Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend an arm 'belt' which is suitable for running. I installed Runkeeper and would like to use it to monitor my speed / distance.
I don't want to put it in my pocket because I'm afraid it would get wet.
Hmm, I think, there is nothing 4 gio..
We'll gio stuff so difficult to found especially in my country.

I have tried searching for an answer to this question for a while, but haven't been able to find anything for GS2X.
Is there a way to dim these lights? I don't want to turn them off, but I find them a pain on the eyes when watching something in the dark. Also, is there a way to lock them from use when playing games?? My 5 year old daughter gets really pissed when she's trying play fruit ninja and hits the home or return buttons .. lol.
Thanks in advance!!
Its a good question and I have wondered the same but as far as dimming goes, I don't think its possible.

sorry, off topic
can your device run fruit ninja normally and smoothly???
mine cant run it at all, i am so wondering how did u make it?
thanks.
Runs awesome for me. And as far as dimming goes, that would be something that has
to be baked into the kernel. Can be done though as far as I know.

all apps run smoothly on my phone. running bullet kernal w/ juggernaut and use setcpu to performance whenever i'm gaming. burns through the battery, but hell, what game doesn't on a mobile phone
i do find at times my phone starts to run a little choppy, even with everything jacked up it scores pretty low on quadrant. if that's the case, i just reboot and it's back to running sexy fun time.

thanks for the response. so would this be something i could request in the juggernaut thread? or do they only do the rom and not the kernel? maybe i should just go there and ask them rofl.

You stated that you're using bullet kernel... Why not request in that thread?

so, you guys have rooted and tuned your device?
I think mine can not run some games because I am using original stock rom, right?
well ive found a good rom that i feel is right for me. its paranoids aokp, cyanogen, mix. got some good stuff on it...and have yet to have an issue.
i feel like im at a stand still. ive helped friends out with their s3's and they love it. im just wandering...is there anythign else?
ive read about the modem deal, but thats all greek to me, is there any benifit to changing or putting one on my phone? ive yet found a kernel that works with my phone, granted that ive only read that kt747 and another stock based one are really realiable. but has anyone that is using or used my rom, found one? i really like aokps boot animation! is there a way to put that on my setup?
im just wandering is there anything more i can do, really to setmyself apart from the average s3 owner? granted i am a guy, like any other one, the first thing i do to a car when i get it, is make it louder!! lol. so, that being ssaid, i feel like it aint over till, well theres nothing more i can do!
It's hard to answer your question objectively. But that's the beauty of android, its up to you set experiment and find the ideal setup. Personally, I don't mess with kernels because I'm not into overclocking, and I wouldn't mess around with modems because they're there to ensure you stay connected and there is not one which performs substantially better than the other.
Good luck!

There's themes, I use KT747 for the kernel and keep the latest modem. You would flash them like a rom and fix permissions after the kernel being flashed.

I have been asked by alot of folks on "why" would you root your phone. I tell them it gives me (the owner of my phone) complete control over my little S2. Some understand...but some look very confused :. So I tell them this example and its like a light goes off in their heads
Lets say that you just bought a brand new Mustang Gt. You paid for it and it is yours. Now this Mustang comes with all available "options". But Ford has them locked down and you can only use the ones that they want you to use. So lets say out of roughly 50 options Ford allows you only 20. BUT....when you "root" the PCM you have totally unlocked all the options on your car and it can now reach its FULL potential.
After I give them that example they understand and then they give me their phones to be rooted!!! This is just al little something for the Non-Rooters who visit our threads. Enjoy:laugh:
Dont root will just break ur phone :banghead:

Root only if you want to OVERCLOCK your phone , or you want to Install a Custom run ( which i think you would as stock rom is **** )
It'll give you special access to Overclock your Phone which maybe dangerous , you are playing with your phones hardware.
If you use it just to personalize your phone with a custom rom you are good to go , but it'll void your warranty

Some of the responses are incorrect. Rooting will not void your warranty. Only if you leave it rooted. If you to return the phone just unroot by flashing a stock rom. As far as benefits go rooted is definitely better. You can install custom roms, kernels, mods, etc. Overclock and underclock. Use custom recovery like cwm or twrp instead of stock recovery. You will also have a faster phone with a custom rom and most have tweaks for internet, gps, data, audio, etc. So the overall phone will be better so root away!!!

ROOT = Mustang GT
STOCK = Prius :crying:
Every time someone has a problem with an app acting up or freezing and or lost data; I tell them that's why I root. Then explain titanium backup.
Every time they have a problem with call clarity or whatever; I tell them that's why I root and explain to them about flashing a radio.
You can see were I'm going with this!!!

Ubuntu Touch 1.0 will be released on October 17th. I noticed no one has attempted to port one of the beta versions.
Is there any interest in Ubuntu Touch?

Ubuntu is pretty and something new, but its very very far from ever being a daily replacement for android. Just go read in forums that have it. Its pretty useless.
Does it or will it ever have access to playstore and android apps? If not....good luck to them......

It would still be nice to have the option of a different OS, but true, the lack of applications makes it relatively useless compared to Android.
Lack of apps may be an issue now but if everyone avoids it because of that the problem will never be solved I was really excited for the 1.0 but it still seems very buggy on the official phone, so we might have to wait a little longer before it's worthwhile to port it over.
My gs2 ? is acting a fool. I have to change batteries everytime one ????

Every time you what? Try to flash something else to it and it just used up a lot of the battery? Or do you mean you thought you bricked it but it turned out to be a bad battery?
Hey guys
cruising the discovery page for something interesting i found this new project: http://kck.st/1orpp4t
they are saying it has a 3 year battery life per charge so u don't need to charge it all the time/buy a new one, and also works on older phones (But we own new one so that matters less)
anyways i wanted to show you guys to see what you think and if i should get one and also show to you incase you want one.
So what happens when you lose the phone finder? You get another gadget to find it?
I just use Device Manager to ring up my phone if i displace it: https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager
