Do you have WP7?

There are shotrages of WP7 devices across both Europe and US and I was wondering how many people managed to get one. I'm waiting for Omnia 7 / Venue Pro since official launch (21st of October) and they are still nowhere to be found in Czech republic or nearby countries.

I have a hd7 from O2 Germany and I love it .
I came from a tp so actually everything is better

came from a touch pro as well, got a HTC 7 Trophy. Really enjoying the upgrade.

I have a LG Optimus 7.

iPhone 3G
Big improvement over android in usability, better interface over iOS.

Omnia 7
used IPhone 2G, WM6.5

I'm also desperately waiting for the Omnia7, but no luck so far. Seems like the middle EU countries are again left out and treated like the illiterate end of the world
To tell the truth, my patience is not never-ending and I may end up switching to whole other platform since I'm getting more disappointed day by day...

I had an HTC HD7 from T-Mobile

I have been looking for a 16 GB Omnia 7 in Thailand,Malaysia, Singapore and Australia and have had no luck so far even the 8 GB is impossible to find.

Selling like crazy in Springfield, but just happened to go to att store day new shipment arrived. Got it yesterday, so still learning it. Came from iphone 3Gs w/ios 4. Have unlocked Dream that I abuse with any Android version that looks interesting. Am thinking about going back to earlier version as most newer ROMs are dog slow. Also have Nokia 5800 and Epix. So far iphone my fav with jury still out on Focus.

ordered mine through tmous business telesales to get a discount. Got it for 100.00 after 50 mail in rebate. Should be here UPS this afternoon. I can't wait!!!

im in th uk waiting to buy either an omnia7 or hd7 sim free. ill probably buy god willing whichever comes available first. a bit frustrating not being able to buy one till now and the wait goes on.

Could people who bought some WP7 unlocked device point me in the direction where they bought it? Thanks.

HTC Trophy from Vodafone. Well, actually it's my wifes and I'm jealous as h**l. I am amazed at how fast, fluid and responsive the UI is.
I'm stuck on my contract until September then a Touch Pro 7 for me. Until then, my HD2 will suffice.

I'm hoping to buy an HTC Mozart sometime. Such a beautiful looking phone. Too bad it's not even available in the US. And even it it were, it would probably be AT&T only like most other WP7 phones. God damn Verizon.

Got mine thru carrier and they have plenty in stock according to the Sales guy.
Loving it so far and it came sim unlocked or Telstra is just not locking them up.
Sim lock is a pain in the arse when you travel to other countries and one of the reasons I went with the Mozart.

rumor mill said it will be AT&T LTE based model and Verizon wireless should be getting one....(crossing fingers on that, I would sign a 2 year today if Verizon had one)

Sucks that ATT doesnt have LTE in my area right now but I will have to pay for LTE service even though they dont offer it yet in my area. Verizon LTE towers are up and running in my area though

Apparently it may sport a 4.3 in screen, if so and someone unlocked this thing plus have decent optics like the HTC titan, then i may have to retire my HD2 back to Windows Mobile and send my Touch HD to where all good phones go to die, Africa apparently

Interesting that it says it ships with Mango. I was under the impression they couldn't do LTE without Tango.

Some of the rumors have mentioned a modified Mango to support LTE but wont necessarily be rolled out to all devices. Guess we'll see.

Nokia Lumia 900 not coming to UK (Europe)?

So far there are no signs at all that the Lumia is coming to the UK, which so far means that there is no true 2nd gen device coming from nokia. I dont count the Lumia 800 as a 2nd gen device, it dosnt even have a front facing camera!!! I suspect that the HTC Titan 2 wont be coming to the UK either..... thanks for leaving your most loyal countries out nokia.

There was a map on the nokia website detailing what phones were goign where. Basically in the UK we are only getting the 710 and 800.
It is disappointing as I am due an upgrade in April and whilst the 800 seems the most likely upgrade prospect there is nothing that really stands head and shoulders above my Omnia (considering there is an 18 month time period between there is no massive advancement).
I'm torn about what to do. I need to upgrade as the Omnia hasn't worked right since Mango with data connection problems. No carriers in the UK even offer the HTC Titan... the only choices on Orange currently are the 800, radar or mozart.
It is frustrating that there is such a high end Nokia handset out there, but we are only offered the mid and low range.

This is exactly the kind of complaining you heard in the US last fall when the 800 was released to Europe, but not to the States.
Don't worry! Nokia is steadily designing and releasing phones - Europe will get its 900 level flagship phone. Keep in mind that Nokia just released the N9 last September. It has a lot of holes in it's lineup to refresh before it gets back to addressing the top. When it does, and Europe has the bright, shiny new Super Lumia, you will once again here the whining masses from the US curse their fate and complain that they "only" have a Lumia 900.

That's the phone Elop meant when he spoke about the Lumia 1000 not launching in the US - only Europe in March. Mmmmm - 64GB of goodness....

I am not sure if I am going to regret it but I am up for renewal and getting a 800 this Sunday.
I really hope Nokia does not come up with some ass kicking phone in another 6 months

Not sure it will come as it designed to have lte centric hardware

Nokia Lumia 610

I just noticed this on a site here in Australia that sells unlocked phones that they have the lumia 610 on pre order for 349. I did a quick "bing" search and i could not find any pricing details for this phone what so ever, so they either have made it up or they know something that i cannot find elsewhere.
Either way 349 is way to expensive for what I would consider a low budge handset which is what nokia and Microsoft is trying to achieve with tango. Why would anyone spend that kind of money when they could spend slight more on a HTC radar. I really hope this is not correct and that this site has no clue what they’re talking about because both Microsoft and Nokia have wasted a lot of time and money on tango.

Nokia priced 610 at € 189 which, by today's exchange rate in my country, makes it $249 and $235AUD, so it is just this shop's policy on preorders, I believe. It will be cheaper when it is actually available.
Its price is still pretty expensive in my country though, you can find 710 new, unboxed within this price range. I hope it will become a lot cheaper than its sisters.

I already have the Nokia 610 and im in the philippines and i got it for 10,950.00 PHP ( = 259.294 USD). I can get it cheaper outside of the nokia store but the price isnt really that high. Its an excellent phone and you get your moneys worth.
Microsoft did a really great job on Tango as the phone does not lag nor has it shown any problems...
Im looking forward to this having interop. hopefully as it is a cheap phone it would be done

Lumia 900 already in stores?? (AT&T)

So black in cyan may be the immediate options.. Was really hoping to find the white as well. Someone mentioned there will be no matte white for the 900, only the glossy white. Is this true?

I called some stores in the Columbus, OH area. They said no demo's or product to speak of but to check back this Sunday.
I also read Glossy White, and have not heard about Matte White as for color options.

I stopped in my local ATT store today and got to play around with one I asked if there was any chance they had a nokia lumia 900 around to look at and there was a weird silence and first reply of, it will be available in April...so I say thanks, turn around and begin to play with a note. about 30 secs later the nice rep comes over with a cyan blue, fully operational 900 in hand and said that he just got the ok to show me. so all in all, pretty cool experience. being there is little disparity in windows devices, I was primarily concerned with the build quality, screen, and camera. All of which seemed very nice. Still wasn't enough to sell me though...it's just too far behind the times in technology to warrant a upgrade at this point. I think I will wait for the HTC One X...

Everyone in my market (at&t employee) has the Lumia 900... even though the launch is a couple of weeks away... Nokia has made a big deal about this device... I like WP however I am missing my Galaxy Note... I will carry the Lumia until further notice and I will enjoy it!

Don't be surprised that all AT&T stores and employees have them in hand before official launch....
In the USA the AT&T employees get them for free !

If anyone is reading this from Buffalo area, let us Canadians know which AT&T stores have lots of stock. Rogers here in Canada is only allowing reservations if you currently have a data plan or want to sign up on a data plan. There are lots of us that want to buy off contract since we are on plans with other carriers. We will be the last on the list with Rogers. Maybe AT&T stores can let us know so we can buy them there and they'll sell a ton of them.

If it's anything like the 800, then it's micro-sim inserted at the top of the phone. Nothing a sim cutter can't solve. Most cell phone shops have them and can be ordered on Amazon or Ebay if you prefer to do the cutting yourself.

I know that 800 uses micro SIM but was hoping that since 900 is larger it would accomodate a regular sized SIM. Dont feel like fumbling with adapters when swapping SIM's.

900 uses the Micro also. Its in the spec and in the unboxing video from yesterday. Sim swapping might be over for a while.

Again, why? Just get an adapter. Problem solved.

No need to buy an adapter.... just use the portion of the sim card that gets cut away. That's what I do ! Not that I'm swaping phones much anymore. I like my Lumia 710 and once I have 900, it will be my only phone. My backup phone stuffed in a drawer will have the remaining piece of sim card that was cut away so I know where it is and ready for me to pop in the micro sim if I have to use that phone.

I wishfully guess next weekend not April 8th-9th will be the release time frame. Huffington Post reporting the 9th not the day. My local rep still claims to not have a clue about the Lumia 900. They told me to call back today.

AT&T has been in the habit ot releasing new phones on Sundays, so the 8th date is plausible.

It may vary by market but here (Louisville, KY) B&M stores have been releasing phones the same day it was available online.
