Dear All,
I have installed official beta of ICS from Sony to my Xperia Arc and now I can't set up synchronization with exchange server. Account has been created successfully and synchronization page in options shows that sync was successful. But no calendar items was appeared and no mail could be received. I have tried to roll back to 3rd version of email client, but it is not working at all.
Any ideas?

you can replace the stock one with the ics/jb one, but i don't think you can have them simultaneosly
i downloaded xperia s rom for my play but in this rom the email app force closes whenever i open it. can anyone give me the link to download XPERIA PLAY default email app. i want it as soon as possible for my business emails. olease help.

When you install a custom you have a small agreement between you and the developer of the rom. That is you agree the rom won't have 100% functionality as it would as stock. My only suggestion to you is download a 3rd party from the googleplay store or stick with stock.

But if u could give me the default email app of any of the xperia models that would work with Xperia play would be helpful..... its my mistake but now I'm facing trouble. So if u could help will be a great pleasure...... :-|

Download an email app from the playstore eg. gmail. And use it as your email app

I will install it via root cause it doesn't install as usual. It shows app cannot be installed.

Since flashing a clean Install of Viper I have been unable to add an exchange account.
It's says that my password and username are wrong but I know they are correct
Are there any security settings or certs that I need to clear down?

Did you dirty flash or full wipe?
As you've already stated its probably something to do with the SSL certificates.

Most of the time Administrators sets restrictions on number of devices that can be added to your exchange profile so if you max out on that you will not be able to add account to your phone untill you delete some of them. If you have habit of flashing different roms then every time you setup exchange account on new rom it will be considered new phone.
you will have to go to Outlook webaccess->options->See All Options->Phone to see list of mobile devices connected to your exchange account.
Thanks smoking I spoke to our provider and there were loads of devices ie mine after flashes lol
They cleared th down but the problem still exists.

I put Google Calendar Sync Adapter apk into /system/app but still I do not see the option to sync my calendar in the settings under Accounts & sync.
Do I need another apk as well?
Google Mail and Contacts do sync fine.

Did you changed their permissions ?
Yes. GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk has "rw r r", same as GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
Try reflashing gapps...
The problem was caused by a missing CalendarProvider.apk.
Thus you need both, the CalendarSyncAdapter.apk as well as CalendarProvider.apk

Please, anyone, put here a good word. This is more than itch I cant scratch, it's my calendar list. Also, if someone can confirm what to hunt for, doo tell.

GOT IT!
Get GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk, install it llike an app, and calendar will sync with g account.
I have android CM 4.4.2, not sure if this can help all, but this is link I dwnloaded from:
goo.im , site wont let me to put link here, but google GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk, get it and install it.

Hello my friends i have Wildfire S CM10.1 CWM v5.0.2.8 without GAPPS flashed and i download from a site the original VIBER apk.I install it to my phone.It work perfect it send me the code etc. but when i get in to the app it can't read my contacts so i can't see who of my friends has viber or even chat.what should i do?is there any solution?I think that i have to install GAPPS because when i get in the settings and i press to import an account in other apps (shazam,yahoo,etc.) it just take me to the page i was before without any message or crash...

I am not sure but, I doubt its got anything to do with gapps. You should check the "sync option" under both your device settings and viber settings.

According to Viber, "Some Android devices require that your contacts are synced to your Google account before being able to sync them to Viber". Also, they say its a known issue and they are working on resolving it in future versions. Untill then my friend, you would need gapps.
