Hi all,
I would ask a question about news and weather widget. I'm experiencing the following the strange behaviour:
1.. when I have a data connection available, I can click on the widget to get weather forecast page and everything is working fine
2.. when there is no data connection, weather forecast page is sometimes shown but sometimes not and I got a connection error.
How could that be possible?
Is there a way to get it work all the time?
Sorry if I'm asking something which may even be in some other thread but there are too many threads about this, that I'm not able to read all of them

What ROM / weather widget are you speaking of? I am thinking it is due to your update settings...
a. when you open and is due to update (no data), you will not see page as its trying refresh...
b. when you see it, it probably has refreshed previously when you had data and didnt need to update...
Fancy Widgets is the best I have found for weather, looks a lot like HTC Sense with a great deal more features and settings. Available from the Market

I don't think so as connection has been always off between step (a) and (b)

I just noticed that my weather on touch isn't working properly. everytime i try to update it, it says there was a connection error... is anyone else getting this?
I did put Conflipper North American Weather v4 (forgot where I found it) on my TP2 so i got extra cities to choose from, if that makes a difference....
Anyone have a solution?

it comes up saying...
"There was a connection error while attempting to download weather data. Retry?"
Yea I was having the same issue.
I un-installed the conflipper weather cab and weather is updating fine now.
Wonder if something is blocking the weather updates that the cab file uses.

I uninstalled and the weather is working for me, too. I posted this on the conflipper thread over here:

so hopefully we can see a fix soon.

Ahh, ok so it was a server issue with Conflipper after all. Once he gets new hosting it should be back up and running again.
Hopefully this is soon.

Sucks! I was having the same problem, thank goodness for internet forums!!
I guess I'll uninstall mine too to get my old weather back, was nice having the cities I actually wanted.

im running winmo 6.5 official. google maps shows the correct location. the weather is also correct. the time too, if i click on the local time, it shows my city. however in the today screen it shows "my location" not the name of the city. what do you think could be wrong?

mine did that also after a fresh install .. what i did was ..
delete ALL from the weather / time locations
add a your close city / new city ..
Pick that ..
Then go back and pick My Location ..
and delete the new city
Fixed mine ..
i did that. still not working

this is the solution
go to settings-->apps-->all-->find google services framework-->force stop it and clear data..
do the same thing to playstore
then reboot...
its common problem from google....sometimes playstore just mess up

You need to pick an element that has a lot of relatives (ie - lists consist of elements that have the same use in a webpage). Then you need to click "use all as list".

It took me a while but managed to get it working, I think this was mainly due to the sites format.
now working extremely well, I have paid for the key.
Could I request a little feature?
If possible could you allow the title font to be changed ?
Great app though, really useful.

what does a small red exclamation mark mean in the widget?
Usually it means there was a problem with the parser. I will try to fix this for your site today as I also noticed it.

still cannot get this to work with the site.
Think the site formatting is causing issues. I have tried for ages, still get the red exclamation mark and the news feed does not update.
Im not sure what it could be. Try not to strip html.

Hello everyone,
This is my first post in the xda community, I usually don't post because I find solutions for most of my problems in previous threads here, but not this time unfortunately.
Ok here is my "problem", in fact it's not a big deal but it's qa bit annoying for me, it started with Aptoide when I saw that there was an update for my SNote app, I clicked on update and it has successfully updated to a new version, the problem was that this version is not compatible with my Note 2 N7100, so everytime I tried to access SNote it stopped working, after that I have downloaded the official jelly bean firmware and flashef it using odin so that it can fix the problem, and it was really fixed, I could access the SNote, everything was fine, except the S-pen page buddy, it showed me a blank page with no templates even if I have them in the SNote app, and that's annoying because those templates on the page buddy were really useful.
You'll see what I'm talking about in the pictures uploaded from my mobile, and I hope I will get some help from you guys, I know you're genius so please take some time to help me.

1) Trigger S-PEN Page buddy
2) Go to Widgets in application drawer and select Snote Widget 4x3
3) drop it to Snote Page

Hi guys i seem to be having trouble with smart notice weather alerts. Every time i go to the widget settings and then thr places tab its greyed out and says location unavailable? I have turned on location settings and can use the gps on maps etc but this seems to not turn on and not track my location. Im unable to view weather animation at lockscreen as well? My phone is the korean version and im living in australia.

I cant its a korean widget just worked out it wont work overseas for alert cards.
You should ask on whirlpool - Pafc66
I reside in hong kong and the widget app seems to be working fine on most part. I say this because when its raining in HK, the phone says "Rain/Snow" and the animation shows a bunch of snow falling. This is kinda funny cuz its currently 30 degrees c and the phone is not smart enough to determine that it can't snow under such weather condition.

Haha yeah I noticed that too. It said snow here yesterday in Melbourne but it was like 14 degrees. Gets cold but not that cold!!

You really have two options:
