[A] Can We Get Sense 3.0 on Epic 4G?

I resently saw HTC's Sense 3.0 on my freind's rooted MyTouch 4g and it was too amazing. It made me wonder is it possible be to get Sense 3.0 on a Epic or no?

Get an HTC phone with it, and you will have it everyday!

You may want to ask this in the Galaxy S Android Development (and Or Nexus S) because they have more devs and then maybe we can port their Sense 3.0 ROM

It can't cause harm, it is just a massive undertaking for a dev to commit to.

Yepp, and righ now we no haz the manpower to do it. I mean we could, but all of the devs we have are busy on other roms. We don't have any devs looking for somthing to do..

Even for experienced developers it's a pretty serious undertaking, you would have to write the drivers for the entire Rom.

It sounds like @ahmgsk_mod is gonna work on it after MIUI, but it's not even alpha yet. It says on his twitter

Sounds like he may have resumed developing then, which is fantastic for the Epic community since we have very few devs.

Hmm, yeah see... about that whole writing drivers thing... lol that would take a lot of time to learn. I mean midNight rom amazes me and I actually am starting to try other roms out to see what i like best. midNight is still my fave! And I definately support his cause. Next on my list is a custom splash that I would like to make myself.
EDIT: By the way, not saying i wouldnt want to learn how to write drivers, but I am FAR from being ready to dev.

While that was a great kernel the thing that most people drooled over ("Snap Turbo" , which made the quadrant scores that were simply unreal) were mostly smoke and mirrors...what's the smoke and where are the mirrors? I have no idea. I wish I knew. It did scream, but, not as much as it seemed like.
...did they ever divulge or anyone ever figure out what the trick was? In the 15 minutes that it was initializing (and taking over your rom making it impossible to ever use another kernel without doing a full wipe) it was certainly doing something.

Looks like 360 Launcher on ICS with extras.

I have flashed and done a complete wipe, and I am experiencing WIFI issues. besides that, its a very interesting ROM

I like all these different roms.just sucks that they don't get updated or fixed etc..thanks for the port Swamp.

I will update as time permits. I have a busy life. Im one single dev, it would help if more devs jumped in and fixed where issues are. I do my best.
I see wifi is an issue. I will take a look.
Not my kinda rom either, but its kinda cool. I like different.

I don't think it would look bad. Touchpro had a screenie of one of his old ics roms and he was running tablet mode and it looked sick! I know that this isn't tablet mode this is a rom but still looks sick

So is this Rom being worked on? I can't wait to try it out.

Someone can use my my port guide, in my signature, to try it out. Just find a HTC device that has the ROM. The mytouch 4g has it

Does it take a lot of skill? I can't even USB mount my phone to my computer not to mention going to the field and work....

Serious Tester Needed

So as the title states I need 1 serious tester that will actually report back with issues or compliments to either ptmr3 or myself and not take the rom for an early release and run away. PM me or post here with your experience in the android community. I don't want to get posts about "I know how to root and install a custom rom". I want replies about if you have actually tested before for other teams or if you developed before etc. Thanks guys! Gee, no replies!! I'd be glad to test...love flashing my phone and have back-ups in the event of problems. I don't run a bunch of applications so my results may be limited, but I won't post the ROM or scurry away never to be heard from again. Just PM me the download link and any instructions.

NO, Thank you! You guys are the ones who are hard at work so I can have 15 toggles and a 4-way reboot... LOL But really, thanks for your teams hard work and I know it will get better... This is my first time running any "Deviant" roms so I am excited to see what's to come!

I never tested for anyone but I have completed my own kernels. And im a power user when it comes to android. With knowledge on library files kernel modules of course Decompiling and recompiled. Compiling android from source. I can even make a device tree!
