[req] x one status bar - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

so we used to do this back in the N1 days, making a flashable zip of the htc sense status bar, can anyone make a similar zip using the status bar from the new htc one x?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

yes it seems to be semi transparent instead of all black like galaxy nexus stock, so that would be nice, or leave it black, but mostly i'm after the new icons up top...

I can make a theme but I need a leaked Sense 4.0 ROM or something. Any links?

doesnt blow my mind yet....its just another good phone.
Its hard to really make an impact in the smartphone market, because everything is outdated the second it comes out. The only way to produce something new is to publish a new OS version and improve everything.
Still the improvements done with the one series are significant. Far better camera, Android 4 ,Sense 4 and beats audio.....but well....beats audio was there before and android 4 as well. So just camera, Sense and processer power improvements.

Yup, too late for HTC make OneX in this time. But i think OneX is improvements of HTC ^^!
Sorry, my English is not good

maybe it has one signal bar more, but its not worth creating 30 new files. If you want to wait for the first oneX roms thats one thing, but for those who want something in the coming days they need to be satisfied with this^^

Almost done. Will post it soon.

Sense Zipthemer Theme
It will work with all ROMs

These images were taken from the Rezound ICS ROM and edited by me to fit AOSP.
There were a lot of weird images in the Sense framework that I couldn't use but I'm certain that the One X images aren't much different than the Rezound ICS images.

[MOD] Extended Settings for Virtuous 2.0

Hi Guys,
Made a few different SystemUI mods. I thought it would be easier to have them all in one place and not dotted all over the ROM thread.
These mods may break stuff as the SystemUI.apk was pulled from a different ROM. So please do a nandroid before flashing just in case as I will accept no responsibility if your phone breaks. But I have tested them all and they should be fine.
All of the zips also install the HTC Task Manager app.
Also these mods are not approved by the Virtuous Dev Team so if you have problems with the rom please don't report bugs until you have flashed back to the stock virtuous notification bar.
Unlike the mods I posted in the Virtuous 2.0 thread these should have the all the stock notification icons. If I have missed something please let me know.
These mods will not change your battery icons to the one in the screenshot, that is my personal mod and is not included in the zip.

Hi,
how do you get slider at brightness settings? I try flash your files but i don't have it .
Should work have turned auto brightness off?
Of the mod didn't work at all, try mounting system in recovery before flashing and don't use rom manager to flash.
Yes, auto is off but nothing. Isn't big problem but would be nice if its work - one less widget on my homescreen .

[REQUEST] Transparent SoftKeys for AOSP roms

Hello,
The title says it all......
I currently am running Android Revolution HD with the transparent soft key mods installed, along with some custom soft key icons that I made...
I can't stand the plain black behind the soft keys (while on the home screen), so I use the transparent soft key mod and then I add a dock to my wallpaper so it makes it look like I have a new background behind my softkeys.
This is my current set-up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Here is where the problem lies -
I really want to switch to one of these AOSP roms for the addition of all the customization options, and power menus and all of that. But the transparent soft key mods that I was using, won't work with AOSP roms. Ive tried and tried, they just break the SystemUI and make the phone unusable until I restore my backup.
Im not sure why the mod doesn't work on these AOSP roms. I think it has something to do with how they modded the SystemUI to be able to customize colors and stuff right from the new rom, but whatever the reason, I can't use the transparent mod on these roms... but I can't stand the black background behind the softkeys while im on my home screen.
I have done a few mods myself, but mostly image edits/swaps and very basic codes. Im not good enough at it to figure this one out. Somebody should make a transparent soft key mod that works with these AOSP roms, or maybe incorporate a transparency option into the rom's settings. That would be really awesome.
I agree i will keep watch on this post!!

While your in an app or anything like the like the app drawer etc... it reverts back to the black background... which is perfect for me... the home screen remains transparent and then it goes black on anything else.
It just sucks so bad, because I want a new AOSP rom so bad, but I can't live with the plain black on my home screen.

Thats strange, the transparent soft key mods worked on Android Rev Hd, an a few other roms, but every rom that I have tried that said "AOSP" in the title, the transparency mod broke the SystemUI. I wonder why, I really wish I could get this working with some of these newer roms....
I think it's not AOKP oder AOSP or something
Android Rev HD is based on Android 4.0.2 and nearly every other ROM is based on 4.0.3. Somewhere there is the cause for the problem, I think.

I tried both yours and fatsix on rootzwiki and I keep losing both my nav and status bars every time despite me using the correct zip. I even tried to decompile my own systemui and do that and ended with the same result. I'm hoping AOKP can add this soon as an option because I really just cant seem to get this working right.
also above poster, do yourself a favor and please just learn to search forums, its right in plain sight on rootzwiki under galaxy nexus, CDMA, Themes/mods, [MOD] Transparent nav/status bar.
lol OT, but thats such a badass wallpaper

Dithered vs Non-Dithered ICS Background

This has bothered me since i first looked at my One X
Why in the hell is the ICS Holo Dark Background not dithered?
for those who don't know what i mean, look at the two pics,
Dithered:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
not Dithered: (stock look)
The only point i would see, is the difference in file size (4,4 Kb vs 119 Kb)
but never the less i very much prefer the dithered png, and so i added it to the framework-res.apk
if anyone wants to use this just copy the file into framework-res.apk/res/drawable-nodpi/background_holo_dark.png

Well if you guys want this fix in a ROM, go look for the Energy ROM in the dev section. I released my ROM with this in it yesterday! Props endursa !
Made a zip that patches the bg into the framework. Haven't tested it, but it should work.
Uses Villiantheme, so your original framework-res will be modified rather than replaced.
