Apex 1.0.2 ROM - Customisation. - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey Guys.
On the apex 1.0.2 rom, awesome by the way...but was wondering its possible to 1, change your SMS background color and text color (maybe there's a file you can change) and 2, have the menu button in the nav bar on the right side not the left, or take the recent apps button off all together and have a long press of the home button do that and replace it with a menu button.
Possible without changing roms?

Anyone? Haha.

For the text messaging, use an app from the market, (go SMS, handcent) for the menu on the right, I can't figure out how to do that unless you know how to write and modify code very well.
Did I help you? Click the thanks button!

Alternate SMS/MMS Application

I am coming from a Sensation and liked their MMS/SMS Application, its layout, colors, etc. I am really not too found of Samsung's default texting application, it's colors, etc. Is there a replacement app someone can recommend or is this someway to change the layout colors, etc. I really don't care for it (one of the few things I don't like about the phone).
Thanks, in advance.
If you flash the deodexed version then i suggest pushing the mms.apk from a cm7 rom thats 2.3.5 or just you know use GO sms Pro

You should try go sms or handcent sms. Both very good and each have a lot of customizations, fonts and even themes.

[REQ] JB 4.1 Lock Button on Home Button

Since in JellyBean android 4.1 google now utilizes the home button when long-pressed and displays a google search shortcut, why not utilize this even further by adding a shortcut option to the left and right.. one being a Lock Screen shortcut. I bet this will be implemented in a rom in the future.
Well, you don't have to long press...just slide up on the navbar and it should come up. That would be really cool though for someone to do that. I'm sure once its in AOSP, it'll be implemented into roms.

Any more than just a tap triggers this... and I imagine it will be built into the CM10/new AOKP/other JB roms over time. I'd really like to put a voice search button down there to save the screen space from having it in a search bar.
Bump!

I would be interested in this as well. I would like to be able to double tap the home button to launch an app.
Bump.
It would be nice if someone could add some apps on hold home button softkey or add camera on left, lock on right and search on up.

Recent apps style help.

I have nova launcher installed and when I press the home key to go to recent apps the style used to be vertical but now it's horizontal.
Anyone know how to change it back?

If you're running AOKP it's a setting under ROM Control.

[Q] Softkey Action

Hey guys,
I want to change the function of my softkeys. I want to long press the left settings softkey to open recent apps, so i don't have to use my home button. I am on the latest CheckRom JB. I know this feature is possible on CM10. Is it possible on CheckRom?
is there a soft key in leaked JB ?!!

[Q] Question about the AOKP Rom from task and toonz for sprint galaxy s3

This may be a stupid question but how do you manage the screens?, I'm trying g to have just one screen and delete the rest but I can't seem to find where I would be able to do that

You mean the number of home screens? Just use Nova launcher to edit to your preference

I was thinking that, but when using the navigational bar tweak, and you press the home button in it, it switches back to the default luncher and not nova, the ROM doesn't come with a default screen manager?

Press the menu button and then Manage apps. Go to All then scroll down to Launcher and select that. Once in there go down to Clear Defaults and select that. Press the home button then you'll be prompted to choose a default launcher, choose Nova. Done. When you start with a freshly installed ROM you have a choice of the stock launcher or Nova. The stock launcher doesn't have any customization, that's what you chose
