Today I was looking for Galaxy Nexus car mount holder on Amazon.
I came up with this car mount holder.
http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Windsh...volution/dp/B00687N0GK/ref=zg_bs_2407763011_1
It is the best selling car mount.

Is any of you tried this?
I have Galaxy Nexus GSM. I'm wondering if it fits.
I sent an email to the customer service but I'm wondering your comments
I sent email to customer service and this is the answer that i received
Dear xxx,
I have searched on google about your phone, and it says the width is 2.67 inches wide.
Our car mount's adjustable width size is from 2" to 3.2", so it won't be a problem.
Hope this information was helpful, and if you have any other question, please feel free to email us back.
Best regards,
Christina Kim

However, I'm considering to buy the OEM Galaxy Nexus car dock.
i used a slip grip with my cased droid x and found it worked very well.
SlipGrip Galaxy Nexus Options
That looks pretty good,I used to use a $5 belt clip from ebay on my Eris, but now they only make them facing in. Thanks for the link. A bit spendy, but the best option for a case I've seen.

You're welcome.
I checked threads about car holders and I couldn't see anything about this car holder. Even though it is the most popular one in Amazon shop, it is not popular here.

Does this car mount have a clear view when using the camera? Some car mounts you can see a bit of the mount attachment

I have the iOttie mount and its just decent. I have my Gnex in an otterbox defender case and it barely is wide enough to hold it..with maybe a 1/4" to spare..
My phone vibrated and fell out some. It might be more stable if I permanently mounted it to the dash instead of putting it on the windshield.
But give it a go if you want. Its dirt cheap on amazon.

Thanks for comment. I think I will order it.
I'm willing to buy an office car dock for GNEX GSM, but I think it is still not released?

Hey guys!
Any one has any ideas for good Nexus S accessories?
At the moment I only have a set of Mugen Power batteries but I'd like to check some cases probably that will fit the phone with extended battery (+12 mm from original size).
Thanks much!!
Okis
Anyone has any ideas?
I'd say a car mount is required. I got a good universal one off of Amazon for around $15.
I also have a Gelaskins skin and a Casemate POP! case.

There aren't any cases, but I second the dock idea. Get a car dock and desktop dock, oem from Google if they make em.
I got one of each for my n1 and I loved it 3736282x more after that haha
If you are in the market for the desktop dock I noticed the local Best Buy was selling them for $19.99 when I was there last night and picked one up. May be worth checking your local stores.

Are these coming for extended batteries? Any elastic solutions?

Could anyone share a good suction cup car mount that I could use with a seidio case? A universal is fine, just want something with good quality. Doesn't need to charge but allows a car charger to plug in while mounted.
Thanks for any input.

Arkon's Mobile Grip sticky mount can be mounted to the windshield or dash, though they market it as a dash / console mount.

It will work with the GS2, I've put a Galaxy Nexus in it.
You could even use this as a desk mount if you wanted to.

its better quality than the arkon mounts ive had in the past. also, it doesnt look cheap either. i dont know why you'd be worried too much, because i dont see how you can break this if you use it properly.

i'll take a "cheap plasticy" holder THAT WORKS WELL than a fine looking pos holder anyday. i vouch for the exomount. the reason i got it was its capability to hold a device with a case in landscape mode. the last universal holder i had couldn't do that very well. it barely held a vibrant in landscape mode. that clip design is where it's at.
I received my exomount today. I love it! Not cheap plastic at all. The suction cup is awesome!
Got my exomount a couple days ago.
I surely didn't have to worry about the jaws opening enough, will certainly hold any case.
Works great.
I posted a review with a video for the exomount. Just do a search and you can see it with our phone and in a case.

I also have the exomount. Awesome mount. Holds very well to the surface and holds the phone well too even with a case (I use it with the body glove).
I use it as a tripod for recording also.
I will say that the plastic did feel cheaper than expected. I think the only place that would be an issue would be at the swiveling points. If you are adjusting your viewing position a lot I could see the plastic snapping if you accidentally use too much torque at a bad angle.
Need a Windshield or Dash mount(probably prefer windshield). I do use a slim TPU case. Anyone out there found a good one they can share?
I just bought an official Samsung vehicle mount today. It fits any Samsung phone with a 4 - 5.5 inch screen.

I got the TomTom TomTom Universal Alternative Mount from Target. I regretted it at first because it was a return item, and the person had broken it before returning it. I decided to get super glue and glue the arm to the mounting brace. I assume that an unused version would work as intended.
Now, I can record car accidents by tilting the phone on the mount...
Arkon universal mount, excellent stand and very sturdy.

I'm using the Arkon MG110, which includes a sticky dash mount, but their MG115 uses the same holder with a windshield suction cup mount. There's a spring in the back of the holder that I had to shorten to get it to open enough to fit my Nexus with the Otterbox Defender. They claim it opens to 2.81", but I'm not sure where they measure that on the curved arms of the holder.
Here's a link to their catalog: http://www.arkon.com/catalog/Arkon_2011_Catalog.pdf

I have adopted this solution and I'm able to confirm that it works very well.
I've been told that the veichle mount for the new Samsung Galaxy S III fits well the Nexus too.
Brodit vehicle specific mount + the Brodit passive holder for iPhone 3GS with case.
The holder's adjustable across a wide range and it's the only one I could find that would fit a Galaxy Nexus + any case.
I've used this Arkon Mobile grip mount when I had a car (got a motorcycle) and now my girlfriend uses it in here Scion with her GS3. It's only $18.

This particular holder will fit a typical TPU case, they have larger holders that will fit bigger cases like the Otterbox Defender.
I have scoshe universal mount bought off wal mart its compact with some soft touch for not scratching the device and the lock is solid

How thick are the adhesive plates protruding from the case? can you post a pic?
Its about 5 sheets of copier paper. Very thin. A lot thinner than a credit card.

I've been using the iOttie one touch mount. There's a newer one that just came out called the Easy Flex 2 but I've been using the original one called Easy One Touch. Best car mount I've used. There's a button on the dock plate that when pushed in the 2 arms grab onto the phone and it's pretty secure. To remove it just squeeze the 2 buttons on the side of the mount and the arms open up and the phone pops out.
It's not a powered dock so you have to plug in your adapter straight into the phone. Most times if my phone is fully charged I don't plug it in and it's a very clean look.
I keep an NFC sticker by the dock to turn on GPS and car mode so with this mount everything is just so quick. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions.

I just bought this too, haven't got it yet, but it looks like a nice mount for sure.

I found a cheaper version of the clingo mount http://dx.com/p/long-tube-car-stand-holder-for-iphone-samsung-htc-blackberry-black-156661 and ordered it to give it a try. Hopefully it'll be as sticky as the original and works with any case with smooth surface.
Can anyone recommend a good car mount?
I just bought some cheesy magnetic thing from Amazon. Will be returning ASAP. Ideally, I think I'm looking for something that can clip into either the air vents or on the dash of my car. I realized there probably aren't many pixel specific accessories made yet, but maybe someone has had good success with a different model for an earlier phone?
Anyway just wondering what you all were planning on using.
I've been using a good magnetic mount for the CD slot in my car since the Nexus 5 days. I like the Koomus brand of them from Amazon.

I've had the third generation iOttie car mount for about a year, and it is excellent. It doesn't have a vent clip, but its suction cup mount is very sturdy. It even comes with a little pad you can use if your dash is textured.
I second the ProClip. You can get a custom mount for your vehicle, and select a separate holder. I've got a custom mount and a universal holder that can be adjusted if you switch phones.
I second the recommendations for iOttie mounts. I bought their wireless charging one back when I got my Galaxy S6, but I still use it with my Pixels because it is incredibly convenient to secure and remove the device. Excellent quality, usability, and adjustability, well worth the purchase.

Looks like a solid product! I have an '09 Kia Spectra and the dash doesn't look like an easy place to put a phone mount. I checked out their custom mount for my car and the only drawback I can see is it completely covers a vent (for a/c) which may or may not be an issues, I won't know until mounted but.. Any experience with that for you?
Yea on my prior vehicle I had it cover the vent. It was out far enough so it still put out air but it wasn't really directional as far as flow as before. Center ones I didn't care as much about being pointed at me to keep cool. It was a solid bracket though

I have an existing car mount for my S7 before I got the XL, it holds the phone in landscape and squeezes the sides. Little concerned that this may not be good for the squeeze sensors. Anyone think it could affect the sensors over time?

Another vote for Proclip's mounting solution. The universal large holder works fine with my Pixel 2 XL with a (Caseology Parallax) case. It's pricey but it works beautifully.
I just ordered the IOAuto magnet holder to use with Proclip's mounting bracket. I'm tired of sliding my phone into the holder. 1st world problems, I know.

I bought the IOAuto Pro. It attaches to the vehicle mount that I purchased previously from Proclip. It comes with small circular metal disks that should be attached to your phone.
I hate the thought of using adhesive to stick anything on my phone so I'm going to try and place the disk between the phone and my TPU case. In think the magnet will still work fine.
Check out YouTube. I've seen a couple of videos of others installing it.

I like this simple magnetic holder:
Techmatte MagGrip Orbit Universal Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount Holder
It requires a thin metal plate which works fine if you use a TPU case or other case that's not too thick on the back; this way, it doesn't require any permanent application. I bought 3 for family members, and a friend got one after seeing mine. It's easy to mount, secure, very simple in design - it uses a steel ball that mounts to an air vent, and a magnetic piece that connects to the ball, giving easy adjustment in all directions, or complete removal. This magnetic piece connects to the phone's steel plate. My wife has an iphone 6P which works well; I have a nexus 5X.

I'm curious to see if that works out for you. I'm intrigued, but it seems like $50 is a bit steep for that mount. If it works well for you with a case, I may consider it though.
I know my solution isn't going to be for everyone, but it works well for my needs. I have a hybrid Proclip/Ram Mount solution. Proclip for the center dash mount, then Ram Mounts for the rest (ball, short arm, and X Grip holder). It's more involved than the common solutions, but it puts my phone right whereIi want it and it's rock solid--which is important for those track days.
As mentioned upthread, this does partially block the vent, but on my Mustang not by too much, and the passenger still gets air flow when it's directed their way. A bonus is the phone stays nice & cool when staying on playing podcasts while commuting, or running the telemetry apps while on track.
I can strongly recommend this one. They're a little pricey but I have them in my truck, car, 4-wheeler and mountain bike. Just the spring clips are strong and when you add the rubber sling it'll hold on to the phone almost no matter what. This one actually fits my P2XL better than my PXL. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0066BWMNU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
