[A] Can We Get Sense 3.0 on Epic 4G?

I resently saw HTC's Sense 3.0 on my freind's rooted MyTouch 4g and it was too amazing. It made me wonder is it possible be to get Sense 3.0 on a Epic or no?

Get an HTC phone with it, and you will have it everyday!

You may want to ask this in the Galaxy S Android Development (and Or Nexus S) because they have more devs and then maybe we can port their Sense 3.0 ROM

Yepp, and righ now we no haz the manpower to do it. I mean we could, but all of the devs we have are busy on other roms. We don't have any devs looking for somthing to do..

Even for experienced developers it's a pretty serious undertaking, you would have to write the drivers for the entire Rom.

It sounds like @ahmgsk_mod is gonna work on it after MIUI, but it's not even alpha yet. It says on his twitter

Sounds like he may have resumed developing then, which is fantastic for the Epic community since we have very few devs.

Hmm, yeah see... about that whole writing drivers thing... lol that would take a lot of time to learn. I mean midNight rom amazes me and I actually am starting to try other roms out to see what i like best. midNight is still my fave! And I definately support his cause. Next on my list is a custom splash that I would like to make myself.
EDIT: By the way, not saying i wouldnt want to learn how to write drivers, but I am FAR from being ready to dev.

No mention of 4G but him and his team (TeamWIN) were the ones to bring Wimax to CM7 for the Evo so we can only hope for the best... he DID mention on this twitter that he will be moving off on his own for the project.
Personally, I'll be more than happy with a working CM9 for our device - it's just going to scream with our specs. Besides, I'm almost never on 4G anyway.

That's from a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. That baseband is definitely not compatible with the Galaxy W.

There are a lot of small, under-the-hood changes, but by far the biggest is 'project butter' - the pursuit of buttery smoothness throughout the UI, that you mentioned. Even on the Nexus S it's very good, but it's close to perfection on the Galaxy Nexus.
Of course there's a new boot animation, live wallpapers etc., but the major change is the smoothness. In most other regards, it very closely mirrors ICS

Ruthlessrabbid here with a very stupid qiestion. I know it was just released, but will it be possible for windows 8 to be ported by developers to this phone? Thanks in advance for any answers.

I must add, though, the greatest device ever was the hd2. It could boot any windows, android, hell, it had jelly bean before android devices did, and run Linux.
Maybe the genius is to big a windows phone, so you don't have to worry about closed source/proprietor, then boot android or whatever else from it.

I can't deal with close source OS, you have no idea how gay my iPad is. No jailbreak, no root, no flash, no customization, no nothing, nothing fun:banghead: except Netflix Once the Nexus 10 comes out I'm trading that crap in and make up the difference. F windows 8 on this phone but my laptop with definitely be getting it

Technically, we did get a build that boots and sorta works but had a lot of work to be done. It was a scam in the end.

Edit: Pressed send on accident.
There was Swamp Goblin who scammed the community into buying him an E4GT to port Sense which we did get a booting but broken port.
Then we had another developer that was making a Sense themed TW ROM, he then had to sell his E4GT to take his daughter to a doctor. As far as I know, he is still working on the theme but he cannot personally test it.

Yep. There's actually a pretty cool Windows 8 Launcher on the Play Store. It's really cool. I switch between that one and Nova.
