I have a GSM GNEX with Google Wallet and all, but I have to admit, that's a brilliant idea.
(runs off to make a case that holds your NFC credit card so it's not visible)
Instant NFC back. It's actually logical......
It's one thing to have it built into a case where it's not visible but an entirely other to just stick it on the back with some tape or glue ...pretty tacky if you ask me...

Well of course, hence the comment about making a case to hide the card.
Every succesful idea starts out pretty rough around the edges.
Where can we actually use Google Wallet in the US to pay for things? Not even sure how this works. I thought there are just a few places that accept this?
It doesn't replace your credit card right now in the US does it?
Looks like I should upload a pic of my GN with built in hunting knife

Where is the list when you need it?
"Another reason to own a GNex over an iPhone"
I didn't see the list present and I was just wondering....
Was that reason number 5438 or 5439?
LOL made me laugh
i dont see NFC is an advantage over iphone.
i make payment much faster with my credit card than using my phone.
turn on phone > pattern unlock > tab > enter pin > tab > hit send
One more reason
And the most sad and funny all rolled into one...

lol...did I ever say there were 5440 reasons....
and I'm sorry to hear that you all have problems with NFC but it has always worked first go for me. You can set your pw timeout in wallet so you dont have to go through the pin process. I have Wallet in my google folder on the home screen. All i have to do is wake up my phone tap twice and scan. Quicker than taking my wallet out and then my card, and then entering my pin/signing a receipt.

What is the last part after entering your pin? I'm confused by tab and send. I've used my phone pretty much everyday since buying it to pay for something and I have never done anything other than unlock and enter the pin. I usually do this while standing in line and since the app stays unlocked for roughly 5 mins after entering your pin the only thing I need to do when checking out is turn it on. No unlocking etc is needed. Because I can enter the pin etc while standing in line it makes it MUCH faster than using my card.

You should be happy that for your own security it doesn't work from 6inches away.

I tried at my local CVS today and they found out that their card reader didn't have pay pass activated, even though it supports it. The manager told me they had no idea how to set it up and that they really didn't care - in the past year that they have had it Im the only one that has ever asked about the feature.

I think it's after you unlock it but I'm not sure. I just unlocked it so I don't look like an idiot if unlocking is required
I did the same exact thing. Got a double quarter pounder meal!
The people who worked there loved it.
All you have to do is when they're ready for you to pay, take out your phone, unlock it from the lock screen, then hold it to the reader (for them it's the little red pad above the card reader) takes less than a second before it registers the connection and pays for it. was able to take the phone out touch the pad and put it back in my pocket all in one motion. bam. it's that easy.
Me too! I just popped my NFC cherry at Jack In The Box. Thanks Google!
I first used it at my local grocery store. I found it to be very easy. To use G-wallet you have to set everything up in wallet first, obviously. Once you have a default card selected you can exit the app. Go to the store, simply wake the phone / unlock it if you use a lock screen, select credit on the stores pay pass system, hold the back of the phone to the NFC reader and the wallet app will pop up asking for your pin. Enter the pin and place the phone back on the NFC reader and you will hear a beep. That's it!

Just lost my phone in taxi I'm rooted also have face unlock and pattern unlock secondary. Is there anything I can do to assure the finder can't use it. Or can I track it. I'm on monthly 4g so no insurance!
That sucks man. As for gps locating your phone I believe that's offered by your insurance, or if you had any type of Norton, kaspersky, trend micro etc security on it. They offer stuff like that. Otherwise you might be SOL. As for them getting in I don't know. Maybe someone else can shed some light on that answer.

2nd to the Plan B. That works amazingly. Also, check if you have a cab receipt. You might be able to use that to identify which cab specifically had the phone. You can call into their dispatch office and ask for that cab. Lookout is awesome too.

I find that the GS3 is not much of a significant upgrade from the GSII. I would much more suggest a Galaxy Nexus since it will still be relevant for many more months to come. The GN comes with pure stock ICS not that TW crap. The GN is almost certain to receive jellybean directly from Google pretty quick while the S3 will have to suffer through what the SII just went through from GB to ICS

I would recommend setting up a pin lock on your next device, that way whenever the phone is restarted it prompts you for the pin. It doesn't matter if it's been wiped or not, it registers with your carrier. Also, as added security, I use Avast and from there I can remotely wipe my sd card and the phone, thus removing any chance of someone getting any of my personal info.

You could always clear your recent app history and check it when you think she looked at it unless she would know how to clear that. Then you would know what she opened too.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Get the app with the password but give her the password. Set that app up but use nova launcher to hide it. Give her the password upfront but just tell hr you want a secure. But in all honesty, crazy girls like that are hard to deal with. Unless you're very patient and love her you might want to reconsider. I once got in trouble for two girls talking about my small ears in Korean on a subway. Though I am Korean I don't know the language but my crazy gf at the time did. Un****ing real the situations you can go through with women like that.
...
Best advice is ask her.
Yeah people lie, but if you have nothing to hide she should have put that together by now. If you've proved trustworthy and she still has issues then talking about it would be far better then trying to bust her looking for something that isn't there.
Wife and I have open phone policy. Look at it all you want.
