According to the unrevoked Wiki, your baseband version isn't supported.
Code:
HTC EVO 4G, running radio baseband versions:
1.36.00.04.02
1.39.00.04.26
2.05.00.06.10
2.15.00.07.21
2.15.00.07.28
2.15.00.09.01
2.15.00.11.19
So, you need to flash a PC36IMG/RUU of a version that IS supported. Of course, you will lose your custom recovery, but unrevoked3 will take care of that for you. And I recommend using Amon_RA v2.3 and ditching CWM.

Whoops, didn't look past the first couple numbers..sorry

[Q] HELP: Need to Unroot to Stock I have HBoot 0.93 Any help greatly appreciated!

I have EVT2-3 SHIP - S-OFF
HBOOT 0.93.0000
Radio 2.15.00.11.19
PRI 1.90_003
I gotta go back to stock and take it in for warranty I've been having terrible problems with my Evo restarting constantly, screen not coming on, freezing up. I've flashed many roms and gone back to roms i used before that have been stable and same problems persist.
I heard u have to go back to HBoot 0.76 but im unsure which one to download and how to get back rooted with the stock rom for warranty purpose.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone for the help.
Go HERE and download one of the roms with radio 3.29, preferrably the .exe that can be run via a Windows PC. That *should* take care of you.

Try this RUU
Its the latest official from Sprint so it cant be rooted.
You can also just flash any stock rom and kernel, unless they try to go into recovery they wont have any way of knowing your rooted.

Ok thanks finally got it, Did the unrevoked got S-ON flashed it and got back to stock. Does it matter that it still shows HBOOT 0.93.0000? Do I need it to show 0.76?

Rooted with new radio version?

I am in need if some help. My EVO is rooted with unrevoked (not sure what OLDER version) it also has MikFroyo v4.2 Baseband version 1.39.00.05.31 Kernel 2.6.32.17 - gee557fd
htc-kernel (at) and 18-2 # 15 Software Number 3.70.651.1
I was wanting to put the newest versions of Unrevoked and MikFroyo, tried running the Unrevoked v3.32 and it said unsupported radio version. Is there any way to fix this problem since the phone still has root? I bought the phone and it came with this on it already. It also has a custom boot screen I would like to change or put back to stock. thanks
pleeeeeeeeeeese?
You don't need to run unrevoked again if you're already rooted. Just backup, wipe, and flash the rom
We're comin from a pure power source.

Help!!! Any way to downgrade radio from 2.15 to 2.05

First let me apologize if this has been answered before, but I could not find my specific question nor answer.
I am on baseband 2.15 and am trying to downgrade to 2.05. When I try to flash the radio in zip format, I get an error stating that my os is to new and that everything after 1.5 will not be able to flash this specific radio. This is not the same as downgrading from 2.15.x.x to a lower 2.15x.x. So please don't point me to this type of example.
Does anyone know, step by step, how to get this done?
Thank you in advance.
Edit: hboot 0.97

Newer versions of the stock ROM may not work well or at all with older radios.
You may need to rollback to 2.2 to use the older 2.xx radios. 2.05.00.06.10 came out with the 2.2 froyo rollout. The newer gingersense ROMs probably can't be used with such an old radio.
Why do you need to roll back to 2.05 anyway?

Need to get my radio to a point where the nvm is writable.
Edit: update, got the radio to downgrade by using rom manager with clockwork recovery 2.5.0.7 and flashed radio update.zip
It was an amend error. An old version of Clockwork - as you did - or Amon Ra would be needed to flash it. Next time you flash radios (or anything that gives you that error) you'll either have to find an edify version or downgrade/switch recovery again.

[Q] Best way to root from 2.2

Bought a used EVO and this is what it has:
hboot 2.10.0001
radio 2.15.00.07.28
android 2.2
build 3.26.651.6
pri 1.90_003
prl 01115
All the root methods are labeled as defunct for 2.2 in the wiki. Suggestions/links?
If I'm not mistaken you should be able to use the unrEVOked method to root your phone.

Correct, unrevoked works for froyo [2.2] and revolutionary is for gingerbread [2.3+].

Which version of ruu did you do? Are you s-off? If you are s-off flash radio 2.15.00.07.28 from here http://pvillecomp.com/?page_id=18, then try unrevoked again.
If you are on gingerbread rom and s-on, you will need to use scottys guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306400 to downgrade and get s-off.
I used the stock PB31IMG image from Pvilles website, I thought it was the 4.08.605.2 but it was one prior to it, its a downgrade by version numbers, Yes I have S-off, I had it before from when I first got the phone and downgraded it to get root, and did the unrevoked forever and all was fine...then I installed a ROM that I was sure messed up my dbm signal, So I ruu'd back to start over.
That was all it took.....Thank you very much I knew I was forgetting something.....just could not remember what....

Fyi if your s-off you dont need to use unrevoked to regain root. Just flash cwm recovery thru hboot as a PB31IMG.zip (http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/CWM_5.0.2.0/PB31IMG.zip), and then flash the su binary thru cwm recovery (http://dinc.does-it.net/SuperUser/SuperUser_3.0.7.zip). Then boot up and install busy box and your rooted and good to go.
Thanks very much. I owe ya
