[Q] could somebody help me make an update.zip? - HTC Wildfire S

If been looking and searching all over xda and just couldnt figure this out, i read threads and tried update.zip managers with no luck, i would like to learn how to make a flashable zip from scratch, the part that confuses me is the "scripting" and "binary" im not sure how to set up the scripting. So if someone could help that would be great!

I can make the zip for you if you want?

You need to be more descriptive. What type of errors did you get when trying to flash your .zip?

Understand this as a constructive critic and do not hate! We are full of useless threads anyway...

Developing app, ne

Hi XDA.
Me and my friend are currently making an app for some kind of school project. The goal is to make some kind of lockscreen. We have done everything for preperations, we even maked a base app.
Now the app is almost finished, the hardest part comes: The lockscreen part. Is there anybody who is able to help us? If yes, I will send a PM with the BetaBetaBeta version of the app.
Thanks.
PS: If this is in the wrong section, sorry. Maybe a mod can move it to the right section.
Sorry for the weird title, I accidently pushed save.

What do you require for this? Android programming skills?
If it's some photo editing or some stuff I can do that, not programming.
Just tell me, I have some free time for a few days.

But could you describe what's been done and where you want to go with it?

Now I understand it better. Now, we need to get it to replace the original lockscreen.
You don't want it to be this way :
Thief : Hey nice phone! *about to steal it*
You : wait let me start my lockscreen app! Okay here you go.

[Q] Flash Image GUI

Has anyone tried to use the app to flash kernels? Don't think the device is listed but wanted to know if it would work. Thanks
You could be our beta tester lol. As long as all it does is flash the boot IMG it shouldn't mess anything up.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
I would not risk it
u mess the kernel ur phone is ****ed
Sent from my One V using xda premium
Shouldn't be too bad. All you have to do is reboot into fast boot and flash a kernel to fix. But use caution always, no matter what you do to your phone.

Sorry couldnt reply before had to go somewhere
Go to System/etc/
Find a file called 'hosts'
Edit it (copy it to sdcard jst in case for a backup)
Edit the one in System/etc/ (not the backup)
Erase everything and just post this
"127.0.0.1 localhost" (without " )
And hopefully it will work
Reboot after editing

Lets wait for the stable release. If not then there's no way leaving downgrading to 3.0.2.
