awesome? I'm a big fan of the Miljzz's Goodness Blend. It's awesome! If you're going for more of a stock feel Calk's been cranking them out too.
EDIT: I heard that Venum's is pretty cool but I haven't tried it yet.
+1 to Blend! It's smooth and sexy.
I have been following "The ICS Goodness Blend" for a while now and it is MUCH more stable than when the first ICS leak came out. I have had no SOD on V1.9 yet.
I was say Venoms new ics rom bcuz its been running perfect...very good battery life for me and also Mijj rom as well...but im currently running Venoms and its excellent!!!
Mijjah Blend ICS ROM by far
Thanks guys. I will try your suggestions and see.

There are only two ics roms for our phone, aosp (cm9, miui) and Samsung (fb and fc based roms). Any other ROM is just a themed or scripted version of the previously mentioned and will have all the same bugs.

Using starburst rom v1.9.5 and zedomax kernel v3. Its awsome!
I really like viper rom.
I would actually like a good enough answer to this too. But here's mine.
At first I used Zedomax v4.1 OC Kernal because I wanted the overclock. It worked extremely well.
Then I wanted a ROM, so I got Starburst and have used it since 1.8. The only real problems I have had with Starburst (currently using 1.9.5), are that I get a random reset of the phone that goes straight to the lockscreen (and has to scan media again, search for signal, and resets all my apps). That's actually my only real problem with it.
If anyone has any reasons another ROM is better than Starburst, please reply or message me.

Try setting the Lockscreen to none. I think there may be a bug with the Lock Mod that's included in Starburst. It may fix your reboot issue.

Yeah, he said put it on Rotary. But I dislike it. And I wanted the Android stock puzzle one, but I'll try rotary for now, and switch to none if it still happens.

I'm currently running ViperROM v2.2 and LOSKernelExp 1.0.0.8. ROM is super fast, battery life is great. Very impressed. Dev is very active on the forums and responsive to questions etc. Also ran Starburst for a bit. No complaints if you perfer stock.
The absolute best rom for this device is strongsteves odex rom. Chris's EL26 kernel is baked in. Very smooth, never an issue with L.O.S, and the guy updates like twice a week. Super dedicated...BY FAR THE BEST ROM!!! (I have run them all) I have two E4GT's. One is constantly playing with new roms, the other is full time strongsteve. Hope this helps
I was always preferable to calkulins. I still like it. but I am on blu kuban now. all I have to say is it runs freaken awesome with great battery life. I am also using the hitman rogue kernel because I wanted epic touch recovery goodness.
Calkulins with rogue kernal is the best in my opinion but most people will tell you to flash them all and decide I did

We are talking 2 different ballgames. Best odexed strongsteve's (even if you odex zip another ROM) Best deodexed Calkulin's and NoName (but I haven't tried the new bunch like maddoggin's and Rujelus, Phantom, etc. If strongsteve had multiple themes or colors of his ROM he would have a huge portion of the users but that's too much work for one person. I kid you not, I have flashed at least his last 12 builds and have NEVER had a reboot, force close or freeze. Now when you have a deodexed ROM and flash a theme, if you have a problem, how do you determine if it is the ROM or theme unless you ran the ROM as released for a while. Really, its all a matter of personal preference.

Blu Kuban is Awesome
Rom Updater makes it is to stay up with changes
I have zero Problems
Fast
Great Battery Life
and the looks is Awesome
+ Blu Kuban is easily the best ICS Rom, both in stability and performance. I have had very few issues with the ROM and ROM Updater is awesome. Run it with Calk's Kernal for best performance IMHO.
As far as the best theme-ability, with good stability and performance, AOKP ROM is the best. Run it with the latest AOSP kernel.
Watch for the update tonight

I'm rocking calukins 3.0 gb rom with the gunslinger 1.4.0 kernel. I've been changing up the modem with the new FD releases but for a while i used either EL13 EL29 or FC22 and with those three I was getting amazing battery life. Right now I'm running the same set up but with the FD05 modem and I'm getting a full day with 3 or more hours screen on time and it still has some juice when I plug it in at night. The GPS lock on FD05 can be funny so I'm going to be trying out FD10 and FD16 the next few days to see if the battery life is as good but better GPS lock. Speeds are amazing with the FD modems in my area, these latest modems are feeling very very solid! Good luck and happy flashing buddy

Was on it for a long time, but I'm now on the ICS ROM from the same developer.
It has a bunch of flashable add-ons/mods, already themed, includes the Lockscreen settings, great battery life and very stable.
UnNamed was my favorite and I didn't want to switch until I gave that ROM a try. Needless to say I loved it and couldn't go to anything else because it had everything I was looking for in a ROM.
Blazer is my favorite with the sherbert theme.
And of course calkulin's !
They're very similar though. I'm sticking with blazer 4.1 until OTA ICS

i was running Caulkin's E4GT 3.0 ever since it came out and I loved it. I just recently flashed tFD19_v0.1.0 Rooted. Odexed to check out the whole ICS realm and I kinda like it. I'm still getting used to the interface and it's still missing the hotspot services, but I've been managing with wifi tether. This rom runs pretty smooth so far and I haven't seen any random restarts or errors. with tFD16 I was getting random pauses and apps closing, but so far this rom is running nicely. I have not encountered the notification problem that other people were talking about and with the FD19 modem, my connections are really stable and fast. The new tweaks on tFD19 actually greatly increase the battery life from tFD16 and it is so much faster than tFD16. Also included in this rom is the ICS launcher to run the ICS theme AND the twlauncher if you find the ICS launcher too new and confusing.
for tFD19

I still recommend a NAND backup before trying this rom out and it flashes through the Rogue CWM nicely
My favorite roms at the moment are Blazer rom and UnOfficial ICS rom.

Hello everyone,
I am new to the Epic 4G Touch and I have a question? There are quite a few roms for this devices and I was wondering witch rom is the latest? I was running AOKP, but the battery life for me was vary bad so I had to go back to stock for now.. Is there any ICS roms with great and or better battery life than AOKP?
Try cm9. Its fast, smooth and stable. Or you could give a touchwiz rom like Calks 1.6 rom + kobridge tweaks a go.

If you absolutely have to be on ICS, I tend to agree with Rick.
Calk 1.6: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527041
Kobridge Tweaks for Battery Life: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668853
In any case, for the BEST battery life & stability, you should go with a Gingerbread ROM. At least until ICS is fully released.

Been using CM9 since the start. After updating to Alpha 4 after a fresh install battery life has been pretty good.
Battery life after fresh install seems to last most of the day. However life depends on many different issues and what you have installed.
Calks seems to last pretty good. Battery tweaked version seemed to last all day for me.
Thanks everyone!
There is one thing I do not get is those battery tweaks? There are several zips in it and I'm not sure witch one to flash?

Kobridge's tweaks are pretty good. I wrote the flashable zips and Kobridge has been busy tweaking.
SF = Super Fast (least battery savings)
F = Fast
M = Medium
A = Agressive (most battery savings but you may notice a little lag here and there)
Edit: There is a set specifically designed for Calk's ICS rom too!

I don't know how new you are to these roms... just give them a chance to settle in. It takes a couple of days for any fresh install to settle down so don't expect to see real results for a little while.

I've been running the Blu Kuban from RUJELUS for months now, even before the official ICS release, and I couldn't be happier. There is even a ROM Updater built into it so you can update straight from your phone and the ROM itself is completely customizable without having to hook it back up to your PC for flashing. I can go 2 days with light-moderate use without needing to charge, and a full day from 7am to midnight with heavy use.
It's the cleanest and smoothest running ICS ROM I've tried, and I've tried quite a few. Calkulin's is good as well.

Unfortunately Calk's is outdated and he's not supporting it anymore. I went with Blazer ICS and it's running great for me. I like that it's debloated with very little themeing or 3rd-party apps added. There are also a bunch of mods that you can add on for more features (like adding reboot options to the power menu or fixing the GPS drivers). Recommended for sure.
