This is Vasu Netha and What's going on everybody!!
Here is a short demo on how to change default camera watermark to your own.
Requirements
Rooted device
Root explorer (any of your wish, like es file explorer)
Any image editor (I recommend Adobe Photoshop in your PC. Or else any mobile image editor like picsart may work)
Some Patience
Step wise Instructions
give root permissions to your file manager (In my case, I used es explorer)
Navigate to System/etc/ and find dualcamera.png file
Copy the file and paste somewhere else in your device (for sake in storage/emulated/0/Download ). We are going to use it as a reference image on which we should work later
Open the file u saved (in this case in Download folder) in Adobe Photoshop or whichever editor you like.
This is where actual purpose comes in, put your creativity in it and edit the image as you like.
*Important notice DONT CHANGE PICTURE SIZE OR RESOLUTION & SAVE THE IMAGE IN PNG FORMAT
Rename the file to dualcamera.png
Copy your edited file and paste it in system/etc/
Overwrite the existing file and change the permissions to rw-r--r--
Voila!! you have done it
Reboot your phone, open the camera app, enable watermark & see the changes
Hit thanks :good: if it works for you
Check my custom watermark in the attachments section.
Any example of the watermark you have created?

I didn't try to modify them yet, but I think u have to modify the right .png and .brn files in the \windows\ folder:
Application launcher:
AL_##.png
AL_##_HL.png
"Quick dialer":
QD_##########.png
Media hub:
MH_####.brn
I don't know what those brn files are
Someone knows how to edit them?
If u want I have zipped all files in the attached zip.
Bye

Hi guys and sorry if I'm allowed to make a small guide (I'm learning) to create and replace icons touchwizgtg base to include those that beat us more about working with photoshop ...
I hope this little guide is helpful to all of you who want a little modding the graphics of your terminal
Well I leave you to better understand this video, good vision
LINK VIDEO GUIDE
Sorry for the video is in italian linguage
P.s. sorry for some typos that I made for the rush (type icons should be 87x87 and 85 as set in the video)
Requirements
TouchWiz installable package with recovery from
STEP 1
Open photoshop and create a new file size you want (eg 300x300) with transparent background
STEP 2
Once created the icons we want, save it in png format, ritagliamola so as to leave no spaces around and in ridimensioniamola 87x87 pixels and save
STEP 3
With 7Zip, navigate inside the Touchwiz.apk, and extract the folder to the Desktop hdpi-drawable (just to get the name of the file we need) copy the name of the png you want to replace (in this case "homescreen_menu_marketbg_0") and rinonimate your icon with that name
STEP 4
Also in the surf with 7Zip Touchwiz.apk, until you enter the following location touchwiz.apk \ res \ drawable-hdpi.
Once this is done you just need to drag your new icon into that folder and answer yes to the question that the program will do.
STEP 5
Now you just need to replace the "old" TouchWiz with this modified by you, or rootexplorer or flash recovery
Special thanks:

hello to all
i am a camera loving person, love to capture pictures.......
from last few months i am try to modify the Arc stock camera..
i totaly decompile the Semc camera apk file and read all the files very carefully in it
then i found if we change some thing in the apk file it will not take affect, and i found why it is
if we open root explorer and go to
System / usr / semc then here we found a folder named camera
inside the camera folder there are some files that have DAT extention
these dat files are the actual camera files all the settings are inside them
like if we want to change the compression level of picture then it will be done by modify these dat files
i try very hard to open that dat files but cant find the way to open it
can some one help me by telling me that how we can modify these dat extention file
i also attached that folder in this post
that have these files
I do believe that work on SE cameras files is very hard. Recently SE has promised that they will release their driver for developer under EULA license, so you best wait a little.
Here's the source: http://blogs.sonyericsson.com/wp/2011/09/28/sony-ericsson-supports-independent-developers/
until there is a fix for the high compression of for the se camera app, i suggest you give the app 'vignette' a try. You have the choice to save at super fine quality. Images are usually 5mb or more. Runs well on the Arc S. The only issue is the preview speed and the ui. needs fixing

Those are your problems right there...
Firstly, you cannot add anything to an apk, without adding a unique id in public.xml.
Secondly, you don't need to sign system apps.

You need to count in hex and add the new drawables, being careful not to have duplicate ids.
Also you need to edit the battery display and animation files so that the new images are used.
I recommend UOT Kitchen if you are not that experienced.

Hi,
I am trying to create a theme for Note 2 with Note 3 mods. I am currently using DN3 v3 rom.
These are my questions :
1. I would like to know where installed apps from play store keeps there icons "I want to change them"
2. Where are all the stock apps "pre installed apps" located ?
3. Do i need to do any xml programming when replacing the app icons ?
Please tell me the path to those locations if you know it :fingers-crossed:
Each app is an apk file, and it contains icon(s). So there is no central place where all icons are stored.
the best you can do is to create an iconpack theme. just download one (it is apk file as well) and see how it's done. apk's are just signed-zip files, so you can open them (unzip) with any app like winzip or total commander (it is harder putting it back together). There are a lot of iconpacks available, just google it.
