is it possible to get the stock android lockscreen to replace the sony lockscreen with rooted phones? i dont want to use apps like widgetlocker since it uses some of the battery... i just want to replace the sony lockscreen with the stock android one... probably with root explorer if possible
Know anyone answer for this question? I was thinking about changeing it to eg. Sense without using any apps

Just wait for Ice Cream Sandwich to be released and you'll have a new stock lockscreen
Yes i know, but i was thinking about sth other then slide from left to right (ics lockscreen is the same like now) but eg. up-down like in sense

I have a rooted samsung epic 4g, stock rom, and i was hoping to get rid of the horrible touchwiz lockscreen and replace it with the original gingerbread lockscreen. I have looked and looked for something like this, but all i found was glitchy apps like go locker.
Uh you mean the aosp lockscreen? The double sliders? Unlock and sound sliders...if so you'd need to be on a deodexed rom aka a custom rooted rom...for it to work.

Just flash one of the addons from a theme that is for AOSP lock screen. Make sure you are on a deodexed rom.

Well, I found one but it was in an mtz. format. I couldn't find the themes app to read that. Do I need a custom rom for the miui themes app?

One of the features I really like about stock ICS is the dialer/contacts app. I've been looking around, but I cant find an .apk for ics itself. I'm on a TW based FF18 rom,but I want to switch out the dialer and put in the stock ics one...Is this possible?
As far as I know you cant.

It works as good as locker of cyanogenmod (subjective topic, though)
Don't forget to hit the thanks button
Thanks man...but that is not what i am looking for.
Let me repeat the question again...is it possible to mod the samsung lockscreen into a stock jb one??

Just thinking out loud here... but I am kind of looking to do the same thing (although a modded colour JB locker through WidgetLocker). But searching through Framework-res.apk I found various "keyguard" resources (PNGs). The keyguard locker is what's used in TouchWiz when you disable the lockscreen ripple effect. If you wanted to swap the keyguard images you could fairly easily fake your way to something that looks like the JB lockscreen (although it wouldn't be quite the same).
But if anyone knows where to find the resources for the stock JB lockscreen I'd be very interested to know as well...
I was on JB for a while using a custom lockscreen it worked fine as I was able to disable the stock on from the android settings.
But back on GB, it seems that setting didn't excist and all these "no lock" apps don't work atall! is there anyway to disable it or does ICS also have the option to disable the lockscreen?
Mmmmm...
Hi! I think there's no such feature in GB, and every app for lockscreen are just "layers", and I often see the stock lockscreen 'til the other one appear, there's a MOD you could try to see if work for you, I personally change the rom, I'm on ICS now, with Xperia Z lockscreen type...

this feature isn't reliable in GB. when i want to switch the lockscreen back on (when not at home for example) i have to reboot to get it back. not dixperia thing - every gb stock rom i tried has this problem. i haven't tried CM7 based ones though.

I think CM has this feature, and as far as I can remember, it used to work. At least in my MM used to work and in CM for Samsung Galaxy S too.
You can use no lock app to disable lockscreen it can partially solve your problem
What thirdparty lockscreen app do you use? Cause I like the one in ICS from Xperia Z (which isn't available for GB), but as any lockscreen app I found, it hasn't the feature from Xperia NXT lockscreen (when you have new SMS, there is a "slide-to-unlock line" with the text of this message and when you unlock it, it show you directly the message, this also work with calls etc. - I don't know how to describe it properly).

well you can use no lock app from playstore or you can use cm7 toggle I've ported cm7 toggles to stock GB and I can completely disable lockscreen
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to somehow change the stock lockscreen? I really want the lockscreen from cm, but as I understand it it only possible to change actual lockscreens from Android 4.2 and up.... Is there some way to replace it on stock rom anyway though?

Of course it is. Even without root, there are some apps like Widgetlocker or GO Locker, and also when You install some custom launcher like MIUI You get their lockscreen.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jiubang.goscreenlock
For me widgetlocker works best of all.

Thanks for that, ive tried those kind of apps. But they dont actually replace the lg lock screen, but seem to override it instead. I specifically want to change to the cm lockscreen, since it is my absolute favorite:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...mctr=(not provided)&__utmv=-&__utmk=125984910
Something like this, but it is not possible to change unless your on android 4.2 or higher....
If i'm not mistaken, ROM prior to 4.2 can't have widget in the lock screen.
unless you flash it to 4.2, you won't get the same feature.
Try this new app, i am sure you will love it
