I hate the slide to unlock on my phone. If I use any application it either closes randomly for eg. while playing a game or it slows down the phone. So is there any way to replace the lockscreen?
My XPlay is rooted and I have custom Recovery installed if that would help.

Ever since installing the RUU and re-rooting with S-OFF, the YouTube app fails to load. It starts to draw the window, but within a split second it jumps right back to my home screen without actually launching. This happens regardless of how I launch the app (LauncherPro, Sense, link sent via Chrome To Phone, etc.), but I can get the app to play a video if I go to m.youtube.com in the browser and view from there.
Anyone else having this issue?
I had the same problem in 2.1 unrooted & rooted. Sometimes it would work, but once it stopped, I would have to reboot my phone to get it to work.
I'm not sure if it is because this phone is second hand or if there is a software issue inside this Android flash, but when I bought the phone it was on stock Android 2.2.1 and had been factory reset as expected. However after using the phones features for half a day or so things started deteriorating (for example the settings app force closed), to combat this I did another factory reset and again things were still force closing, so I did yet another. Everything from this seems fine except now if I'm playing music through the stock player it appears after so long it force closes and won't work until the phone is restarted. When I get home I'll be flashing CM7 but I'm wondering what the problem could be. Any ideas?

Hi, is there a way to stop the phone from closing an app that is running ? Let me explain, i use my phone to film off road expeditions, but after a certain time the camera app closes, i then have to restart it, then it closes again and so on. Is there a way to keep it from closing down ?

There's really nothing you can do about that since Android manages the memory and kills off apps based on memory free, app priority, and LFU (least frequently used order). (the only way to make an app not get killed sooner than regular apps is to have it host a service.)
It only takes a moment to start the camera, so what's the deal? If you need the camera to be available in a microsecond then you want a dedicated camera instead
I flashed CM10 to my S3 a couple days ago, and I haven't been able to load certain games since then.
Sometimes I can get them to load if I mess around with the recent apps and locking/unlocking the screen, but sometimes they just won't work. For example, I installed PewPew the other day, and whenever I try to launch it, the music plays, but I just get a black screen. If I feel around on the screen the haptic feedback shows that I'm interacting with the game, it's just not showing me any image.
Another example is Minecraft: Pocket Edition. If I launch it, once again I can interact but it won't show me any images, but in this case if I lock and unlock my phone I can get it to start working as normal.
Anyone have any ideas as to how I could fix this?

I guess first thing is first.
Did you full wipe when you flashed cm10?
How did you get the games? From market or restoring from a backup?
Are you under volted?
There are a lot of reasons for apps to cause issues, breast thong is to clear app data and try it again. If that doesn't work than a fresh ROM flash might be in order.

Greetings All,
So I have a strange problem with my One M8, whenever I install a custom ROM (tried them all) the phone lags badly. Even leaving it after a couple of hours and picking it up again the phone just never becomes responsive. So what do I mean by laggy? If I open the app draw, for example, and start scrolling my apps there is a jerking motion to it instead of it being smooth. The same applies when I am moving between home screens.
Does anyone know why this could be happening? I am on the latest firmware for my device which is 6.12.111.4 so I don't think that would be the cause and no matter the ROM I always do a clean wipe and install to try and avoid issues like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
