Is it possible to remove the home screen from a rom, by editing the rom itself. I know that the android version 2.3.4 (cool ic sense) doesn't allow this function, as it was added later in newer android versions (or sense versions?).
Either way, is it possible to go inside the rom and edit the sense launcher, so that it only shows 3 screens for example.
Almost 100 views, and no reaction ?

Hello all
Does anyone know of a Rom or theme that has the ability to rotate the home and or lock screen and still retains all the Sense UI functionality.
I am aware that it is in the Cyanogenmod or at least it is on the Nexus one.
but this removes Sense. and alot of the HTC tools that I use very often.
Any suggestions?

there is no landscape view for rosie, you can install another launcher that supports landscape tho, sence will still be there and so will the htc tools/apps, but no you cant with sence
Would love to be able to mix my own rom based on Oxygen v2.0-RC6 but with these HTC Apps/UIs:
- Clock
- Contacts / Dailer / Logs
- Calendar
- Widgets
- E-Mail
- Camera
is this possible ? if so, could someone guide me in the right way to where i could obtain these apps ?
Would that make a stable rom ?
Cheers

It's not possible, sadly.
The HTC apps need the Sense framework to work.
darn, their so much smoother then stock android... but the sense UI is too slow and demands more ram..
This is brought up waaaay too many times. Sense is Sense. It can't be ripped apart sadly enough. I'd like a better widgetpicker (why isn't there one) and miss my clock in Launcher Pro.
This is really a Sense question, but since I'm using DHD I'll ask it here as it may be phone specific (no idea).
Basically can you override the Rosie launcher with something else? I just tried Cyanogenmod and I liked the bottom bit of the home page (with the phone button and apps list etc), thought it was way better than the Sense one. But I want to stick with Sense and customise that bit myself - is this possible?
Cheers.
You can install a 3rd party launcher (Go Launcher, LauncherPro, ADW, etc.) to replace the Rosie launcher. However you would also lose the ability to use Sense widgets.
All the rest of Sense would be there (Dialler, People app, Calendar, etc.) But if you particularly like any Sense widgets, you would need to find similar ones in the Market to replace them.
Hey,
I've just installed the Android Revolution HD Rom and purged it from Sense apps and launcher using ROM Cleaner.
However I also would like to get rid of the Sense status bar (which is pretty awful in my opinion, it's the main reason I want to get rid of Sense).
I read on several topics that deleting Rosie.apk from the phone removes the launcher, but nothing for the status bar.
Is there any way to achieve this? (other than getting a "desensed" ROM, I'd like to keep Sense's lock screen and some widgets)
Thank you.
Hi,
I've just flashed Android Revolution HD 9.0 (Gingerbread 2.3.5, Sense 3.0) and I am not able to add or remove home screens.
I have the default 7 screens, but I need only 5 or less. Normally a trash icon should appear on the homescreen settings page but there is no such icon.
I can only rearrange the screens and that's all.
Anyone knows a way?
Thanks

Maybe you need to search your phone for it. It's there...
Just check setting and soon you'll apoligise for making this post. :cyclops:
That adjustment settings you should look at launcher. Each rom and launcher have a different way of change, in some it is as you say. The new must read and use the search before opening a new tread.
Luck.
