Mozilla Boot-To-Gecko - About xda-developers.com

Mozilla's new operating system will be here soon, so it would be good to have a category for it on XDA

[Q] Coding question about market updates

Hello everyone, I'm VERY new to coding and developing for Android. I do plan on learning javascript all the way through so I can contribute more to the community.
But for right now I've been making GO Launcher EX themes in a program that compiles the code for you so I've just been adding the images pretty much. But to push market updates you have to add something to the code; what would I need in order to change the code?
Thanks for all your help, and sorry for the n00b question! D:

Is the Skydroid project still on development or dead. It would be a nice port if it gets done

Thanks for letting us know about this project. This question would be better on that link.

I saw the apps they have currently. The email is decent. I prefer regular android dialer apps though (T9) and the ICS people app seems nicer.
If you want a nice WP7 launcher, check out Launcher7. Best WP launcher I've seen so far. It even has an optional page (3 pages) for android widgets.

[APP][LAUNCHER] Pure Breeze

A new user interface from Samsung, termed Pure Breeze UI has been released and Android users, especially those that are intent on keeping their phone screens neat and organized should go and try it! Samsung has said that the main focus of this user interface will be proper organization of the widgets and more streamlined application managing.
available in both free and paid versions
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.smcl.spblauncherlite&hl=en
The Lite version is free and has the same features as the full version, but with some limitations on the number of items you can organize. You can easily switch between Pure Breeze and your default home screen by a simple change in the Settings application.
Enjoy Pure Breeze, and get simply organized!

The reviews on the Play Store don't look too promising... I tend to trust the reviews as well as Android users tend to be fairly honest when it comes to reviewing apps. It doesn't look like it was updated recently either??
Says 31st July.

[q] u b u n t u???

Will Ubuntu for Phones be possible for our gio? MMB is nicely working on FirefoxOS, but I want to try Ubuntu too, its especially made to run with android drivers and kernel. Its excually a modded CM10.1 without dalvik. But the downside is, its requires a additonal flash from 400mb (talking about port to s3), and thats to big for our Gio. Do you think someone will make it possible?
nathan-96
should be possible, but I dont have interest in it currently, because the system is still growing and there aren't many apps for it, and gio doesnt have dual boot.

Ubuntu touch looks really nice. Mozilla os looks not good and it's an (bad?) android copy... good article on cnet where they compare mozilla os, ubuntu touch and Samsung's Tizen.

yes, but also be great to have the ability to install another OS besides our Movable android, do not you think?
firefox OS besides is more optimized for low-end devices and small screen, but everything depends on what developers tell us
I'm not a developer, but Firefox OS is supposed to work on ARMv6, so I think it's possible to port it to Pecan...
It‘s possible but we are weating for first alpha by devrloper of xda
