Is anyone facing error 920 while installing apps from
play store. Even opera doesn't work properly
when using WiFi on cm11...
And I have noticed that this happens only when using WiFi... Works fine when using data connection
I faced this problem with alpha 1 as well..
I have tried clearing data and cache of play store... Wiped /cache and dalvik cache from cwm, setting up static IP instead of dhcp... But the problem won't go away.
It seems to be WiFi related problem rather than of a specific app..
Any help would be appreciated

I recommend you to do a clean flash of the rom.... Follow these steps:
1.Backup Your Data
2.Wipe /system,/cache,/data from CWM
3.Flash Rom
4.Flash Gapps
OK here s my qstn
Think I installed cm11 alpha 2, and after some days they release say alpha 3 or beta
At that time should not again reflash entire ROM?

Just mount system and flash .. You should be good with it.
Simple Q from a total noob, cause before I start to climb the learning curve for CyanogenMod installing, I want to make sure not to waste my time.
My phone sais:
Bootloader unlock allowed: No
Should I give up already, or there's a remedy for this problem?

Just a curious question. What is the version of firmware you're currently use?
Older firmware of C1905 have a bug that change bootloader unlock status every restart.

The latest one officially available: 15.1.C.2.8
So you are telling me that if I downgrade to some older version (which one?) I only have to restart several times until I get a permission?

No. What I mean is if you still use older version of firmware, it might be just a bug. But because you are using newest firmware, it seems it's not a bug but the bootloader really not unlockable.

Good Rom - But some issues (may be I'm alone)
Hey Dudes,
Sony Xperia M C1905
- Bootloader unlocked
- Rooted
- CWM installed
- CM11 Alpha 2 installed + configured
1. - I had one issue with PICO TTS, I navigate to settings Text in Speech - I got an error message PICO TTS closed.
- Seems that I fixed it with reinstalliing PICO - now it works for me. My Alarmclock speaks now with me (Time, Weather).
2. - I use a Alarmclock that can activate the sleepmode (5 more minutes to sleep before I had to step out of my fantastic bed) with shaking my device - with my Defy+ and CM7 it worked very well - with Xperia M and Stock Rom also, but with Alpha2 CM11 no reaction - no sleepmode - damn I had to step out of my bed early any Problems with G Sensors or Accelerometer?
3. Lockscreen - Pin ist set - if I try to unlock the Phone I had to directly fill in the Pin - I used to first wipe then the Pin Screen appears.
Is this new to CM11 ( I had CM7) or is this normal in Android above the old one?
Thanks to the Developers and also to the Community.
Lars

Please have a look into xperia-m/development - the Root Howto works for me.
Once I had a little Problem - that could be solved with the CWM (root fix message) - after that I reinstalled the Superuser app.
Hi to all.
Please, can someone tell, does:
1. Wi-Fi Direct
2. FM Radio (stock Effem or Spirit FM)
3. Photosphere (may be not installed by default: use this)
works in this awesome ROM?
And does navbar landscape issue and visual glitches was fixed in Alpha 2?
Also about missing torch app and tile: here's some example commits that must bring it back.

They usual can't be unlocked – Sony warn about this here.

I believe it's useful for sake of clarity to concentrate in a single TD the search of the rooting method for the new firmaware JB 4.3 and its detailed explanation.
So far I have seen this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51395773&postcount=38 from gamer649 mentioning the methods NOT working
this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51397314&postcount=48 from rsrishabh suggesting another method (anyone with a follow-up ?)
and finally this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51425160&postcount=99 claiming an easy method; StraightEdgeKid, could you please elaborate your method here ?
Here is mine one i have already rooted 4.3 successfully..

Umm, not really. At this point many many of us are hoping for a root method that doesn't involve screwing around with the bootloader. So your post and question is quite pertinent

I believe the point andyxoxo is making has a lot of sense: haresh311999's methods works only with unlocked bootloaders. People who cannot unlock bootloaders or doesn't want (myself), doesn't have a working rooting tool/method. Let's write in this thread our effort (I changed the title accordingly).
So far among the known methods only what rsrishabh is suggesting has to be tested.

If you flash 4.3 on top of 4.1.2 won't it wipe system including root? Or did I not get it. If you think it will work I can try it later.

As expected it didn't work. It wipes /system and then flashes the one from the .ftf.
Well, I have rooted my phone with flashing 4.1 kernel and then this SuperSU app from here.

Then again flashed 4.3 kernel.

I think this method might work.
Bcz if we select not to wipe user data, it will keep the user apps and data, I'm not sure what happens with system apps and SuperSu is system app, yeah?
Possibly it won't.
This is just my guess.
It will keep the SuperSU app but it will not have the "root" power.
It's just a guess, someone must try on locked bootloaders.

Ah, Since You have "Allow to unlock bootloader = No", You cannot unlock Your bootloader, and there is no possible way to unlock it. You can always try ROM built for locked bootloaders.

bluetooth problem with AOSP 4.4.4 rom
1st of all i'd like to thank everybody who worked on this project and appreciate their work and
say that it seems the blue tooth does not work well because personally i have problems with my cars
head unit (pioneer deh-8950bt) .
every thing is ok from connecting to syncing contacts but there is no voice on calls just a i can hear
something like hummm and noises.
i didnt have this problem with stock rom.
and i had a hang while was on camera for a long period without taking a photo (just once).i dont use camera usually.
p.s : having less than 10 posts does not show im an idiot !
my phone :
sony xperia acro s
kernel 96
rooted
unlocked bootloader via flash tool
rom : 4.4.4 ASOP
link to thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785450
I can confirm this problem: listening to music via bluetooth works, but not handsfree.
I checked with a Sony MW600, an Arctic P311 and a Belkin Air Cast Auto.
When trying to make a call, only strange hissing sounds can be heard.
But there's another, much bigger problem with this rom:
After a few minutes of heavy usage (e.g. some websites, navigating with GPS) the phone freezes, the screen turns a strange yellow-red color and the phone reboots. It then enters a boot loop. Only after letting it cool for a few minutes will it start up again.
This happens from 0 to 10 times a day.
Apart from this, the rom is great.
Cheers,
Johannes
bluetooth problem
Hi
I love this rom - its so fast, but i have a problem with bluetooth and my jvc car unit. When i try to call by car unit i only hear noise - nothing else. I had this problem on AOSP 4.4.3 and on 4.4.4 also.
Have you any idea what is the problem? Thanks for your reply . Your work is great.
I found a possible reason for the frequent crashes. The CPU was overclocked to 1,8GHz by default. I never changed the clock speed and only found out after installing Setcpu.
At 1,6GHz the crashes have stopped.
Is that behaviour intended or a bug?
Cheers,
Johannes
Please say me how you installed rom,I installed CWM and my phone is rooted but i can t enter in recovery mode on my acro S
