Hey guys wanted to let u all know that there is a working aosp rom for our phone at the skyrocket forums and i flashed it and it worked perfectly its by xboarder

ITs based off cm7 which means it uses our cm7 so I assume you need to keep gps on in order to not get the call audio bug?
it doesn't say in the thread. I guess I'll bring it up in that thread instead.

no what kind of kernel shall we use to use this rom. so the orientations not off.

aargh oh well. I will wait for darkside release .

The audio dont work for calls but i didnt flash any kernal just rom and it booted

the bug is with the rom not kernel and since there is no source code released any rom based off slayher will have the call audio bug but keep the gps on and you are fine

i dont get it, how is this different than the CM7 port that already exists for our phone?

Yeah, Skyrocket ROMs work on our phones, but you will need to flash a T989 kernel to fix rotation.

It's a Rom with a load of speed tweaks and is based of ics but has a whole lot of jellybean in there
I don't have an S3 but I could give it a swing I could also make a CM9 jellybean type Rom with speed tweaks also

I know you know that there are a bunch of crack flashers here like there are for most phones... HECK YES more roms the better

The more the merrier, I for one, would welcome it. Get you a S3 and get your a** busy

Eclipze you need a phone I used your ROM on my amaze, great stuff the gs3 folks would love to have a speed ROM.

Start by learning how to post in the right section.
Also a port of that rom isn't going to be worth it, we want and need the developer to build it for our device but they aren't..
Just go flash the Baked rom it has everything you could want in it and is awesome!!

Your best bet is to get in touch with it's creator and ask him if it's ok for you to port it. If so it would just be a matter of building it for your device.

Look man I have tried contacting the developer and he said he was working on it when the sprint nexus came out and then he never came through or responded. All I am saying is ports of roms are never even worth running unless its something like MIUI or some rom that we will never see. Liquid rom doesn't have much that we don't already have. so ya..

I have ported a few mokee is shendu and they have been stable u have a link for this ROM I may give it a shot

Samsung Multi-Window?

Just wondering if there are any "tweaks" that can get Samung's Multi-Window into the T989? Or even the windowed video while going other stuff? I don't think they're needs...but it would be cool if they were ported over!

Download super video in the play store for video. As far as multi windows, I doubt it. Our phone is just too small and would be awkward.

I just read on redmondpie the gods at xda ported for the s2 just not sure which ones.

All skyrocket ROMs are compatible with the T989. The skyrocket is the ONLY S2 that is compatible. DO NOT FLASH ANY OTHER S2 ROM OR ELSE YOU WILL HARD BRICK!! The only issue you will have is borked rotation and no signal. There is a flashable fix in the dev section, for ICS or JB. You will have to add the T-Mobile APN settings to get a signal.

I contradicted none of what I said. That one is for a different version of the GS2, not for ours which are backwards compatible (T989/Skyrocket).

LOL...T-Mo SGS2 = T989 the Skyrocket is the I727...so yes you are contradicting yourself there bud. Like it was stated previously if it works with the Skyrocket it will work with our phones.
edit: Just clicked the link and I'm not sure that works with our phones because thats in the I9100 forum which is the International version of the SGS2 which is NOT compatible with ours.(Correct if I'm wrong please)

It was a spelling error or typing error he meant to write not compatible instead of now compatible.

From my understanding, when our phone gets the update for jelly bean, it's suppose to include the multi Window feature. Don't take that to the bank as anything can change.

Why would you guys want multi window on this phone?? The resolution is way too low. Just upgrade for christs sake. Even with the pop up video player, you can barely do much of anything else, it covers more than half the screen.
