I'm flashing a new ROM on my wife's Dinc, and I go into recovery mode through ROM manager and when I try to do anything, I only get the ROM manager logo in the center of the screen. I can back up to the main menu, but in order to reboot the phone I have to pull the battery. I would just flash the ROM through ROM manager, but I need to flash the ROM, and the gapps also. I don't think it will let me do both, plus I like to wipe everything myself before I flash. Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks in advance.

I'm having a problem and hopefully it's something simple I overlooked. I installed Cyanogen's V6.0.0. RC1 and the market won't find anything I search for. I tried a different ROM and the same problem. Now I have no ROM Manager and I can't get into recovery. Recovery goes away every time I wipe to install a new ROM. Is there something I can do to fix it?
If u just noticed it then its not ur Rom, market has been down on different devices to night since about 12

After I install a new ROM and try to boot into recovery mode when the phone is turned off it doesn't load Clockwork Recovery it loads the stock recovery and I don't have any options until I use ROM Manager and install the recovery image from there.
Hope that's enough info.

You need to go in to the menu of the stock recovery (up volume + power), and select apply update.zip to go in to clockwork.
so i rooted with one click
then went from dk17 to dk28 froyo
then i upgraded to cwm3
wiped 3 times
then install from zip (nebula rom)
phone boots up all the way but then resets
and it also flickers "android" on the galaxy s screen
also the phone will b on but the screen wont
plz help
p.s. screen wont come on when i hit the pwr button but it will work kind of when i slide the keybrd out
Well the.best thing you can.probably.do is Odin dk28. Then root and.try again. Something had to have happened in your flash.

Reflash the zip again. Don't need to restore or anything just flash it again and it should work.

So, i have rooted. have superuser access . have Rom manager and cwm installed. when i download a Rom, either from Rom manager or straight from the internet, i get an error and it won't finish installing the Rom. has anyone had an issue with this?
I have also tried several Roms.

Start fresh. Hook it back up and use auto root again... Then reinstall cwm

It didn't work.

well make sure you have cwm recovery installed by powering off. push and hold power + volume up until you get into recovery. if it says <e3> or something like that odin a kernel with cwm. also do not install roms using rom manager. it doesn't work. you have to boot into recovery.
It does say <e3>. is that bad¿
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
it just means you have a stock recovery. you do not have cwm installed. let me find you the tar. hang on.
---------- Post added at 12:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:27 AM ----------
hey go download this from chris41g he is freaken awesome and his kernels are stock with the addition of cwm. chris41g.devphone.org/index.php?dir=EpicTouch%2FStock+Repack%2FEG30%2FCWM5%2F download the. tar.md5 kernel. after you do that put you phone in download mode. its volume down and power button at the same time. you will get in to a menu saying using a rom will blah blah blah. push volume up. your screen should say downloading do not turn off target. open odin. connect your phone through usb. make sure a number comes up in the com box. doesn't matter what. browse files in the PDA section. really don't do it in any other two will brick your device. find the. tar. make sure only reboot is checked. and press start. if it hangs for more than ten minutes come back. whatever you do do NOT disconnect the cord until after it has passed and rebooted.
I don't actually see that file, the txt file says i need to rename something
Try this, just follow step by step......

Patro-n thanks dude. figured it out. downloaded another kernel . it was your suggestion to download a kernel that helped me to fix it. you are the man!!

well I am currently on stock right now. working out some bugs. but my usual daily driver is calkulins. love his work. but blazer and steves odex blue work awseome for me too in the past. so my number one is calkulins. just remember before you flash. nandroid backup through cwm recovery. also wipe everything. by factory data reset and wipe dalvik and also cache. anymore questions let me know. either through pm or whatever.
Thanks bro. i appreciate your help. i used caulkins back in the wm6.5 days.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
no problem dude anytime.
I am on caulkins now. it is not bad. see how fast it is and how good the battery life is.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
two things. battery life will be kinda bad no matter what rom you are on until everything "settles". please don't listen to anyone who tells you to delete battery stats. it does nothing. calibrating battery will be charging it until its full. thats it. but us after a day or two you should notice better battery life.
Good to know. thanks. i never really minded the stock Rom. i thought it worked well.

ya I will probably stay on stock. I got the aio mod so I can have the multiple pulldown and the modded camera.
I flashed the nexus ics rom for my Tmobile Samsung galaxy s2, and now I cant get into recovery mode, phone is still rooted, rom manager freezes every time it asks for superuser permisions, and I cant get into recovery mode by holding down the volume buttons and power key.,,,, any suggestions??
Anyone?

wait to get into clockwork mod its up and down arrows and power button then when it says samsung let go power button but keep holding up and down arrows until clockwork turns on.
once in clockwork factory reset wipe cache and reflash a different rom. if needed dload and new rom and load into clock work it usng mount usb option under advanced to put the rom on your phone then flash it. if you cant get into clockwork go to this guide to use odin to flash back a stock rom and start over.

Need helpe please. Looks like i coould still receive messages, but not TWlauncher. UI error!!! HELP!!!!!!!
Odin back to stock....then retry

Calm down, you can always download a flashable ROM, place it on your sdcard and flash it through CWM. Everything will be normal.
I'm assuming you can boot into CWM.
You can either try restoring all the stuff you deleted with Titanium or wipe the phone and start over.
