Hey guys i got a problem with my OTG and my Maguro.
I'm running CM10.1 16th nightly with Anarkia Purity Kernel v12. When i connect my wireless mouse, that has an usb receptor the phone doesn't recogniced it. The same thing with an 32gb micro sd with a usb microsd reader. I have downloaded ChainFire's app, but i only have solution for the microsd, not for the mouse. Now, the problem is that i want to buy an usb PS joystick. It's wireless like the mouse (has a receptor), and i wish it could work. Anyone has an answer to my problem ? A recommendation of configuration (especific ROM + especific KERNEL) will be also apreciated.
Sorry for my awfull english.
Thanks in advance !
pls !
pls guys i really need your help !
Since you're not using CM stock kernel, talk to your kernel Dev to support your wireless receptor. It's probably missing the module to support it. Check dmesg.

Thanks for your answer, my friend.

Nobody Knows Answer?
oh goosh
Hi, i am going through the same thing too. iv scoured the net for a solution but its looking bleak right now. i found this site which says
"Attention: Android 4.3 has changed the kernel so that loading driver modules is disabled. Nexus 7 Old still has modem drivers enabled in the kernel, but Nexus 7 New (Wifi) and Nexus 10 don't. Since there is no more way to add drivers, USB modems cannot be used with these devices anymore. Blame Google for this."
can someone confirm this or say otherwise. am really bumd that they would leave this feature to use an external modem out. when old nameless tablets can do it. ahhhh
Hi guys!
A small issue with ParanoidAndroid. I installed 3.98 on my new Nexus 7 2013 and since my tablet is no longer recognized by Windows 8.
So I restored my stock backup and it works again. Then, I reinstalled PA 3.98 and it does not work ... I do not understand.
Someone has already encountered this problem?
FYI, I also Note 2 and PA already above 3.98 without problem.
Any idea?
(Sorry bad English, I'm french, and posting here cuz I'can't in the PA thread)
Did you make sure MTP is turned on in settings->storage->3dots->usb computer connection?
Thx!
Hey man !
Really thx !!! Almost 2 years that I installed some ROM (on my GalaxysIII, my Note 2, now my Nexus 2013) and I didn't know that option !
Thx

First of all, hello, I am new here and sorry if this is not te rigth section for this topic.
I have an old galaxy ace with android 2.3 which I am not using for anything and I would like to know if is possible to install windows phone on it, not a rom or an ui style but the OS itself.
Since I dont use it, there is no problem if something fails in the process, its just for experimentations
So, is it possible?
Thanks!

Hi,
do you know if the team actually works on a ROM for the Pixel C device?
Remix OS was announced for the Pixel C and both Nexus devices (which now received a ROM).
So I just would like to have a small status update aka cancelled/working on it
Thank you
Thanks for this question. I'm wondering the same thing.
No answer in 3 days.
Now does this point to a lack of communication between Jide and its customers, or do they simply not care about the users?
Because there are clearly some Jide employees who read this subforum.
Very interested by this question too
Thanks for this question !
Pixel C with its large screen could be great with Remix OS.
The Pixel C launched with 6.0.1. REMIX OS is on 5.1. How exactly were you guys expecting to have the rom out now? It will be out when remix OS is based on a version of android that the pixel C has source code for.

We don't expect a rom to be out but instead an official statement about general plans regarding compatibility to the Pixel C

it will have the ROM after the switch to marshmallow.
Maybe now that 3.0 is out for PC and we know Remix is making the Marshmallow jump there'll be some movement. I won't hold my breath though. C'mon Jide! Please give this to us!

Yeaii
I will try installing it on the weekend and will report back how it worked
So far it's pretty decent. I installed after figuring out how to unlock the bootloader first (something you should update in your instructions). First impressions: I'm not sure why I can't drag from the menu to the desktop and I can't remove icons from the desktop (only uninstall them) this is just weird. Furthermore, I can't ping icons to the taskbar at the bottom (this would be super useful even if limited to 1-2 apps.
Also, way too much wasted room on the desktop, huge padding on the left and right which should be accounted for.
Overall, very cool
A few issues.
When installing the Google keyboard it soft reboots the tablet first try, then installs properly.
It takes a little too long for the tablet to recognize that it's either charging or not charging. I unplugged my pixel c to write this and it still thinks it's charging.

Agreed. You can't drag from the menu to the desktop because the desktop is combined with the launcher. There is no app drawer, it's basically like the iOS desktop. It would be cool if they would let you pin icons on the taskbar instead of just showing what's open.

You actually can pin apps to the taskbar by long pressing an app from the menu/app drawer and dragging it to the taskbar.
I also think that having every app icon on the desktop is overkill. It would be better to keep the apps contained to the menu and let us choose which ones to place on the desktop (like with the Google Now Launcher).
I'm hoping someone can help me. I've followed both links in this thread for how to instructions. The first takes me to the help site where, no matter how I word my search, I get no useful links. The second link is to the 'how to install Remix on a PC'.
Could someone help me out with the link on how to install on an Android tablet, please.
I've tried google search with various versions of 'how to install on an Android tablet' with no luck either.
All the best Richard.
Hello folks.
I'd like to try the Remix OS on my Pixel C, but would like to be able to go back to Android if I don't like it. I have TWRP recovery installed. Can I just install all the image files but skip the recovery.img? Will this allow me to run TWRP and restore an Android backup? Or is there some dependency needed in the remix recovery?
Thanks for the help.

Have to admit, it does need better instructions, namely for setting up ADB Fastboot... something that was sorely missing. I had to install it, then open an command line prompt then change to that directory. Then run all the commands in the bat file that was included. After getting the ADB driver from Samsung working, it was a breeze but until then, it was a nightmare!
Right now I'm running Remix OS 3 for the Google Pixel C, it's android version 6.0.1 and it runs pretty good. I got tired of waiting for Nougat to roll out not to mention, Nougat doesn't support free form windows... something I love on my Samsung devices!!!! Oh one other thing, it does not have root support even though their videos claim that it does!
