Hi guys,
Got my hands on the NGP from Incipio, an awesome TPU case that offers good protection while keeping a slim form factor. It is comfortable, lightweight and cutouts on the case are spot-on. Watch the video review for all info.
Anyone know how it compares to SGP's ultra-capsule?

Yup, I've been sent the Ultra Capsule for review as well, the Ultra Capsule is a lot more flexible but the buttons are WONDERFULLY easy to press. The Ultra Capsule is glossy whereas the NGP has a soft touch backing, I like it better since it provides better grip.
Cutouts are a little better on the Ultra Capsule but overall both cases are great.
Another good video, thank you

Apologies, my version does not have it so I forgot about it - but you are right, this is made specifically for the i9100 version.

I'm sure you'll be pleased with the case!
Are buttons really hard to press?
I'm looking for such case... it seems to be parfect except this one little issue...
Its harder and lacks feedback but it means u dont accidentally change volume which is what i do when i dont use a case
The micro usb cut out is a little small but the oem cable and charger fit fine
However my blackberry micro usb cable cant fit in fully

Thanks for the vid. I bought the magenta one. Can't wait to receive it. Looks like it offers good protection and still manages to maintain a thin profile. A Win-Win case for me.
I like the Neo Hybrid too but wasn't too thrilled about the antenna cutout.
Just picked one up recently after purchasing a Casemate Barely There the day prior. Of the 50+ stores in my million + city NONE had them in stock. That is until I found the 51st retailer. FWIW I like the Barely There as well.
Overall a very good case. Same price point as the SGP Neo Hybrid, similar dimensions, etc... but higher quality. It's replacing a Neo Hybrid which suffered from the sag on the back side of the phone; I ran double side tape for a while, which worked, but then it pissed me off that I had to run double sided tape.
As much as I liked the Neo Hybrid initially, it wasn't worth the price IMO considering its construction, and sag issue. At the end of the day it costed more than the Incipio after factoring in shipping, etc... and it's not nearly as good. $25-30 isn't going to break the bank, but that's not the point.
Both: look good, are "economical", are slender, lightweight, and offer some protection.
The Neo Hybrid: would be a better case if it were priced at $15 and the rubber didn't sag after many heat cycles.
The Incipio: worth the cost, and much higher quality materials and build quality.
Caveat: This post will be updated if I experience any issues with the Incipio.
And yes, the power button is hard to press. I hold my phone with my left hand, and it takes much more force to press the power button with my index finger if I'm in one hand mode. Not as much of an issue for you right handers since you can use your thumb.
Curious if anyone has done "surgery" to the power button with a sharp knife? I'm thinking of making a small incision on either side to lighten up the action a bit.
Edit: micro USB port is "tight"; takes a little bit more force to attach the cable to the phone. It doesn't appear to alter the angle the micro USB enters the port however, so I doubt it will lead to charging port damage. Will see if it wears the case to accommodate itself before I break out the knife.
Can the power button be modified? Perhaps stick something inside the case to make the button more responsive?
Another question - has anyone tried the case with the Samsung 2000mah high capacity battery? It looks to me like the case would fit, but given how snug it is it may not.

got one which looks the same in blue,http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006BX8BCO but is very pale/light in colour unlike the picture, would have been better in a darker shade.
I find it makes the volume buttons ultra sensitive though, like they are part-way depressed so a slight touch sends the ringer volume up/down very fast. It'll do for now till another one (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0067LKSJ4) similar to the one I had on my SGS2 arrives.
Dave
Got the same case. It's ok for now but there is that problem with buttons (volume too sensitive, power button difficult to use) and I find it too bulky. I think I'll try something like skinomi carbon fibre to cut down on bulk and be able to use brodit car holder.
the second of the cases arrived, much better, no issues with the volume/power buttons, even has a moulding for a landyard to be fitted. Even came with a screen protector, but is cut away around the home button and the speaker/sensors at the top, rather than a neat custom cut. First case (pale blue) didn't come with a protector, but that's ok, I ordered a couple of Vikuiti CV8 ones as I've used their products before.
Not sure what it is about the GN cases but both of the ones I've received are very pale colours. First "Blue" was more like sky or baby blue, and this one (S-type case) is a very light purple, unlike the photo's on the sales pages. Still, this is workable and looks ok, better grip mouldings on the long edges too so feels nice and positive when held. Might see if I can get one in a dark blue at a later date.
Dave
I'm in Malaysia, and I just got my G Note 10 days ago. Absolutely love it to death!
Unfortunately, we don't have any cases here yet. Luckily for me, the standard flip-book cover came FREE from Samsung for the first 1000 buyers.
This, unfortunately, is one area where android devices cannot compete with Apple and that is the huge support from 3rd party accessories developers. It's sad cause the devices offer the best in customability but lack support for accessories...oh well, I guess we can't have it all then, can we?

I have the same glossy case, from Fonem8 on Ebay, it fits and looks good
wow...the glossy one looks like a dust collector
That case has alot of scratches after using it for 3 days, it there a method to polish it to remove the scraches
Here is a review of the Incipio NGP case for the Galaxy Nexus. Sorry for the out of focus at times. I was using the verizon version with extended battery.
Don't have time to watch the video right now, but you're using the GSM with the extended battery and the Verizon case? I've been waiting for a review like this if true
I also have the Incipio NGP case and I must admit I love it. The power button takes a little more pressure to press than I was expecting, but all in all, I still have no issues. Keeps the phone very light and slim.
I do wish they make more colors soon.
Here's some pics that are a little closer than the video.
I picked this case up as well and love it. I have had 2 other cases that I returned to due additional weight and bulkiness. I am using it with the extended battery and it fits fine. Like the guy above said the power button is a little off, but its not a big deal.

At friday I recieved a elagio G5 case ordered from ebay for $19.90 USD with additional $5 shipping - check this item
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251158803922?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
The item was shipped fast, and when I opened the luxury box I saw my new indigo case , a microfiber for cleaning the phone and a useless screenprotector which covers only the screen but not it's bezel. When I take a second look I saw that the case has some bad finish, worse that $3 USD TPU case. And while the images in the e-bay listing are photoshoped, the most worse part is that when I hold the phone the case press the volume or power button , and my phone goes muted or incidently turned off
BTW. the seller is corect, and responded immediately. He said that he can't sent a new one to me because he can't verify that the new one wil be of better quality. Also he offered me a refund if I destroy the item.
Unfortunatelly at the moment I can't fing another indigo soft case, so I thick I can modify this one and keep it, but trust me I doesn't worth it's price.

I am not familiar with the brand... but is that just a fake?
It seems all the brands have lines on them now. My old Otter boxes never did and now all do... but that crap on the side is just un called for.
Yes I know, the quality of all products is going bad, but the problem with the buttons is very annoying... I cutted the buttons back a little and now is OK. The problem is that no matter you pay 5 or 20 USD you get the same crap.

i have the blue case with the brushed metal back. i can tell you, with the case on, it lowers the signal strength for cell and wifi. plus i think it shields the nfc strength as well. quality wise, it's great...
Thought I would start a new 'case thread' for the Z Fold 2, as the current one in this forum is very US orientated and the cases discussed there - are simply not available in the UK right now.
I will kick this off though with a high level of frustration, that this is the hardest phone to get a bloody case for! Especially given that it's one of the most fragile. Sure you can pay £80 for a flimsy bit of leather that only protects the back of the phone from Samsung. That's just a crazy price and poor value for money. But as far as I know that's the only case available to buy today (28th September).
I ordered the following Araree Bonnet leather Case from MobileFun 3 weeks ago and it's still out of stock for at least another 3 weeks:
https://www.mobilefun.co.uk/araree-bonnet-samsung-galaxy-z-fold-2-5g-wallet-stand-case-black-82183
There are no other cases available from them, they are all out of stock. Same with Amazon, where you are going to be waiting for several weeks before items are in stock. I really don't understand why, I have never had this issue with a new phone before, there were cases available for the Note 20 Ultra 2 weeks prior to the release date.
Yeah the case situation is pathetic. Just using the official leather at the moment as its better than nothing.

I think Samsung are charging way too much for the leather one, I bet they deliberately priced it so high because the people likely to buy this phone have a bit more cash to splash. Or that they know the cases are in short supply.
I bought the official leather case for my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It's twice the size of the Fold 2 case but cost considerably less, £30 (with a discount) and even that was too much in my opinion. I really need one that protects the cover screen, hence the reason I went for the Araree case.

Don't all flame me for this post... but I bought the cheap (China) faux leather hard case on ebay for £5 gbp and its actually perfectly fine. Its also available as UK stock for about £9 with quicker delivery
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-STOCK...var=661853030175&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
The rear cover fully protects the camera bump and sides.
The front cover protects the edges of front screen and sides (but does make swiping down from top of screen gesture a bit hit and miss for my big fingers)

So I ordered a cheap case off eBay whilst I wait several weeks for a much better one. Supposed to arrive this week. Of course on eBay, "UK STOCK" posted by Royal Mail that takes over a week to arrive means only one thing of course... they are being sent from China. Which I mostly expected when I ordered but took a chance that maybe someone was being honest. No wonder people claim item hasn't arrived and get their money back and still get to keep the item.
I am getting desperate for ANY kind of case for this phone, but the only one available from Samsung is the leather one (£80) or pay £150 upwards from a shark on eBay who clearly only snapped up a whole load of decent cases to add 200% mark up profit, adding over £100 to a £50 case. Crooks.
So no cases available in the UK at a non inflated price. I checked all the usual online outlets and all citing 'expected' stock in 3-4 weeks. What a frustrating crazy situation, for such a premium and arguably delicate phone, why on earth is there such a shortage here?
~
Update: One of the cases arrived today, just a hard clear back cover:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Sams...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
It fits perfectly and will protect the back glass at least. It seems good quality for the £3 I paid, but like all these kind of cases , it adds weight to the phone on one side. Still it's better than nothing!

The £5.99 cases on eBay UK are pretty good and protect.botg the front and back ... I bought the black one which is exactly the same as the Spigen Thin-Fit case but without the brand name and for a fraction of the price
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Sams...504442?hash=item48ed93623a:g:SqUAAOSwy0VfZHXS
I am starting to think Samsung, Spigen and others are taking Z fold2 owners for mugs with over inflated pricing on cases...

Yeah, you're absolutely right, the premium cases for this (very expensive) phone, are almost impossible to source, and when you eventually find one they are over-inflated prices. Trouble is sellers know that desperate consumers (who possibly have more cash than your average consumer) will eventually part with their money to protect such a valuable phone. But I am not falling for that. I have had an order for the Araree Bonnet leather case with MobileFun for over a month now and it's still showing at least a further month for stock to arrive. It's a quality leather cover case and is only costing me £35. In the meantime I am just keeping it in a neoprene pouch. The snakes on eBay buying these up and selling them for £180 - I hope someone screws them over at some point.
Anyway thanks for the link to the one you bought. The bezel on the front cover looks very thick though. Is that a bit awkward to use? I ordered a similar cheap Chinese one off eBay just to tide me over.

The only problems are swiping from the edge gestures (eg open side-bar swipe from right or notifications bar swipe down from top) which are difficult and a bit of trial and error at times. I am old school and use the 3 button navigation so not sure if gesture navigation is affected or not.
All things considered tho I prefer to use this (inexpensive) Chinese made case to protect my expensive new phone until such time as mid priced (£20 max) cases from popular brand names are widely available and are actually in stock.
P.S. for the first few days I before my case arrived i used a "sock" or "sleeve" repurposed with the fabric mesh bag that came free with my Anker 10,000mAh portable battery. Better than nothing.

Direct from the VRS website, I got a 15% off code (SMILEAGAIN30) when I went on the site, I think it was $53 dollars all in for the case and postage. The discount basically gave me near free postage.
I went for the black version, shipping at the end of the month apparently...so ShockSock it is till that arrives
I just received one of the Chinese two piece black plastic ones that were shown in this thread. The frame for the front part is very stiff and while this means it will stay put, the amount of force needed to put it on has scared me from doing so. I don't want to scratch my phone putting a case onto it! Or am I worrying unnecessarily? I much prefer the softer gel ones.

I think you may be worrying unnecessarily about the front cover I have had the Chinese case on my fold2 for 3 weeks now and no marks visible (I only removed it to check after reading your post ). Also I left the factory fitted front screen protector on the glass so I guess i have the additional scratch protection provided by the film cover.
I'm not in the UK, but the Netherlands.
I'm currently using the Shocksock I had for the original Fold, now on the Fold 2. It doesn't fit as well as on the original, but it's OK.
I bought a Fitbag from Germany, but those things are precision-made, and even with Samsung's very thin leather back cover on the phone, the whole thing becomes too fat for the sleeve.
The VRS case looks nice. Has anyone received theirs yet?
Another nice-looking one is the Spigen thin case.
There's rarely a source for any of these cases in the Netherlands, so ordering from the US is expensive and is often fraught with extra charges at the door.
