Which toggle widget are you using? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Is it true now that there is no app compatible with ICS that can allow a single tap to:
ON/OFF GPS
ON/OFF 2G/3G
etc etc?
I'm using Extended Controls but it all brings me to the Option Menu only.
Any recommendations?

Widgetsoid and Elixir2 will do this.

Ah cool. So means it can be done. Wonder why those apps like Extended Controls doesn't want to update to ICS.
Thanks will try Widgetsoid2.x.

not sure. I know that for most toggles in Widgetsoid, you choose whether you want it to open the settings menu, or just toggle the setting.
I'm using Elixir2 for notifications drop-down toggles. Don't personally use 2g/3g though.

give the man a tap on the thank u button would ya?

Wait. Widgetsoid2.x doesn't toggle 2g/3g and gps too. brings me to the option menu only.

Oh I notice Elxir cannot toggle too. I guess it's Android after all.

Beautiful Toggle with Beautiful Widgets has the 3G/4G/2G widget.
Edit: It says for wimax only with the 4G thing.

Yeah looking for an all-in-one app to perform the toggle features.

Oh, hm... Data on/off toggle works. And it lets you add GPS toggle, but the GPS toggle doesn't work... GPS toggle works on Widgetsoid and the stock toggle widget though... That's weird.

I want the data to be on always. Just that I want to be on 2G network not 3G.

Yeah. So apparently no app can achieve that now.

Flash a custom ROM. I believe AOKP can do it, as the UI runs as a system app.

u are breaking the #1 CM rule by asking this! lol
but yea, i dont think there is a toggle out there for 2G/4G yet for ics... however AOKP has a power saver feature where if u turn off the screen, it can either turn data off or turn it to 2G....not what you're looking for, but its the closest thing (for now)

Hehe oops! So what's the next best ROM for now?

OK, I've been struggling with this for a couple of months so let me get this straight... Elixir will toggle data on one click but not GPS, and widgetsoid will toggle GPS on one click but not data??
Is there no all-in-one solution to get both of these things? I settled on Elixir because the data toggle is important to me, but I'd really like a single package to accomplish both these things. Can't these devs compare notes?? C'mon guys, take advantage of the synergies!

Need help finding a widget!

I am currently looking for widget similar to htc's mobile network but one that i can run on LauncherPro. I need a toggle for my internet, I have tried just about all of them but without any sucess. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
JuiceDefender.
You can make the settings "Data always enabled" and then just toggle from the widget.
Change to a cm Rom. that option is built in to the power toggle widget.

[Q] Notification Toggles mod possible on One X?

I'm planning on moving from a Samsung Captivate to the One X whenever it decides to come out in the US, and the only thing I think I'll miss are Samsung's toggles in the notification shade (things like wifi, gps, blutooth, etc).
Is there a mod already available for HTC products/One X that can add this? I know there are some market solutions (a la Widgetsoid) but they, well, kinda suck. Would it even be possible to add this with Sense 4.0? Thanks!
I use SwitchPro. It lets you make a toggle widget and the ability to add it to the notification bar as well (dropdown)

Do either of those programs toggle settings by touching the icons in the notification shade? Or do they both just open a new window where I toggle the settings? Thanks so much!

Best thing so far?
+ More speed, less lag. The new animations & rendering makes the phone feel noticeably smoother when launching apps or when the phone orientation changes.
+ The bug when syncing/uploading pictures from the gallery to Picasa is finally fixed.
+ Stock keyboard is once again improved. I sill use Swype, but I haven't installed SwiftKey because the stock keyboard does a very good job in text prediction.
+ Google Now. I find the search bar to be a lot more useful than it was in ICS. I even changed the setting in Nova Launcher to always enabled for the persistent search bar.
Only bad things thus far
- Facebook contact syncing is still crippled. I just use Friendcaster.
- Several apps I relied on when using ICS constantly crash, most noticeably Apex Launcher.
I'm on the fence with new notification tray. I can't find a setting or way to control what notifications are expanded or collapsed.

Touchwiz Flashlight - Ugly Widget

The stock Touchwiz Assist Light (flashlight) widget is huge and hideous. I'd like to use the stock flashlight app but is there a custom widget that someone has/can make that we can load? Modern, small, simple is what I'm looking for.

Its not included on stock roms, you need a custom rom with the 15 toggle quick panel. Like this from Josh beach, it can be found in the development thread.

I think if you use this one you shouldn't keep it on for a long period. I'm pretty sure they lower the brightness on the stock so you don't burn out the LED.
You can also use LED Light, it's 1x1 and has a fast response.

Mobile Data Toggle????

Hello all and good day. I wanted to ask this question on in the thread for the ROM I'm using but it said I could not. I am using the GUMMY M.1 ROM, 4.4.2, and would like to know how to add the 3G/Mobile Data quick toggle. I was able to add it in other ROMs using SQLite Editor but the same method on this ROM does not work. I just wanted to make sure I'm doing this correctly, or if there is more to it being on an AOSP 4.4.2 ROM. Thank you and any feedback will be appreciated.
Thank you for moving to the correct place. Now,....anyone have any suggestions or info?
Anything good folks of XDA?
widget and pulldown
Are you looking for the toggle that shows up on the notification pulldown or as a widget on your launcher?
If you're looking for one that shows up on the pulldown, you may be out of luck on a Samsung/Touchwiz rom, but most AOSP/CM based roms have a customization screen where you can pick exactly what toggles you want.
If you're looking for a widget to put on your launcher, there's a number of good ones that I've used. For just mobile data, "Data Enable Widget" by "FARPROC" is a good one, but for my Note2 running a Touchwiz based rom (which lacks a general "power" widget), I'm using "Powerful Control" (also by "FARPROC"). Both are available for free on the Android Market.
Best of luck.

Thank you very much. I am looking for one on the pull down. I had to add the 3G/MobiIe Data quick setting toggle using SQLite Editor on other ROMs. Though the method is the same, the options and or names to do so within the system are a little different on this AOSP ROM. I have a widget that works fine for the data toggle but hate having to come out of some apps to go to that widget when I could use the pull down and toggle the data.

Yes, very true. There is no option for a 3G/Data quick toggle though. An LTE one but it does not turn on or off. Plus the 4G/LTE is so spotty and weak here, I set the phone to use 3G.
There is an icon that looks like your signal bar and will have an x above it when data is off and say sprint when data is on. That is the toggle.

Thank you. According to the screen shot on the OP for the ROM, the toggle I want is like you mentioned, signal bars with a 3G above it but,......I don't have that option according the to ones listed to choose from in the toggle setup menu. Do you know the name of that toggle? I've tried 3G, MobileDate, Data, and MOBILEDATA in SQLite Editor but there isn't a toggle added?
