After watching that video I had to support the company that made it cause it's a pretty clever system they've come up with. I don't even care for dry install protectors but I had to try it. The fact that not only do you get 2 screen protectors with each order, you get the mold or jig specific to your device which ensures a properly installed protector every time.
I ordered mine off eBay from a seller named icapsale-istt. The product ships from S.Korea...I bought mine on the 9th, late in the evening, it arrived today. Pretty damn fast shipping if you ask me, especially since they estimated it wouldn't get to me until between 6.26.12 - 7.10.12. Obviously I can't do a product review since I don't have my device yet but rest assured I will once I get it installed.
**Update 6.30.12**
Alright fellas, got it on...installation was as straight forward as the video shows except you do have to get some bubbles out. So before you take off the top layer make sure you use the squeegee to get them all out. Unfortunately I got a spec of dust right smack dab in the middle of my screen but it's not noticeable unless the screen is off so for now it stays. First thing I noticed was the rainbow effect on the protector when the screen is off...when it's on I don't see any abnormalities. The screen feels the same as if it were naked. It doesn't cover the whole screen for obvious reasons (beveled edge around the screen) but during normal useage you don't even realize it. No banding, no rainbow effect, very clear, doesn't seem to effect the display negatively at all. Touch sensitivity is no different than without the protector on. The only thing about this is the price, it's pricey. That being said, it's not head and shoulders better than any other dry install protector i've ever used so hard to justify the price unless you're a noob and that concerned with installing one that the included jig will make you rest that much better...or if you're like me and just wanted to support the company who came out with such a setup for their ingenuity.
Overall, it's a nice protector that will ensure proper placement everytime...if only it could prevent dust as well But the price will turn most off, especially for this type of protector considering most of this type are about a quarter of the price or less. There is no rubbery feel on the display and it looks just as beautiful as it did when it was naked. I give this product an 8/10 only because of the price, would have been a 9 otherwise.
If I was not getting a otterbox defender I would get this. I hate putting screen protectors on wrong and this makes it so you can't.
yeah let us know how well they work. I am interested in seeing some close up shots of it installed as well.
I just purchased one as well!
I'm currently in S.korea and the SS3 isn't even out here yet, I wonder if I can get these here.
It's probably a lot cheaper here (just look at the prices of SGP in Korea compared to the rest of the world).
And does the screen protector cover the whole glass area?

How did it go?
Just got this in yesterday. Took off my XtremeGuard, and these screen protectors are pretty crystal clear and nice.
One problem is their cut. Unless if you have a case, they do not cover the whole phone but for good reason. The phone is a bit curved near the ends so if the hard plastic stretched all the way out it would float and not stick at all.
These are also reusable. To reinstall or reapply I suggest getting a lint remover, peeling off one of the tapes and just sticking your screen protector on it. This way it will remove any dust and you can reapply it.
It also feels great, if you have sweaty or oily hands, this screen protector will accommodate you. Application was easy, I just had a difficult time due to my dogs shedding in the summer heat... they are leaving a lot of hair around.
Summary: I would recommend it. Shipping takes forever though, like 2 to 3 weeks.

Thanks given :good: Nah man, it feels good. When I first installed an XtremeGuard, as much as I like that protector, it was noticeably tackier than the naked screen. This protectors feels as if it is the naked screen. As for the rainbow thing, yep, exactly as you just said. but turn the phone on and look for the rainbows or any other display defect and you're gonna be hard pressed.

Well then im sold I was a bit nervous about ordering a protector off of ebay, but this review helps a lot. And as far as the rainbow thing, doesn't bother me if its only when the screen is off (not like there's anything to see when its off) haha

Well glad I can help you out a bit. I feel the same....although I was very worried when I seen the rainbow effect before I turned the screen on. I have 3 XtremeGuards in hand but i'm not putting them on unless this one needs to be replaced for some reason.

Thats a smart decision. Im gonna order the SGP nano protector just in case the tribo doesn't workout for some reason.
only thing im worried about is if the edges will lift up due to the screen being curved

I just wanted to share with everyone that the Spectre Tempered Glass Screen Protector is now shipping.
I've never had this type of screen protector on my phone before, and it's a premium, but I'm even more excited and impressed after seeing their installation video. I'm sooo ready to get this cheapy screen protector off my phone that bubbled up. Hopefully this will be the end all solution to that problem and I'll report back!

[Update: 08/07/12]
I received mine today. I posted pictures below. I have a headache and I'm sleepy, so I will post a brief Q&A because I've been reading and I know there are some questions folks have been wondering that I can touch up on w/o a delay and I'll give it to you straight.
Q: How does the home button feel?
A: The home button is notably depressed. It operates as normal. Maybe a little awkward at first, but it's no big deal really. And to those thinking you are going to need to buy a raised home button, or a sticker..or something like that..you folks are going overboard with your imagination...bring it down a notch
Q: How was installation?
A: Very very simple and bar none the easiest screen protector I've ever installed. You see how fast he did it in the install video above. It's just like that. A few seconds and your done .. no waiting for nothing to dry, etc. etc...
Q: How does it fit in a case?
A: I have a clear gel tpu case on mine. My case does *not* fit over the screen protector. The edges are sitting pretty much flush with the top edge of the screen protector. I tried pulling it over, it was a no go. What I found is that this creates stress on the screen protector and caused it to lift at the top. I'll be looking into getting a different case to use with this screen protector. Maybe one that is a two piece, top and bottom section? The adhesive seems to be pretty good though. I was able to take my phone out of the case, push the screen protector back down. And I didn't have the issue for the day that I was using it.
Q: How about those *dots* I've been hearing about on the screen.
A: Bottomline, you'll notice them. When the screen is off or black, they are very visible. When the screen is on and you're holding the phone away..you're probably arn't going to notice so much. When you are holding the phone closer to you..they appear like little pixel crystals sparkling in the background. That's the best way I can explain it. Do I find it to be a deal breaker? Absolutely not..you'll just have to deal with it if you decide you want this screen protector.
Q: But the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S III is curved, and this is a glass screen protector that is straight, how does this affect the way it sits on the phone?
A: This is the biggest non-issue. You won't notice anything irregular here. So let that one go..
Overall, the screen protector looks great, there's no loss of sensitivity. [Perhaps even a better sensitivity then if you had any other type of screen protector on ur phone. It feels great.. after me typing the last 20mins.] I'll play with it for a few days and if there's something else needing to be touched up on I will .. otherwise I'd say it's a good purchase based on my initial impression. I happily took off my *wet* applied screen protector that was creating an eyesore because it was all bubbled up and applied this one.
So there you go!
And Please .. Press the thanks button if I've helped you at all..
That actually looks pretty impressive - My only concern would be having the home button be even more recessed. I'm already not too happy with how much effort it requires to press the home button. I know .4mm isn't much, but it's still less than without the protector.
I know .. me too ... but now that I see it written, versus having it said .. you know .4mm ... that's like next to nothing. But we'll see soon!
Yeah I ordered it one month ago, been rocking a cheapo xtremeguard screen protector waiting

wouldnt this also run the risk of being scratched (like the glass)? .. screen protector for this screen protector anyone?
has anyone installed it yet?
Honestly, i don't like the idead of having glass over glass. I had the Glass.T SGP on my GNote and didn't like it. Just my .02

Was it the feel of the glass? Was the image bad? Did it leave air bubbles?
What was wrong with it?
i dont really get this. what if it gets scratched?
I guess the only reason i didn't like it was because it messed with the usage of the S-Pen. Also it made the screen somewhat less responsive and inaccurate at times.

Lol, what's not to get? The whole idea of a screen protector is to protect the glass built into the phone (not easily replaced). If the protector gets scratched, that means it did it's job and should be replaced. At 8h it's far harder than even the most premium plastic screen protectors, and barely more expensive.
Seems promising but, I'll wait for some reviews before I'd seriously consider it.
I paid $27 including tax for a Zagg HD that performs in the $10-$15 protector range. This is $2 or so more delivered. I'm in.

I know itll get scratched, but its glass, when it gets scratched, its there, it will not heal itself like other screen protectors and this is not just those cheap ones that you can just change. And i do use use a screen protector on mine. Im just saying, for that price when it gets scratched, its going to stay there. But i know itll protect the screen underneath, and thats good. But for that price, changing it when it gets brutally scratched is a pain in the ass.
Is it really coming out?? So interested in but not sure how it's gonna adhere the curved edge. I know there are a lot of "curved" screen protector for now, but isn't glass too rigid for making it? If it works fine, I would love to buy one, but it's still risky to invest more than $30 for screen protector.

I think your main point here is really price. All screen protectors can get scratched, and when they do you replace them. This is certainly a "premium" product, and yes you have to pay more. This product certainly should be more scratch resistant than other screen protectors, so in theory you would need to replace it less often. More importantly to me, it is a real glass experience and feel, and should be perfectly clear.
Basically you are paying more for a more durable, clearer, easier to install, high quality screen protector.
Personally I would be interested if the quality is as advertised, I will wait for some ginny pigs to report their findings first though.

Why would this scratch less than other screen protectors? From my experience the GLASS screen tends to scratch easier than a screen protector. A good screen protector rather. So why wouldnt you buy a good screen protector that does not easily scratch vs a piece of glass that would scratch just as easily as the screen plus is more expensive than the other types of screen protectors

The hardness scale goes from 1H to 10H with diamonds being the top dog. This product is marketed as 8H tempered glass meaning only (9-10)H stuff can scratch it. Regular glass is 5.5H.
So I was wondering if anyone had input on a good screen protector. I keep trying the cheaper ones an I'm always left with bubbles that I can't get out. Or its just not cut right.
Is it worth it to pay for the high end ones? Are they better with bubbles?? Amazon reviews I can't always trust, but you guys I do
Suggestions??

I second this. They feel closest to glass to me.
OK cool. What about application? How hard are they to install? I used to do vinyl on windows and walls, that's no where near as impossible to apply smoothly

Go with Zagg Invisible Shield. BUT take it to an official Zagg/invisible shield employee..you can usually find booths in the mall. i say this because they take the time to apply it the correect way. unlike bestbuy or sprint who would just wipe the screen and slap the thing on there...or look up a youtube video on how to install invisible shield correctly...
zagg screen protectors are great.
I really like the ones that come with otterbox's any cheap ones its just better to not have one at all

Thanks! I just replaced a broken screen and wanted to get some good protection. I've bought off amazon before and their stuff just is cheap and doesn't feel right. Going to see if there is a Zagg booth in the mall by me!
hi
I got these matte finished screen protectors for like $5 on amazon there pretty good. if your still looking i can send you the link to it.
Honestly, I had a protector on mine for 6-8 months, I can't remember exactly. Took it off and never looked back.
I love the feel of the glass, and it's always in it's Sena leather slipcase, or charging. I don't think I would consider putting a protector back on at all, and when I upgrade this fall (Note 3???) I doubt I'll use one on it either.
I saw a couple of screen protectors on ebay/amazon, but most of them have no reviews/sales.
I don't want to buy, not knowing if they're good or bad.
Any recomendations from those 2 sites or others?
Thanks.

Personally, I never use screen protectors. Unless the screen on the G Pad is unusually easy to scratch, I can't see why one would be necessary. I would use a sleeve or case to protect it while it's not in use and not worry about a protector when I'm using it. But that's just my take.

The no brand Ebay ones are usually very crappy, and scratch quite easily.
The XtremeGuard ones.... i find they are strong, however they make the screen grippy.
Wished SGP Spigen would make one for this device, their screen protectors are awesome.
Personally I have always sworn by RealLook- not the cheapest, but they fit the better than any I have found, are crystal fracking clear and feel good too. I have the Speigen on my G2 and maybe it's just me, but doesn't feel as slick as the RL. Also, and this may be my imagination, but it seems more of a fingerprint magnet than the RL's I used on my Skyrocket and Tab. Even after paying for the Speigen (and a Galss-M which lasted 10 minutes) when RL licks up support for the G2 I'm throwing away the perfectly good Speigen... hopefuly I'll have my gPad by then.
You can give a try to the vikuiti DQC160. you can find on ebay for approx 20 EUR. Definitely great!
Hah, I'm using that "stock screen sheet", just cut off that little piece, where you are supposed to grab it and remove the sheet, and it's a perfect screen protector for $0

Email them. I also am a big fan of Spigen and can tell you right now they have no plans to support the G Pad. However if enough people request it, they may change their mind. I have already inquired and requested myself.
Whatever you do, don't buy the Armorsuit screen protector. I installed it last night, and my touch screen is 90% non-functional through it. Worked perfectly on my phone, but it's worthless for this tablet.
Edit: scratch that, it killed my touch screen. Just pulled it off, and I'm still getting random button presses and no sensitivity. I applied it exactly according to instructions (and I have the same product working perfectly on my phone), so this shouldn't have happened. I'm guessing some water got under the screen.

I would be extremely cautious with any of the screen protectors that require water for application. The G Pad doesn't seem to be sealed very well, and (as I said above) I managed to get some water under the screen despite following the directions exactly.

I purchased and applied the Armorsuit to my GPE G Pad yesterday, have no issues at all with touch screen sensitivity/useability. Sprayed both sides with application liquid, and applied, squeegeed out excess liquid wipe dry with towel, waiting for micro bubbles to dry up and disappear now...would prefer a dry apply but the wet apply works just as well.

That's what I did as well, but my screen appears to be thoroughly borked. It's registering touches when I'm not even holding it, and I can't even turn it off because pressing the on-screen confirmation buttons does absolutely nothing. My best guess is that some of the application fluid got under the glass or into the case (how, I'm not sure - there was hardly any excess and I dried it all off once I got everything squeegeed). I've got it sitting in a bag of rice right now to see if that fixes it.
I've used the same type of protectors on both of my phones with zero problems, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I plan on calling their customer service line this afternoon, but I doubt I'll get anywhere with them.

I advise you to leave the touch screen near something warm. And leave the device off for a day or 2, if you can. I had this happen to me when I tried to apply a wet application screen protector. I also factory resetted the device before I left it off for 2 days.

Thanks for the tips. Can't turn it off because the screen refuses to register touches in the center, but it's just about out of battery now, so it should be turning off on its own soon. It's currently in its bag of rice in a warm spot, so we'll see how it turns out.
After all these junk glass screen protectors. I have had a new one on my phone every 1-2 days. They have all been pretty bad. I found one on amazon that looks promising.
All the ones I have tried only use edge glue and I hate that because it causes gaps and loss of sensitivity and they also have a matrix pattern.
Whitestone Dome glass, screen protector (Can't link because of new user restriction/ just search "Whitestone s8+" on amazon)
It is on the price side at $45 but if it works good I think it's well worth it.
It uses a UV glue over the whole screen that you cure in place.
Mine arrives on Friday and I'll let you know what I think. Hopefully this is my last one.
Or if anyone else has tried it.
Edit:
I have just installed mine. Looks to have went perfectly. I have my case on it right now the Speck Presidio Grip. It looks like a tight fit but it's not interfering with it. Touch sensitivity and clarity is great. It is thick and has a lip on the edges so if you where using a skin or no case it would be an issue for you.

Ok, I'm intrigued. Please do report back.
I'm curious too, especially if it's case-friendly. It's useless to me otherwise, as I refuse to go caseless with this phone. Keep us posted~
EDIT TO ADD: Here's the link for the screen protector - Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector
One thing come too my mind, how easy will it come off again, if you crack the protector.

Supposedly it peels right off, just like any other adhesive.

Indeed I have. What does that have to do with removal, as only the installation is shown? A separate thread for the GS7E stated that it comes off just like a film protector. The only difference in the adhesive, to my understanding, is that I begins in liquid form to ensure no bubbles/gaps. Afterwards, it can be peeled away just as they can.

It just seems like they use UV light too make the adhesive work better. But if you er so sure it is cool, becouse other glass protectors stink.
Looks suspicious according to this

I'm taking a chance and placed an order. I figure with all of the crap screen protectors I would end up spending this much anyway. Atleast if this this works I save some money. It will be here on Friday so here's to hoping for the best.

Please do share your experience. If this installs and cures as clearly/evenly as the videos would imply, with no impact to the screen sensitivity, then this product should be a hot commodity. They seem to state that removal of the glass/glue should leave no damage or residue that cannot be cleaned off easily. If that's the case, then I will also be giving this one a shot, pending other users like yourself have a positive experience.
I took a chance also and will get it Fri or so. I ordered the one from Verizon but after reading bad reviews I'm going to return it for a refund. I'll just stick to rubber screen protector if this one isn't right.
Ok, watched an install video, no audio or subtitles but I got the idea. Seems neat, got me interested so I subscribed to this thread to see the reviews of those who purchased. May finally be what we need. But I would say we need someone to install just to show the removal process and see if there are any problems with removal, like if the adhesive is tough to remove after the glass has been removed or if it stays with the TGSP. Anyone purchase two for that purpose?

Go watch either of the drop videos that Whitestone has on YouTube. Both show the removal about halfway through.
Seems as easy, maybe easier than a film. No residue/damage.
Can't wait for someone to confirm this. Looks way perfect on video.

I've looked through the Korean forums and saw many reviews on this product. While some say it's perfect, some say there are problems. For example, if you happen to leak the liquid adhesive on your speaker or any other buttons, it breaks them. Also it seems that it's very hard to remove the leaks. Even after the success of putting it on, I've seen pictures of it not being glued on perfectly or it lifts. There are comments saying that it's not worth 45 dollars to break the $850 device. But like I said, if you follow the instructions and had no problems attaching it, it seems like a promising screen protector.

FYI...your link is broken.
U Droid Mania on Youtube posted a vid on this protector. He only talked about installation, as it's a 2 part video. Part 2 will be coming soon~
