Hello all and good day. I wanted to ask this question on in the thread for the ROM I'm using but it said I could not. I am using the GUMMY M.1 ROM, 4.4.2, and would like to know how to add the 3G/Mobile Data quick toggle. I was able to add it in other ROMs using SQLite Editor but the same method on this ROM does not work. I just wanted to make sure I'm doing this correctly, or if there is more to it being on an AOSP 4.4.2 ROM. Thank you and any feedback will be appreciated.
Thank you for moving to the correct place. Now,....anyone have any suggestions or info?
Anything good folks of XDA?
widget and pulldown
Are you looking for the toggle that shows up on the notification pulldown or as a widget on your launcher?
If you're looking for one that shows up on the pulldown, you may be out of luck on a Samsung/Touchwiz rom, but most AOSP/CM based roms have a customization screen where you can pick exactly what toggles you want.
If you're looking for a widget to put on your launcher, there's a number of good ones that I've used. For just mobile data, "Data Enable Widget" by "FARPROC" is a good one, but for my Note2 running a Touchwiz based rom (which lacks a general "power" widget), I'm using "Powerful Control" (also by "FARPROC"). Both are available for free on the Android Market.
Best of luck.

Thank you very much. I am looking for one on the pull down. I had to add the 3G/MobiIe Data quick setting toggle using SQLite Editor on other ROMs. Though the method is the same, the options and or names to do so within the system are a little different on this AOSP ROM. I have a widget that works fine for the data toggle but hate having to come out of some apps to go to that widget when I could use the pull down and toggle the data.

Most 4.4 roms allow you to add/change/arrange toggles in the settings menu. What rom are you using?

Under system settings --- gummy interface you will find settings to add/remove/arrange your toggles. Not on it atm so cant give you exact instructions.
Almost every aosp 4.4 rom has the option to do this.

Yes, very true. There is no option for a 3G/Data quick toggle though. An LTE one but it does not turn on or off. Plus the 4G/LTE is so spotty and weak here, I set the phone to use 3G.
There is an icon that looks like your signal bar and will have an x above it when data is off and say sprint when data is on. That is the toggle.

Thank you. According to the screen shot on the OP for the ROM, the toggle I want is like you mentioned, signal bars with a 3G above it but,......I don't have that option according the to ones listed to choose from in the toggle setup menu. Do you know the name of that toggle? I've tried 3G, MobileDate, Data, and MOBILEDATA in SQLite Editor but there isn't a toggle added?

Hi all
Is there a quick toggle mod for the notification drop down menu like found on stock TouchWiz and Sense devices? Not looking for widgets on the "desktop"
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
You can try Widgetsoid in the Market. It will allow you to place themed toggles in the notification area without a widget. Just make sure you select "hide widgets".
That could work, however, I was looking more for a hard mod that could be flashed in there, like in past devices that I've used that didn't feature this by default (back in the Sense 2.1 days).
Like this? Its available on this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383210

I haven't seen a separate mod. You can always ask the rom developer to make a flashable zip for you.

Yes, as long as the major toggles are all there (wifi, bt, gps, etc...) that is exactly it. Of course, on Touch Wiz, it's just one horizontal line of toggles (like the widget on the Nexus), and that is the cleanest. On sense 3.0, it's a vertical list of toggles.

I tried turning on the notification toggle in widgetsoid, it doesn't even show up for me.
Also, seeing how the music player can have different buttons in the same row, I don't see why it can't be possible for other apps to use this functionality too.
Edit: Widgetsoid works perfectly, almost exactly the same as the CM toggle bar (sans the side scrolling)
Someone should be able to make a new app for ics,
you can add buttons in the dropdown now so it should be possible with out a custom rom or even root
Is this what you are looking for?

"With this app, you can place different toggles into your Android status/notification bar for quick access without having a dozen toggle-widgets on your homescreens
You can choose which toggles to display in the settings of the app. You can also choose to combine different toggles into one "all in one" notification.
Unfortunately, on most devices you can only define one action per notification, so on these it will show a small dialog with the available toggles when clicking on the "all in one" notification. But some devices (seems like all devices with HTC Sense ROM) can distinguish where in the notification you clicked and on these you don't have to see the dialog.
The app is for free in the Android market, would be nice to get some feedback"
Hey everyone,
I'm running Omega 6.1 on my Note 2 (n7100) and I love it. The only thing that bugs me a bit and can't seem to figure a way around it is the shortcuts in the notification bar. Is there a way to remove some of them that I never use (like the timeout or sync button) or move other buttons to the far left for immediate use (like the sound/vibrate function).
Anyone have any ideas?

If you are using Omega rom you should have an app called AdvanceS.
Thanks for your help
I am using the stock rom, and I cannot adjust this panel as I want.
On my previous phone (nexus s) I used widgetoid app and it was great.
Here instead of remove this panel which seems impossible, I would like to adjust it.
Is it possible without installing another room?
Other then what you can do in setting there not much you can do. You can try to find the 25 toggle mod and flash it to your phone. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how well rit works on a stock room or how easy it is to add to a stock rom as I have had problems in the past with a mod not working for my phone
Sent from my SGH-I317M using xda app-developers app
I've finally installed the omega ROM, looks great, & I've found the "advanceS" apps, much more flexible than the Rom Stock.
But there is a way to add other toggles? (I like to see the RAM used, & the free space...)
Thanks
Nicolas
I'm trying to find a widget that will do the *#*#4636#*#* so I can toggle data settings. Not having any luck finding something that works. Does anyone have one they'd recommend?

Do you use other launcher? Like nova or something similar.
Then you can make a shortcut .
Shortcut - activities- in that list choose settings-phone info/radio info.
And with launcher you can choose an icon you like.
That's how I do it. one tap take me into radio menu.

Hey all, it's my understanding that Halo and PIE are built to work on AOSP based roms. I would love to go back to the stability and bonus features of sense, but having to have the menu button eyesore at the bottom of most apps is a deal-breaker. Is there any possibility of getting these addons working on a sense based rom? If not, are there any apps with similar features that can be used with sense?
I would also like to add a torch option on the quick settings menu if that could be done. I realize I can download a flashlight app, but I have been spoiled with having quick access to it on iOS 7 and AOSP.
Flash bonestock. It has a torch toggle, and also go to settings, display, and check "longpress home for menu"

Floating Notifications is an app that is as close as you can get to Halo. There is a free trial period for about 30 days.
As far as pie control, I think there is a launcher called LMT Launcher in the play store that has a pie-like fixture.

LMT launcher works, but it's not in the play store. it's on XDA though. just search for it.
pie control (which is in the play store) works as well, just not as neat as LMT.
sometimes, though, with LMT, it takes a few tries to get an app to start. it's annoying. if pie control showed the time and other notifications like LMT does, it'd be so much better.
Both of these look good. Do they allow you to disable the stock menu button?

there are no 3 dots on bottom of screen on my ROM.
technically yes, they can be ported, for example IHTFP69 ported HALO to TW on Samsung. No one said it could be done, he is a genius.

I am loving the rom so far, but I have two questions. The menu bar is gone almost everywhere, but it's still present in dolphin browser. Is there any way to fix that? It doesn't show at all on AOSP. LMT launcher is every bit as good as pie and the menu button being there prevents it from working properly.
I also don't seem to have a torch/flashlight widget in the quick settings. There is an app though which I can make work for me if there's no way to get it in quick settings. Just a minor personal preference.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I got the menu bar removed by changing a setting under display and gestures. It has the unfortunate side effect of making a long press on the home key open the menu as well, but it's still better than the always-present menu button.

Yes you can do that, the way to do it is you click either one of the two little icons
on the top right side of the screen, one of them allows you to reorder toggles, and
the other one allows you to actually enable/disable any of the toggles.
There is no need to use gravity, wanam or anything else.
Good luck!
Thanks. That worked. I don't know why I thought that you needed a program/root for such a basic thing...
