[Q] Sony Ericsson Xperia Play brick

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play wo'nt turn on

Three threads? I know it's important but try and keep it to one thread.

did you try a SE update with a rooted phone with bootloader unlocked

Thats how i bricked mine try flashing using this flash tool and the firmware provided worked for me xda wont let me post the link because I'm a new member if you want the link message me

Install PC Companion, do NOT connect the phone and run the program.
Click on Support Zone > Start > Repair. Now just follow the instructions. Fingers crossed.

Unless you are a Verizon Play owner - we can't use the PC Companion. In that case, you might try using either the WotanClient or the Flashtool option and the proper FTF file. You can find both of those solutions in the Dev section.

[Q] How to root Defy 2.3.6 4.5.2-109_DHT-22

Hello all, I have just flash a new SBF 4.5.2-109_DHT-22 (version 2.3.6) as my Defy was not able to access any Data network, so I think it may be a good time to flash a new rom and try
Now, I can access the data network again, but I cannot root my defy! I have done some google search, using Superoneclick 2.3.2 and 2.3.3 , and also DooMLoRDv4 but still no luck
Is there anyone had root 2.3.6 with Defy successfully? Can you give me some hint what I should do?

oh, I ask to my friend. he said your bootloader level is 6，2.3.6 can't root. so you need to wait for new 版本 superoneclick

i have a same problem with you , do your superoneclick stop at step#5 or something like "Bad Luck" shows in the dialog ?

I get the SBF from that thread.
I tried to use NANDROID recover , but I don't know why it fails (actually, is still unable to access the 3g data network ,even the APN setting is correct)
so that's why I flash the sbf and perform an factory reset (and than it work!)
but unable to root.
(but compare speaking, 2.3.6 is much more stable than 2.3.4)

Yes, sometimes it displayed Bad Luck (or fail)
sometimes it just frozen!

on the China moto forum mfunz.com there is a tool to root bl=6 rom

Thanks I can understand Chinese.
But it need to register and also have to do factory reset,
I think I may be better to wait (just re-set my mobile, lazy to perform it agian)

Doesn't 2nd init need the phone to be root 1st?

Xperia Play R800i Bricked.

Hello everyone , I'm a stupid Noob.
Today I was just trying some new ROMs for my Xperia Play; once I tried the 2.3.3 UK Generic and I forgetted to don't do the OTA, so now I have my xperia play bricked, when I try to turn it on it just vibrate, when I try to connect it to the pc it connect directly in flash mode ( Without pressing back button). Please everyone help me!!
P.s. I did try to look on this forum for some solution before writing this, and i found out some thread but all the downloads link were broken.
I would appriciate any help from you guy!!:good:

Have you tried using flashtool to flash a complete FTF?

You have damaged your phones trim area and well your kinda screwed if you don't want to pay to have it repaired cuz you need a bunch of hardware to repair it.....so best bet contact allejandrissimo or Wotan server and schedule a repair
Unless flash mode works then just flash a ftf

Go to general section and find the FOTA UNBRICK TOOL. It is a .ftf file to be flashed with flashtool..

I have just purchased my phone yesterday (note 2), i was rooting my phone, and installing MJ5 bootloader using odin,i dont know what went wrong my phone says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and i read somewhere that using kies i will be able to restart my device,but my device is not connecting to pc,i have updated kies software i have tried another samsung device to connect and it connected.please help me people,i really need you.i even cant go to the service station as my warranty is already void.help help help

Don't panic, kies just sucks. Use odin to repair Your phone, best if You change Your ROM too as rooting isn't enough anymore (knox is there).

Just use Odin to flash a rom........... Usually beginners should not mess with the bootloader

HELP ME PLEASE My Moto Z Play can't turn on after Update Android N

My Moto Z Play it not working after i update Android 7.0.0 can't turn on
it's black screen

can you further explain whats going on?
press and hold the power button for 10 seconds so that it turns off (if its on)
when you turn on the device, do you hear any sounds?
does it vibrate when you press the finger print sensor?
it there a 'lock' sound when you press the lock button?
by pressing anywhere on the screen, can you guess if the touch is working? (vibration)
did you try getting into bootloader or recovery?

Did you downgrade to Marshmallow at any point?

when i connect with USB to PC on my pc, i hear device connect sound but nothing new Drive show on my computer
and i try all button command it not working
but LED Light is showing when i connect to USB and Charger

this i do on my Moto Z Play before Black Screen
Android 7.0 -> Update to Android 7.1.1 -> Unlock Bootloader -> Install TWRP -> Bootloop after install TWRP -> Flash Rom back to Android 6.0.1 -> Update to 7.0 Downloaded and Install Step i Get Black Screen

So you did downgrade to mm and then accepted update​... Looks like hard brick.

Welcome to the darkside my friend, or as I call it the "we should have read all threads that specifically said don't downgrade to OTA because you WILL hard brick your phone" cause now you basically have a paperweight. don't take my words personally a lot of us are in the same boat. Just have to wait to see if a new blank flash file surfaces to hopefully get you to boot loader. :crying:

today i'm go to Motorola customer center they repairing and tomorrow they call to me tell what problem on my phone and if change new mainboard i'm must pay 300$ + (in thailand is 10,000฿ +)
if i pay this price i can buy new phone :crying: :crying:

today i go to get back my z play and they can't fix my phone because my phone from india
i don't know how i can doing next

Don't do it! Get the blank flash from the unbricking thread here. Use the G5 blank flash.
Only thing is, If you had 7.1.1 in order to get out for fastboot we are waiting for a new bootloader. Just need the 7.1.1 or higher then we are back in business.

If you get it going let me know what you did. I cannot pass fastboot because I had the 7.1.1 bootloader. Since there is no 7.1.1 bootloader available in .img I am stuck until we get one or an updated one.

Now i can use my Moto Z Play on Android 7.1.1 Thanks everyone for help
