[Q] AOKP M4/LeanKernal 2.4.0 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Installed AOKP M4 and LeanKernal 2.4.0. Everytime I downaload an app it adds the icon and trys to add widgets? .. but says there isn't enough room on the home screen. I know I saw a setting for this, but for some reason can't find it now. Anyone?

Starburst rom v1.9.8 is awsome! Possibly a few bugs?

Flashed 1.9.8 over 1.9.0 after following the instructions on Starburstrom.com, everything works perfect but I cant change the background of my lockscreen anymore. Even after I select the image it never changes. I also still have the ctr sleep screen which should have been removed? Version number says 1.9.5 like it should and all the icons changed green which supposed to.

problem after installing CyanogenMOD 7.1

ok so, I have installed CyanogenMOD 7.1 on wildfire. n it was running smoothly for 2days, until today.! the MENU task bar was somehow invisible. I had to restart the phone, n it was settled. so, any solution on how can I fix it? another thing is, the android MARKET is not there. how can I solve it.? it would be a pain in the a** if these two problems continued !
Market problem could be you haven't flashed gapps, search around forums for gapps and flashed via hboot like you did cm7.
Disappearing dock or status bars most likely due to swipe to hide settings. Test by swiping up on your screen or down on your screen to see if anything happens, repeat to restore bars again if its working.

none helped. just flashed "gapps package", it included CAR HOME, GOOGLE SEARCH & NEWS & WEATHER.. now what else I should do ? :|
You need to have a Google account set up too?

1st when I tried, it gave me network error.. now it's done.. many thanx to u.. now please help me with that MENU BAR problem.. I rebooted my phone many time from this morning.! any solution?
What menu bar?
Do you mean the dock at the bottom with the phone, app drawer and browser icon?
Adw has a hidden app drawer which opens when you slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen, you can disable it in the settings.

m talking about the 3 icons in the home screen, the MENU, BROWSER & Phone CALL icon!!
see, http://lh4.ggpht.com/-nwIoW78vZWM/TwAuvDzn6MI/AAAAAAAAAJw/9VQu2PU8kY8/s400/123123123.png ..
that tab 1st showed this problem .. now, the google search bar is also creating problem.. it's not showing up.. If I reboot my phone, everything gets well but for some time
Go to adw settings and disable hidden app drawer or dockbar, I can't remember what its called now.

it is not enabled .. I have checked just now to be assured.. in the home screen, it's saying, "problem loading widget" .. ! :|
As scratch and myself have said its probably the adw hidden dock setting that is causing the disappearing icons.goto menu, adw settings and look for hidden dock bar and turn it off. I'm not sure of the path because I'm using the new adwex launcher which has removed the hidden dock bar.

Delete the widget and place it again, you've just flashed a newer version of Google search so the path of the widget has changed.

How do you get rid of this widget?!

Hi all.
I am at a loss. Running AOKP (4.0.4) with Nova Launcher. Out of nowhere yesterday, this Power control widget decided to add itself to the notification area. I dont even know how it got there and sure as hell dont know how to get it off of there. I know you can add it to one of the screens but did not know it can be added in that area. Does anyone have any idea where this setting is if it exists? I would like to know how to get rid of it before reflashing the ROM.
I know there is another set of toggles you can add which I had but then I was stuck with 2 power control widgets in the notification area. Thanks.
Try touching the settings button in your notification area
I did but then it adds or deleted another set of toggles on top of that one lol

In your app drawer find "Power Controls" and Uncheck the checkmark in the Notifications widget box, and press the pin button to turn it off in the accessibility menu.
Or
Uninstall the entire app

Thanks, man. That did it. I realized that I hid the app. Once I unhid it and unchecked that checkmark, it went away.

Lockscreen is not part of the Security menu on European version of the SG3. It is in Seetings under group "Personal ".
Same Here.
I have the same problem on my Nexus 7, except it's with the BW app on my home screen. Keeps saying it can't update 'cause of the connection. I have to restart to update.

Not quite sure what you mean - there is an option in Dash Notifier to always have the app icon showing (with an optional unread count), whether or not there is a current notification. You also may need to resize the widget to get the 'full' scrollable view as default. Mine takes up one entire home screen.

I think he means dasclock/notifier on lockscreen, i also have the same issue; i have to drag down the unlock patron (security) for me to be able to see the notifications on the lockscreen.
Is there any 'solution' for this?

Ah sorry - not sure - I have my dashclock on the lock screen as a secondary widget (again expanded by default) - but still need a swipe to get to it.
So, I would use this put I feel that once u unlock the tab pulled down should be done already. Then swipe up to unlock

You can install GravityBox and under Lockscreen Tweaks there is an option to maximise all widgets.
Try that.
