Hello,
I noticed many roms coming out for the phones like the sensation, with ICS + sense 4.0 or sense 3.6.
I was wondering if the desire will be able to receive such roms ?
Is there some dev already working on adapting such roms on the Desire ?
Sorry if the question has already been asked but I didn't find any other thread on this particular subject.
Frem.
I'm sorry you can delete my post i found answers on the subject.
We'll just have to wait and see.

hi, i'd like to know which version number the new sense carries, so i know what rom to get.
since theres already a dump of the Desire Z Rom, i figure, a new sense rom for desire isn't too far away.
so, i'm hoping for answers
if theres already such a rom, i'd like to know its name.
greetings max
There's a LOT of work for devs to do to get it on the Desire at the moment...it's apparently huge in size
Hello every one, I've got a question (maybe already asked but I find nothing sorry) about de Desire:
My N1 was stolen a few weeks ago and I have the possibility to have a Desire. But the fact is that I don't want sense and I'd like to have the official Google OTA update, without waiting for HTC.
So my question is: is it possible to root the desire and install the same rom as on the N1?
Thanks by advance for the answers, and sorry for the english, I'm a poor french frog
Just look around the forum
If you look around in the htc desire development forum you'll find a lot of custom roms and how to's on rooting, s-off and theming.
This thread is in the wrong place
N1 ROms are essentially ASOP roms, they're all over this forum.
But if I take a custom rom, I won't be able to have the officials OTA Google updates, like it was with my N1, and that's what I want : /
see, the google updates are like cake, and the custom aosp updates here are like cake with chocolate sauce on top of it.
ok (I love cake so I love the image^^), if there's really no way I'll take a tour on the forum and check which ROM seems to be the best for me, thanks for the help.

althought the desire and n1 are similar there not the same, you cant just put the n1 rom on the desire so when google does an ota update, you'l magically get it on your desire too, the cake anology is good as generally the asop roms are more or less the n1 roms with tweeks to make them even better ( like overclocking etc) id recomend the defrost rom, it has ota updating built into the rom and am pretty sure as soon as gingerbread comes out we'l have it on the desire at the same time as the n1 people have it ( also you have the option of having a sense rom which is nice, always good to have options)

Crazy. You can NOT run N1 roms on the Desire
To OP: just use CyanogenMod
Sent from my HDfied HTC Desire
Thanks a lot everyone!
Hi Xda-ians,
I've been googling for a while to find new ROM with Sense, I found something from this threat here, which is similar to what I am looking for. However, after gone through, I've learnt that it's is not yet completed (correct me if I am wrong).
So, anyone help me out to get a new ROM with HTC sense 2.2.3?
Thanks in advanced.
Regards,
mkr
2.3.3 with Sense isn't avilable for wildfire
a developer (Emiliano) was working on sense rom but Unfortunately his device was broken, he is collecting donations to buy a second hand one to continue his project.
his thread
oh cmon people this thread has nothing to do with development. stop making threads like this in development section.
Thanks for the information I'm so sorry for the inappropriate threat.
Cheers
wich rom is fast, good battery time and full working camera? i need good camera as was in 2.1 original rom
I'm hearing JokerDroid is pretty good.
The other good sense alternative is Wildpuzzle.
Hi guys,
My first post on this forum will be a question, and please believe me after searching in different topic I have not found an answer to my question.
I am the happy owner of a HTC X ONE, and I had the opportunity to flash several types of ROM: Cyanogen, AOPK, MIUI, STOCK-LOOK ...
And I fell in love with speed, speed, simplicity of cyanogen roms and its derivatives (such as PARANOID)
Especially with CM10 Jelly Bean.
But I have to stay in a rom type VIPERX, android Revolution HD, despite my distaste for the overlay SENSE because the application Camera (and in a less importance the gallery app) is just perfect . I think I'm not the only one in this situation.
Is it there's AOSP ROM projects (such CYANOGEN PURE), with an idea of a port of the fabulous camer app ?
Is it possible to make this port, or the only possible solution is to wait for official 4.1 ROM and remove any touch of SENSE keeping the application?
Thanks for your answers.
No it is next to impossible, if anything incredibly unlikely, as HTC sense uses different framework.
Which JB rom is the fastest rom out there now for our DHD? I've noticed that CFX take alot of the ram memory and that reallt slows DHD down.
Threads like this arent allowed...
Seeall the ROMs yourself
Push that thanks button if I helped!

Moderator update,
Thread is now closed. Please use the search feature before opening a new thread. There are all ready threads like this on the forum. In regards to what is the best rom, that is difficult to answer. Each rom will work differently for each person using it. The best thing to do is to try them out for your self and see what you like.
