does anyone know of a way to push a prl to the phone without using qpst or CDMA workshop? I know on the older phones you could do it through epst but the code has been taken out of our current epst. tia

I am pretty sure the above mentioned ways are the only means to flash PRLs at this time. It would be nice if it could be done directly through the device though.

Hello everyone. I hope some one can help me with my problem. so i bought a HTC EVO 4g and then i flashed it to boostmobile. I was wondering if i flash a new rom or kernel to my phone would it mess up my network. meaning, i wont be able to use my phone with boost mobile unless i get it flashed to boost mobile, wich by the way i paid 75$ to get it done, again?

If I'm not mistaken, when you flash a different rom, you will need to reconfigure it for boost mobile. The kernel *shouldn't * affect it, but, I'm only guessing. I suggest you post your question in the boost mobile thread, if you're able to.

Does the phone, on Sprint, need the proper MSL to activate the internet or even self program? I have a phone with all 0's as the MSL which is incorrect. The proper MSL is an actual number for this MEID.
Does the phone need the newest PRL to activate properly? PRL version is 51079.

It doesn't need the newest, but it definitely needs a proper sprint prl, and that is not it.
I am having some serious issues getting the Internet and MMS working on a Flashed EVO 4G. It is flashed to MetroPCS.
I have 2 Evos. One of them (mine) has Internet and MMS working great as per tutorial. The only thing I noticed was that when I got my Evo, the 1x sign would show, but the internet would not work.. After following JD's tutorial, everything works great.
On the other Evo (my girlfriend's) there is no 1x or any type of symbol. No internet whatsoever. I have followed every guide on here and it still does not work. I have followed the provisioning guide, and all other guides with no success. No matter what I do, or what I change, still no internet.
While following tutorials, I ran into these issues:
When I go to whiterabbit.org, and I enter the MEID, I get an MSL Code... but if I enter the 8 digit ESN shown in the top of the QPST window by MEID, I get a DIFFERENT MSL CODE? Is this normal?
Also, after clicking WRITE TO PHONE in QPST, I get an error that says NV Item Read Only...
I have also tried ##sctrn# and reset the data, and then redid the provisioning, but NOTHING.
When I go to settings, the mobile data box is checked, but then if I uncheck and recheck it, it will get stuck at "enabling"
So you can see from my above stated issues, that I really need help... Please help me out someone...
Sounds like the device is not provisioned correctly. I would recommended doing a ##scrtn and retriggering the provisioning.
As for espt I suggest a sense 1.0 rom
Flashing radios will not break the flash only flashing a different hboot would.

That is because ##scrtn is not editable.. Hit reset then enter your msl. After your phone reboots call the activation number (usually *228, yours may vary) or update profile under about phone.

Im not sure how MetroPcs handles HFA, but with Cricket after a reset I can dial *228 or update profile and it reprograms the device.

Wait do I need autostart.sh and u2nl and all that?
Im sorry but this is now over my head. I know the basics about flashing to a different carrier.
My next suggestion is to contact the OP of a flash your evo to metropcs thread.

I've done that. My issue is that when I "provision" as per guide or as you said, it changes the settings but still the internet does not engage... no 1x or anything.
Just because I've had a stubborn phone or two in my day. Try flashing hBoot twice. Back to back. Also try new copies of your files. And verify checksums if possible too. Sounds like you may have a slight corruption or a mis-written byte somewhere. Just my two cents.

Wouldn't you just be able to Odin software and modem back to sprint? I would believe in theory that would revert it back to correct settings. I may be wrong however

Procedure to convert back to sprint.
1) ##RTN# then hit reset
2) Load a sprint prl
a) system settings -> system update -> update prl
b) or load a sprint prl with your favorite software like cdma workshop, dfs, etc.
That is all you have to do. After you do the above your phone should be ready to activate on sprint.
What I am not sure about is changing your msl back to the sprint default. That would not hurt anything, so make sure you save it somewhere in case you need it. I have converted a galaxy 4g to pageplus then back to sprint without any problems and did not change the msl from 000000.
One other note you don't have to change the prl but you will flagged for roaming if you use a verizon prl. That is not a good idea to roam all the time.
Note: Odin does not reset the nvram or change the prl.
Good luck, The sprint s3 works great on pageplus.

Is there a tutorial on xda (or YouTube) on this procedure? I'm a noob to xda and flashing but I'm capable. For ex. Step #1 ##RTN# then hit reset. Is this done on the phones keypad or a software app ex CDMA workshop?
Thanks again
HEY guys I have the note n900t. I am trying to get the Diag mode to work. I tried ##3424# and *#7284#. I have stock rooted 4.3. Does anyone know what rom, and a link please, I need for Diag mode?
Also does anyone have the script to get the msl as well. Yes I know it's gsm but Im pretty sure it's going to prompt me for that as well. I bought a note 3 with imei issues and would like to fix it.
Thank You

I see the same screen just says diag config and nothing. I'm on the CNB4 firmware still though. I upgraded to the DNE6 but realized too late that I wouldn't be rooted and couldn't find a root solution quick enough so I just restored a backup via TWRP. Yes it does work, I have seen skepticism in the forums about TWRP Restores.
OP As for wanting help reaching the DIAG Menu, what Diagnostic are you trying to get to? You may want to visit this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754957 About the hidden service menu. They list alot of dial codes that you may could use to accomplish your task.

What specifically are you trying to get a diagnostic of? Do you want the screen that allows you to do all the hardware tests? Do you want the menus that allow you to change internal settings? Which diag menu / mode are you trying to reach?
