Currently on LeeDroid 5.1.1 radio 26.14 stock kernel...
what are the best rom/kernel combinations for gaming, then again the dhd doesn't have much battery life.
Does Lordmods CFS kernel add battery life and help extend life for dhd gaming?
thanks
Everyone will give u different opinions on this, best thing is to try them to see what works best for you. What works good for me may not for you.

neophytes rom compared to what ?, its definitely better than the default rom. I found that neophytes rom gave me excellent battery life =D
compared to NexTSense? i think NexTSense have good battery life. Never tried the Neophyte's Neophyte yet.
Oh sorry heh heh. I was in a rush a wasn't very specific. I meant between his two rom's. Anyone feel any difference between his stock based one and his sense based one?

I switched from the normal one to the battery save, and noticed a distinct improvement in battery life.
That said, there are so many contradictory comments on threads about overall performance of different ROMs, the only way to find out is to give it a go on your phone.
I guess it is fair to say that the battery save version should be better, but you may not need it....
Battery save Roms only run up to 800mhz though
Having tried both I feel that Neophyte 1.6 is the best Rom for battery.
Alright thanks everyone. I'll give then both a try.

Hi
What is A Kernal ? Why i need it ?
thanks
A kernel is a layer of software, responsible for communication between the hardware and the OS. It is also responsible for power, cpu and memory management. Diffrent kernels can vastly improve battery life and device performance

Pretty much already said and answered, your kernel is your best friend, it's all about finding the best one for you, basically, it will determine your handsets speed, battery life and overall level of awesome . I reccomend LeeDroids or Buzz's. Their kernels are pretty stellar, and almost always used in many custom ROM's.

swagged out stock swagger =on or just stock rom it depends on what kind of sense you really want sense 1.0 is meant for our evos whether we like it or not it will be the best preforming sense and best battery friendly sense 2.0 and 3.0 and 3.5 are alll battery hogs for our evos hardware also GB is not very battery friendly like froyo so ever sense omjs 2.2 froyo based roms stopped being developed the best gb rom would be swaggedoutstock for your battery ive tested it for a month and found the best battery with it but still not nearly as good as the Old stock sense 1.0 froyo roms
Battery life is more dependent on the kernel you are using than the Rom. However, going strictly on the stock kernel the best battery I got was on tommytomatoes classic rom.

What's the best kernel for r3charged from as far as battery life goes?

That depends on your phone, the kernels act different on different phones. The only way to know for sure is to flash each one and see for yourself, it's a pain I know but that's all we got. Poonsense gives me the best battery but most people here seem to like lithids freedom kernel the most.
Which kernel gives good performance and good battery life? anthrax seems to be eating up my battery to fast
Anthrax seemed to work the best on my phone. I gave it a couple days to really settle in before seeing great performance and battery life.
Stock kernel is very good too.

I've seen some kernals repacked for ARHD but I can't seem to find the one with the best battery life.
Any suggestions?
I'm currently on faux123's btw.

For battery life stock is the best imo. I would suggest sticking with stock until the Kernel Devs have had a chance to release something more stable.
Faux has best battery life for me.
