Sound files should be in the /raw folder in Ogg Vorbis format. (.ogg) All professional audio editors support this and i believe Audacity (a free one) does too. Just swap your files out and recompile.

Hey thanks a lot for the heads up! I just had a question... Can we really change the intro animation..? I mean completely replace it..? Or is that not possible??
Reply soon....
Hi all, I find the file /User/OspSys/LifeLog/Database/lifelog.db.
It's SQLite (view by sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net )
There are many information, calls, deleted messages (but only 100 chars).
I hope, it's information isn't send anywhere, because my wave is trying to connect once a day (it's maybe one of the widget)

hi, today I just gave a quick look to all files, but I think it's possible, in PowerOnOff.ini there are clear bindings to two .swf files and a startup / shutdown .wav sound contained in the resource path Phone:/SystemFS/PowerOnOff not sure, need to watch those files, I'll verify in next days..

Yes, you can change this too in Trix but in fact nothing change. Exp. you can't change "volume level" (exp. in MediaPlayer there is limit to 14 steps, if you change that to 15 steps and add one more <spklevel> and <earlevel>-so that there will be 15 steps, but nothing change in Wave, you can still able go to max. 14 steps in MediaPlayer) and you can't change that may mp3 playing miusic lauder as well as playing video, even if you copy and paste settings from VideoPlayer to MediaPlayer (only test that on speaker not on headphones).
In Registry\MainMenu_reg.ini you can remove any icons from the main menu (except SamsungApps). The file format is clear, I will note only that the system items will have MenuType=0, custom user applications - MenuType=1, SamsungApps - MenuType=2.
And, of course, make a backup before any manipulations with MainMenu_reg.ini
to be clear
adfree had made all those expermintes before & we already know these things
if there is something new please post it

Unfortunately I have not found anything like that using tkFileExplorer...
Assuming that replacing original browser it's difficult to do, source code is available (http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/reception_main.do?method=reception_list&menu_item=mobile thanks to sabianadmin) but the browser seems deeply integrated in the os files (also notice that Samsung Dolfin is not the open source browser Dolphin..): is there anyone who found in filesystem files the textures used by the browser GUI? if aren't cripted it will be possibile to change them for having a more usable GUI on our little screen (I'm thinking of upper/lower bars..)

I think the browser user interface might be in the file called BrowserAppControl.so which can be found in the SystemFS>Osp folder. All files in that folder are in .so formats. But they are RSA 1024bit signed. And they are not like other settings in phones which are written in html or xml. These files are similar to the .dll files on Windows. .so files are Linux format files.
Is there anyway to modify an *.ini file to enable "Noise Reduction" to always be on during calls?

i got the same error
im running the latest firmware s8530DXKB1/s8530OLBKB1
you have to specify the port you are using for connection from settings
in Phone:/SystemFS/Driver/CameraCaps/DevCamDeviceCapsNConfig_Primary.xml
you can change max ISO and max resolution parameters for phone camera, so you can set iso1600 or 8mp for photos, probably it is useless but it's still a hack
thanks to: http://www.badaitalia.com/2011/06/13/fotografie-con-poca-luce-a-iso-1600/
(on Bada 1.0.2 this system folder is missing so it's not possible..)
Yeah, I read it. Tonight I'll try and I'll let you know.

[Q] Converting readable .xml to human unreadable android .xml

Hi!
I have not found any answers from Google so I'm going to post it here and those who can answer Thank You!
I can't recompile some apps that is secured or something like that..
I have modified Dolphin browser Beta's xml files to support Flash player on Jelly Bean but I can't make .xml files to human unreadable like how them are in the app packages.
Code:
/res/xml/webcontent_prefences.xml
default value from ON-DEMaND to true
deleted: dolphin:entries="@array/pref_plugin_state_choices" dolphin:entryValues="@array/pref_plugin_state_values"
/res/xml/browser_prefences.xml
added: <mobi.mgeek.preference.FlashPlayerPreference dolphin:key="plugin_state" dolphin:title="@string/pref_content_plugins" dolphin:defaultValue="true" dolphin:background="@drawable/settings_bg_middle_bk" />
Please help me if you know how to do that..
I have tried to compile another apk with those files but then it will fail compiling the APK and I have no idea what to do and how to do!
hmmmm... i am not programmer that makes applications , but as far as i know , XML files in APK is only for layout or resources , am i correct ?
if you wanna make your browser support flash , seems it doesn't have anything to do with XML files.
and usually , shouldn't you decompile the APK files first , and then modify , and recompile after all ???
in any case , it should be APK/XML human unreadable files ----(decompile)---> human readable and modify ---(recompile)---> unreadable again.
I'm not exactly sure what the command is but I believe aapt (from the Android SDK) is your best bet. Either that or something like APKTool or FJ-APKTools so that you can just 'decompile' it and replace whatever files you need (human-readable XML that is) and then repackage/'compile' it all up again.

I have used APKtool and FJ-APKtools and no luck with those, so that's why I need to do it manually somehow..
I read from internet that somehow can do something to .xml file via aapt but I don't think it could be able to convert the .xml to human unreadable .xml

[Q] Question to developers ?

Hi,
I am trying to create a theme for Note 2 with Note 3 mods. I am currently using DN3 v3 rom.
These are my questions :
1. I would like to know where installed apps from play store keeps there icons "I want to change them"
2. Where are all the stock apps "pre installed apps" located ?
3. Do i need to do any xml programming when replacing the app icons ?
Please tell me the path to those locations if you know it :fingers-crossed:
Each app is an apk file, and it contains icon(s). So there is no central place where all icons are stored.
the best you can do is to create an iconpack theme. just download one (it is apk file as well) and see how it's done. apk's are just signed-zip files, so you can open them (unzip) with any app like winzip or total commander (it is harder putting it back together). There are a lot of iconpacks available, just google it.

Change Mi A1 camera watermark manually

This is Vasu Netha and What's going on everybody!!
Here is a short demo on how to change default camera watermark to your own.
Requirements
Rooted device
Root explorer (any of your wish, like es file explorer)
Any image editor (I recommend Adobe Photoshop in your PC. Or else any mobile image editor like picsart may work)
Some Patience
Step wise Instructions
give root permissions to your file manager (In my case, I used es explorer)
Navigate to System/etc/ and find dualcamera.png file
Copy the file and paste somewhere else in your device (for sake in storage/emulated/0/Download ). We are going to use it as a reference image on which we should work later
Open the file u saved (in this case in Download folder) in Adobe Photoshop or whichever editor you like.
This is where actual purpose comes in, put your creativity in it and edit the image as you like.
*Important notice DONT CHANGE PICTURE SIZE OR RESOLUTION & SAVE THE IMAGE IN PNG FORMAT
Rename the file to dualcamera.png
Copy your edited file and paste it in system/etc/
Overwrite the existing file and change the permissions to rw-r--r--
Voila!! you have done it
Reboot your phone, open the camera app, enable watermark & see the changes
Hit thanks :good: if it works for you
Check my custom watermark in the attachments section.
Any example of the watermark you have created?
