Did you flash Gapps? I think the Music Player was removed in the latest Gapps package..download it from the Play Store.
Yeah i flashed Gapps straight after the ROM, cheers for reply.

like stated above, I believe it was removed from the latest gapps. It has nothing to do with AOKP - they cannot include google apps in their rom due to legal reasons.
Just download it from the market.

I had this same problem but with Gmail. I flashed gapps with AOKP m4 and was missing gmail. Ended up reflashing gapps and it finally showed up.

Thats sorted it, again ... many thanks!
Had the same issue. Seems very few GAPPS were included in the lastest zip.
As stated earlier the Google apps like music player, video player etc. where removed from the ROMs at Google's request because of copyright / legal issues. Music is only available for US customers because of Googles Music cloud services only being available there. As soon as they become available in other countries I expect Google Music to be available there too. For now you can manualy install the apk that you can find all over the net or use market enabeler as stated before
Thanks.
I was looking for a centralized loacation for a US GAPPS, versus hunting each one down. I really like the option of a fulll ZIP.
If you know where I can get this, I would be very greatful.

Mp3 downloading issues....

I'm gonna post this here because its an ics/cm9 issue I think...and this is the forum I'm familiar with and many knowledgeable people here. OK here goes. I've done a search on the forum and have not found a solution to my problem. I had an epic 4g running a 2.2 froyo from and didn't have an issue. I have a particular site that I download daily podcast from and all I had to do was click on the icon....it then directed to another page then the android browser, or any browser for that matter, and asked if I wasn't to save file as. I upgraded to cm9 on the epic and ever time I went to the same site with any browser it wouldn't ask to save it. It would try to play it instead. It wouldn't give an option to save it even with a long click and hold. So...here I am now with a brand new phone running a stock ics galaxy nexus and am still having the same issue as I was with the cm9 on my epic. I click on the link and it doesn't give an option to save the mp3, instead it tries to play it and the says cannot play file. Is there some setting that I am missing somewhere to help out with this. Another note is that on the epic that was having the same issue is that when I deleted all music players on the system I could click and it would ask to save the file. But I don't think I should have to delete my music players and reinstall to be able to download mp3s. I was able to do it on froyo and Jo I can't figure it out on ics. Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks guys....neither worked so I tried another route. I tried something I've never really used and I'm not too familiar with it. I tried an RSS feed app and it worked. I tried the app called RSS demon. Does anyone know if the files actually download to the phone or is it a streaming version of the mp3?

Hbo Go

Here is a link for anyone who wants HboGo on their tablet. Enjoy!
http://db.tt/cPvhPpgW
Downloading now. Thank you!
Wow the table ui is sweet!!
Why does the n7 play store have it listed as incompatible again?
*edit: spoke too soon...seems videos won't play and also nav and notification bars don't disappear. Anyway, I hope when HBO adds official N7 support we get to keep the tablet ui. Its so much cooler than the phone ui.

Max go isn't updated yet to be jb compatible is my guess. HBO go was literally just updated today so I'm assuming max go will also be updated soon.

[Q] How to share movie files from computer to samsung via wifi?

How do I share video files from my computer and stream them over my wifi on my galaxy s3?
I did a google search and it came up to use AllShare Play app but I cannot find that app in the playstore.
I'm running slimbean if that makes a difference.
Thanks,

I think allshareplay is touchwiz only.
I use my dropbox for smaller videos you can stream or download it completely for offline use.
I'd like to hear alternatives also.

Sorry to bother.. i am on a nexus 5 (i know, wrong thread) but i can't seem to make mx player my default player.. android 4.4 doesn't ask me which player should it use, for example when i open a youtube video from browser it starts with a default player (which i can't find in the apps). I tried everything, restore defaults, format data, flash another rom but nothing solved it.. help!

Did you try to open a video from mobile youtube (on dolphin or another browser)? Does it open mx player or stock video player? On mine it doesn't ask to choose..
Works fine.
On my Nexus 7 2012 it works fine. It is the free version.
Can't you see it in the play store? Or does the app crash when you open it? Tell me more about the problem please.

Works on my nexus 7 2012 as well. Try opening a video from a file explorer. I have 4 different movie players {don't ask why) when I open the folder containing movies and select one of the files I'm promoted to pick which player to use.

I think what you're suggesting is piracy. If you really don't want ads but don't want to support dev, just use adaway.

You'll need to use FDroid (look it up on Google etc.) to get AdAway - it's alternative store for open source apps
I'd buy the Pro version though, even if it's to just support the developers.
Nah, not compatible with the androidversion... KitKat 4.4.2 on Nexus 5...
