I'm looking for a good car mount for Arc.
Can anyone recommend or give a link?
I tried ebay but you know any better ones?
For sure Carcomm and Brodit are the best. I asked them when they would be available. No clear answer they are working on the development.
BR
these are actually better than they look
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....94602&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1628wt_1139
the sides are in two halves and slide apart meaning you can configure it how you like. It has foldaway bottom rests and turns 360 so you can have the phone landscape or portrait. Its actually one of the best ive had in a few years and most certainly the cheapest
Hi,
a good car mount for Arc maybe is Tetrax: (www . tetrax . com)
The problem is that you must paste a metal circle on the backcover
But is the best solution because you can touch and rotate the "Arc" in every position.
I recently thought about
http://www.amazon.de/dp/B002OLL9BC/...eative=6742&camp=1638&creativeASIN=B002OLL9BC
or
http://www.amazon.de/q1-Autohalteru...=sr_1_1?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1304165356&sr=1-1
And I wondered if one of those would be any good...
I recently got this one:
cgi.ebay.com/Windscreen-Car-Mount-Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-Arc-/130502621883?pt=UK_Holders_Mounts&hash=item1e628ffabb
I must say it fits my Arc perfetly!

Can't tell, if it's thin enough... I'm waiting for a skin cover, and I will report if it fits when I get it.
I use this one and is very good compared to the price

I like that too.. but I want to know if the phone still fit if you have a skin case on the phone. Because the mount looks like a perfect fit on the phone it self.
I got one of these for my HTC Touch HD and it works just as well for my Arc. The width is adjustable to it can clamp the phone snuggly. And it has additional legs as support that rest against the dashboard. Worked great until I got my new company car. It has stupid modern weird shaped vents that it doesn't hook onto. Not without getting in the way of the indicator stalk anyway.
Should work fine for most cars with normal air vents though.

Brodit just released a passive and active support (http://www.brodit.com/?lang=E). See links at The bottom of brodit webpage.

The mount is some type of hard rubber, so it is possible to let it hold an arc with a skin case. It is usable, but can't say it's a perfect fit ;-)

Brodit mounts
I've just checked Holder and Mounts and Brodit mounts are listed and seems to be available to buy in the UK.
The Brodit ones are good but you need first the clip for you car only and then buy the holder for the phone.
I used mostly the pasive holder and if you put in landscape and you take a sharp turn your phone can be flying (HTC diamond2). With my Nokia E65 back then the passive holder seem to be very fit so I had to put in hard and you could get some scratches on the sides ...
I think the active holder seems a better fit and keep your phone safe in landscape, but dont know for sure it seems better attached but also more expensive.
Just my two cents but overall I think Brodit doing a good job but when you buying new phones all the time it can get expensive too if you have to replace the holder everytime.
Now that I have a snap on case for the arc
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13764860&postcount=71
Challenge now is will this car mount fit with this snap on case before i place the order. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&clk_rvr_id=232032065754
Anyone who has this car mount [link above] can you show a pic with a silicon case or any case on the phone with the car mount? thanks.
I got the active one from Brodit, and I can tell you, that it is excellent
Unfortunately Brodit mounts are not suitable for SE Arc with case of any sort.
I use this one by Nokia. Fits PERFECTLY, SECURELY and best part of it is that it is tiny and refined compared to the rest of the eBay ones which is huge and ugly
Been using it since Nokia E71, E72, HTC Legend and surprisingly, it fits the Arc the best

Okay, so I'm wondering if this exists: a book style case for the Galaxy Tab that doesn't add a lot of bulk, but does fold over to allow it to be used as a stand.
I have a GTab 10.1 LTE, and a XOOM 4G, and I'm trying to decide which to keep. I prefer the size and weight of the Galaxy Tab, but the XOOM came with a really great case that doubles as a stand. The Galaxy Tab came with something similar, but it's so thick and sloppy that I might as well be carrying the XOOM for all the weight savings I actually get. Is there anything equivalent for the Galaxy Tab that doesn't make it chunky?

Fits the LTE model, is pretty slim, and makes a nice stand.
Yeha, go for the official one. A wonderful case - Adds almost no bulk, fits perfectly and its very high quality. I love mine, and it was worth every cent.

I'm using the same original case from Samsung, my tab is white and here comes the problem. The internal lining for the case causes black color on the back of my tab which is very hard to remove. I use my original perfume with high quality cloth and pushes very hard to remove this coloration from the stupid case.

I use this case, its some fake leathery material, holds the tab very nice and tight, everything fits perfectly, and its pretty slim for the material its is
Closes with a magnet, which is unfindable on the cover xD
and it can be used as a stand, very nice. and cheap!

+1 on this case. Best one on the market. Its a generic branded by several sellers, so you might search to find it a bit cheaper.
I'm using a "smart cover" style case. not really versatile or transformable, but i do like the one posted above. looks like a great stand for desk/table use. i might have to order that

I've done a lot of research on armbands for the Epic 4G Touch for a while now, so I think I can provide quality info here.
If you ordered the Arkon armband, I hope you ordered the "XXL Armband" (the one with the green tag) because the other models are a bit too small for the E4GT. The Arkon XXL Armand fits the E4GT almost perfectly. I don't recommend using any type of case. I used the armband with the super thin Diztronic matte black TPU case on the phone once and I wasn't sure I would be able to get it out. Fortunately I did, after a good amount of wiggling and pressure. There is a small inner-pocket slit for if you want to carry I.D. or a single key with you, but even then it kind of makes the armband tight for your phone. I personally would prefer it if it had more room. In regard to having access to the E4GT screen, you're able to use the screen with the phone in the armband without much effort at all, although I don't see myself doing that much since its not very practical, it'll be on my arm most of the time. An improvement I would like to see is to the band part of the armband. It wraps around your arm fine and is quite stretchy, but the problem is that there isn't much of a trim or buffer between the edge of the band and the velcro so when you wrap the band around your arm you have to be sure the band is spot on and lined up or else you'll have velcro rubbing up against your arm. And that can be uncomfortable as you can probably imagine. I should also say that I feel the armband doesn't give the phone enough damage protection if anything should hit it while on my arm as the armband's phone casing is rather thin. If you're interested in buying it, I would recommend buying it from Walmart.com because of the return policy. If you don't like it, you can just return it (which is what I plan on doing, keep reading to know why.) You can also get it shipped fast to your local Walmart or Fedex Kinko's store free of charge (which I did). It arrived on the 2nd business day for me.

There are also generic armbands on eBay that you can buy for about $2.59 and up. I wouldn't recommend a majority of them since they dont really fit the E4GT too well with the seams bulging and the top sticking out, and some don't fit it at all. Workmanship is usually lacking as well. I did find, and like, one specific type of armband on eBay that I prefer over the Arkon XXL armband. It's nothing like the XXL armband in that you cannot access the E4GT screen while it being in the armband, its smaller than the XXL armband, it has a velcro strap that "locks" the phone in place, it has a good sized zippered pocket, and it's strap I feel is more comfortable than the Arkon XXL. There is a good buffer zone between the strap and the velcro so the velcro doesn't rub up against your arm. I also do not recommend using a case on your phone when putting it in this armband, it doesn't really fit. The phone itself fits very snug in the armband, and at first glance I noticed that the top flap to secure the phone is too short. But the flap stretches, and with the right amound of pressure, it can get to be at about the 1/3 or 1/2 mark on the velco tab, which is more than enough in my opinion since the phone is already well in there. I would assume it will stretch more upon further use. I've only recently gotten it. Also, if you have massive guns, you may want to get an armband extender. The band itself doesn't stretch as much as the Arkon XXL armband, which is a good thing. I found that I experienced less downward slippage with this armband than the Arkon XXL. It's workmanship is surprisingly good, considering I bought it for only $2.86 + free shipping from Hong Kong. Shipping took about a week and a half. I personally prefer this armband over the Arkon XXL Armband.

The only other armband I would consider purchasing is the Tune Belt armband, only either model number AB85 or AB86. I haven't purchased either one but I've seen a video on the AB85 with the E4GT on youtube and it looks good. I've posted links below. In the link where the Galaxy Note is put into a Tune Belt armband, I don't know if it is the AB85 model or the AB86 as he does not specify nor does he reply to comments or personal messages about it as of yet. Also I don't know much about the AB86 but Tune Belt advertises it as being for the Galaxy Nexus and other massive phones.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there had any recommendations on a car mount that works with the Ballistic SG Maxx case?
I really like the way the car mount in this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1806888 thread. Unfortunately it looks like it is only made to fit the phone without a case.
Anyone have any recommendations for me for a good mount with this case?
Thank you,

I used a Galaxy S (Captivate) & hard Body Glove case w/ detachable beltclip so the nub the clip mounted to increased the maximum thickness of the case to about 1" with the Akron Mega Grip model. The sides are spring loaded so as long as the Ballistic can get a little support from the bottom clips (i.e. so it isn't just the side grips holding the phone) it should work. Thickness of the Ballistic needs to be around 1". Looking at the Ballistic online I think it would work, if you buy it from Amazon you should be able to return it if it doesn't.
RE: Using Ballistic SG Maxx. Need a car mount
I recently upgraded to the Galaxy S3 and not long after my Garmin Nuvi 205 quit working. I had just purchased a new window mount for the Nuvi. I started using the Galaxy for navigation and wished I too, had a car mount. I noticed the Nuvi and the SG-Maxx case had similar slots on the edges and upon further investigation found them to be very close to the same size. I had to remove a small amount of plastic from the Nuvi car-mount to get it to work better, but this was easily done with a sharp utility knife (As you can see in the photo). This replacement Nuvi Car mount was less than $6 online: I have used it for over 3 months now and it has worked well for me.

I did the same thing! A review on Amazon said that they used a mount for a Garmin Nuvi 255W and it worked well, so I bought a mount on eBay for $6 (plus another $6 for shipping). It fits the slots perfectly without cutting. The only thing I would say is that it's a bit tight right now. However, it's very sturdy and works great. I have a USB cord tied around it so that I can charge the phone too.
BTW, the Ballistic SG MAXX black & white case looks GREAT on the white Galaxy S III. I can only find pictures of the B&W case on the pebble blue for some reason. I wanted to post pics, but they were pretty blurry (need more light).
Are there any good ones out?
My biggest issue is that I don't use a lock screen, so to change a track I have to be able to pull down notifications and use those controls.
Did you come up with a solution?

I did not, have only been running on treadmills due to this problem.
Also makes lifting weights a pain.

Are you asking about music? Or about devices like JawBoneUP/Nike FuelBand?
I'm asking about arm bands to keep your phone attached to your person and not too far away so that headphones get ripped out.
Ah ok...
I bought a holster/case combo from Verizon that I use daily for exercise. I tried an armband, but this Maxx is huge, so I opted for the holster.
I use this armband which I had for a previous phone and it works well. It is called "Verizon Motorola Droid X MB810 New Sports Armband Pouch" and pretty cheap on eBay.
Pictures of my Droid Maxx in the armband
EDIT.... I don't have enough posts to post pics I guess. Here's an album link.... imgur (DOT) com/a/VeCdz
I carry my phone in my pocket rather than on my arm (and just run the headphone cord inside my shirt to prevent it from being snagged), but I did see this case on androidcentral.com: http://www.shopandroid.com/armpocket-xtreme-i-30/4AA10642.htm
running Exercise arm band
Hi well guys I also found these arm bands...may be you will find one of them good one for you....both are not much expensive and even available for free shipping too...so you can just check out them
1. Body Glove Armband - Black
2. Belkin EaseFit Plus Armband - Lime
I ordered one of these for $4 shipped!

It's says it's for the Galaxy S3, which is within a couple millimeters of this phone in all dimensions.
As someone who doesn't exercise much outside, what is the purpose of an armband? When you're running you can't really use the phones display. You could use long press actions on volume keys I suppose. Why wouldn't you want to just clip it in a Otterbox defender holster on your waist?
Does it bounce around too much?
Does an armband displace weight of the phone better?

Well, here is my opinion...
For one thing, if you have a short headphone cord, having the device as close to your head as possible is useful. Anything that weighs as much as the Maxx will bounce uncomfortable if it's in a clip on your waistband. I generally wear soccer shorts when I run, with the phone in my pocket. The Maxx without a case is just light enough that it will not bounce around. When you put an Otterbox Commuter on it bounces around in the pocket like crazy. I'd imagine that the Defender would be much worse. And running with something on your waist makes it more likely that you'll catch the earphones with your hand/arm while you are running, which can be very bad for the headphones, the jack, or the phone (though you can fix this by running the cord inside your shirt. If you run shirtless, not so much.)
Strapped to your arm? Much more comfortable, plus it's easy to do things like hit the volume buttons with your other hand while you run. And you can let the headphone cord sit behind your back rather than on your side, making it less likely that you'll catch it with your arm.
Here is the armband I bought for my Maxx from Amazon; fits perfectly with my TPU case on it! I run outside with it all the time.
I use the flip belt and have enjoyed it for running and lifting. I got mine almost a year ago now and think it cost around 30$. It holds not only phones/mp3 bit ID cards and keys. Yes if you put too much in then you might get some bounce while running, but this has been the best option I've found for running.
