He means to manually set up your APN settings. Also a good program to have it APN Backup & Restore. Really good to do before installing roms or anything major, like unlocking your phone. Just in case something messes up.
thanks guys. whats a trusted bootloader unlock company?

OP, dont buy another code as Master suggested, this will make you waste more money
Your phone is unlocked fully but you just have to set up your APN (Access point name) which is your phones way of accessing a carrier's DATA/MMS
Go to your SETTINGS > mobile SETTINGS > APN (Access Point Names)
Go to Google, then look up your NEW carriers APN settings (IE. T-mobile APN settings)
Go back to your phone in the APN menu and click NEW APN (you gotta find a menu button on that screen)
Then fill in the APN form list EXACTLY as shown on google
save your newly typed settings and select it in the list
That should be it.
I had many positive experiences with cellunlocker.net myself as well as with my friends, but I can see that I had to step in to help you out here as a lot of false information was going on
Good luck

hey i unlocked my htc touch pro2 (thanks Olipro!) and im having issues with the data/internet. it wont set up or connect. how do i set this up? Olipro said and i quote "yes, you will need the APN settings, no doubt someone well versed with Windows Mobile devices AND AT&T will know the settings by heart." can anyone help me? it was an HTC Touch Pro2 on US Cellular that has been unlocked and is now running on AT&T.

Hey I looked at this and I still have issues. I don't know what to do because it's asking for a phone number to dial out and I tried using mines but to no avail. Please help me out guys because I'm paying for data and I can't use it. Man I just wanna get the data set up and use my touch pro 2 to it's full potential lol

Hmmmm .... hate to state the obvious here, but why don't you simply call AT&T to get the settings? If you have an account and are signed up for the data plan then they should have no problem giving you the settings you need to get it all set up. It's not like you are doing anything underhanded by using an unlocked device on their network.
So I followed this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Vision#Rooting_the_G2) to root, S-OFF, etc. my HTC Desire Z which is on Bell's network with a data plan and everything, and everything was going pretty well. Then I downloaded this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822908) to de-brand my phone and it worked as well and everything is fine, except for one thing. The mobile network isn't working. My Wi-fi and normal cellular network that handles phone calls and SMS works, but I can't access the internet when there is no Wi-fi. Normally, when I would connect to the network, an icon would appear in the status bar showing when it was sending out and receiving information and what kind of connection it was (3g, etc.). Now, it doesn't appear when I turn on the Mobile network and I can't connect to the internet without Wi-fi. If anyone could help me fix this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

No, that was an RUU. It's a complete stock ROM (so it does include a radio in it).
Just enter in the correct APN settings and you should be fine though.

Haha sorry, thats my bad.. i actually did google it and find it, I just wanted to be sure that there werent any user-specific things about it that I might have to worry about. I apologize for not being clear. Anyways, I entered in all the APN information except for username, password and server which apparently are supposed to be left blank. Then I rebooted the phone (turned it off, removed the battery, turned it back on) and I am still getting no connection...

I choose the Simple Mobile one and I have no problem but yes you are right it wont delete but its not a big deal. I just redid mine on Friday before switching to T-Mobile over the wknd... Fyi - I got to 2 gigs and they shut me down
So you have a new Simple apn and you choose it and then rebooted and on reboot it changes back to T-Mobile? Correct?

My friend its ok if you load up CM9 it puts in extra APN's for you so its not a big deal to have it there or change it. Actually no real need to look at it after you make the change. I told you I tried to delete mine after upgrading and it did not allow me to so I just added a new one. I am not sure why just adding a new one and using that is bothering you or am I missing something?

I'm not sure if you are still having this problem or not, but I understand the problem you are having and I just found a fix last night.
If you download APN Global, it will let you delete the T-Mobile APN.
I'm pretty sure this has now fixed that hateful issue!
To everyone else that didn't understand the problem:
the t-mobile apn was not editiable, not deletable, and there was no option to make Simple apn the default
randomly and at times VERY OFTEN, the apn would switch back to t-mobile which would make internet unusable and you wouldn't find out until you tried to use it. Then you would have to go through the settings and switch the apn back. This might happen 10 times in a few minutes or 10 times in an hour or two.

When add settings of my carrier in DFS (cdmatool), it is not saves them. Who can help what can it be. Or it is just need to enter right APN settings? I'm new in this. Sorry for bad English. May be some one know what I'm doing wrong. Please give me advice.
Solution:
- as it turns out you need to put zeros in line 39939 (NV Items -> 39939 | NV_LG_DATA_PPP_CARRIER_I | User | - - | 1 | 2byte), than do everything like described in DFS. Also 3G Rev B works well (DFS -> tab Data -> mode -> RevB_MFPA)

I never used DFS.. But from what I remember from way back..
After adding the ESN to your carrier
I would flash the prl and activate the phone...
If the Internet wouldn't work... Then I would need to manually enter the APN settings.
Never did and LTE phones though..

I'm afraid that won't work either. The phones EFS won't let the manual write stick and I can't figure out why either. I've been trying since I've had the phone. I have mine flashed to Verizon but only 1X. I was looking at the thread on backing up this phones EFS to you computer and was wondering if I could be backed-up and changed while on a PC then copied over the existing EFS. I don't have time to try it right now so if anyone else does give it a "go" and let the rest of us know if it works.

I hope you are able to figure out how they did it soon because I can't stand having a [email protected]#$$$ paper-weight. LOL. By the way, after I flashed mine, one of the main bugs is the "hands free activation" notice that pops up every time it gets turned on or up from sleep mode. Is there a way to delete the file that controls this or at least permanently turn it off?

The hands free activation is an app that runs automatically at startup. You can remove it from /system/app/OmaDmclient.apk or uninstall "Update Device" with Titanium Backup.
Sprint likes to change up the app in its devices, but it seems to have the common thread of "omadm" in the apk name.
Hope that helps.

I have been using a SM-N900T on the ATT network by changing the APN settings, and it has been working perfectly until today. I have no internet connection, but it shows full bars, and I can still call and text. I've tried restoring to a earlier NANDROID, and even went to an ATT store and had the guy (who happened to know exactly what I did and has done it himself for his phone) try to fix it, but nothing has worked.
I posted this in the AT&T section too, but no luck so far. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Same here both with AT&T and T-Mobile. All you need to do is call nearest store and ask if they're experiencing network problems.
