my t mobile app - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

is there any way to get the my t mobile app. Its not in the market. I need it to track my data

I still have it from an old install, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. I read somewhere that it doesn't support ICS.
I use Network Counter instead...

The official link to the version with the best reviews: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tmobile.selfhelp
If that doesn't pull up on your device than the developer has filtered out that specific device, most likely due to the above comment, doesnt support ICS.
Attempted to pull up on my tmo galaxy nexus and this specific app doesn't appear for the developer Tmobile. Appears they filtered out support for our device.
Probably best route is to send them an email listed as their developer contact and inquiry about support?
Hope that helps!

Damn that sucks hopefully it works soon
Thanks foe your help

Even on 2.3 it was hit or miss, especially if you were running custom ROMs.
Just make a bookmark to the MyT-Mobile page in your browser. Easy.

States on the market page that 4.0 support is coming soon - which is funny, because it used to work...

Not really... It loaded about 5% of the time.

Used to work fine, all the time for me, then one day it just stopped...

If you don't trust the ics built in feature, I use the #932# in your dialer to see your data amount from tmobile..

(Q) Alternative to Widgetsoid?

It seems this Widgetsoid has been abandoned. The battery info switch doesn't display the correct battery info from the setting.

So what do you use for toggle settings widget?

It works yes, but if I click it, I got the phone info from the settings.
And not the battery details information.
Extended Controls is not compatible with ICS yet, I read on it's market entry. They are working on it though.

Exactly, especially because I paid for it. Well, for such an inexpensive price, I won't complain much. But this kind of developer attitude make me sad.

FWIW, if you visit the dev's Facebook and Twitter pages, he mentioned this week that updates are on hold because his computer crashed and took his source code with it. He's trying to find a backup, but in the meantime it might be worth a try to contact him via either of those for help with the battery info issue.
Ok, hope he will update soon ...
Great to know it wasn't abandoned!

I use Notification Toggle. It also looks nice with the ICS blue. I paid for extended controls but havent used it in so long ever since Gingerbread.....too many bugs. Quicker is another good app ive used but i like a set of toggles that mimics touchwiz and/or cyanogenmod and this app does that nicely.

I purchased extended controls too. Its a good app.
I've tried several, 'extended control', 'widgetsoid' and switchpro:
- ec and widgetsoid can use notification bar
- none of them can activate the flash
- none of them can activate the gps, only redirect to the settings page, widgetsoid developer states in the facebook page that is an ICS security limitation but official widget is able to activate/desactivate the gps!
- only ec can activate/desactivate wifi tethering
- battery status is ok
- all of them are resizable with BRD Launcher at 241 DPI but not of all them can be installed directly from the market
Until GPS problem is fixed i'm keeping the official widgets

It surprises me that people who work on computers or computer related tech fail to back their stuff up.

[update]Google wallet officially available for att. Workaround for T-Mobile inside!

***edit***
according to developer adrynalyne, "It won't work on any build that is listed as anything other than yakju or mysid in the build.prop."
Thanks to: axion68
Instead of doing the SIM card swap. do this.....
1. clear your default application in your browser settings. (settings-->apps-->all-->browser-->clear defaults.)
2. go to : https://market.android.com/search?q=google+wallet
3. sign in and search for "google wallet"
4. when found: click on the icon (not the "install" button).
5. the browser should ask you if you'd like to use "browser" or "market".
6. click on the market option and voila! ability to add google wallet on your phone with Tmobile simcard installed.
*note* when you're navigating to the web address and google wallet icon, the browser will ask to use the browser or market to access. choose browser all the way through until you click on the google wallet icon. at that point choose the market option.
some users are experiencing some issues.
according to developer adrynalyne, "It won't work on any build that is listed as anything other than yakju or mysid in the build.prop."
if the process above is not working for you, try putting an ATT sim card in.

I'm on T-Mobile and I got it to work by using the Chrome to Phone trick that the comments mentioned on the Engadget website. However, it took a few tries and I even took out my sim card (used wifi) since it kept saying that my carrier was not supported.
This should work on all carriers. No root needed.
Open this link in the browser (not market. If it auto loads in the market app you need to reset your defaults). Do not make your browser the default
https://market.android.com/search?q=google+wallet
Now click on the google wallet image and it will ask you if you want to open it in
the browser or market. Select market, then you can install.
I can confirm that the workaround OP posted for T-Mobile worked 100%. Now to teat it out at 7-11 tomorrow!

Install Google Now on rooted ICS

I looked through and did a couple searches and didn't see anything about this on the Galaxy Nexus forums so I figured I would share it here for anyone wanting to try it. You must be rooted and on an AOSP based ROM. Voice isnt working yet but other than that it's working fine for me.
http://lifehacker.com/5923288/get-google-now-on-your-rooted-ice-cream-sandwich-phone
Good find. Useful for people who require an app for their day to day that hasn't been updated to JB yet, or those unwilling to lose their favorite ROM's features.
Otherwise, you're better off upgrading to JB
I'm holding out for AOKP, hopefully it doesn't take them too long to integrate JB after the source is released.

I also get a toast message when I open the app that says "Network error. Check your connection." But it functions just fine, there is no missing data connection or anything. Is that what you are refering to? You get the message but it works anyway, right?

Which is exactly what got me to patch the apk to remove that check. They should really have filtered it out using the Play Store filters instead if they didn't want tablet users.

I designed this app to work on Mobiles, filtering it through Play Store would filter some of the big phones, that was our doubt.
I designed it, and I can tell, that it's an awkward app to be used on a Tablet. I did announce (I'm still not allowed to post links here since I haven't passed 10 posts yet) that we're working on a Tablet app. Check our page on Google+ (+CarbonAndroid)

Come on, after months and months of "developing", still no widget, no tablet support? Yes, you say you are working on a tablet app, but considering how long the phone app took, which is no more than a beta, it looks like a heck of a long time to wait for possible vaporware, especially considering the history of this app.

I agree that it probably doesn't work that well on 10" tablets but the experience on the Nexus 7 in portrait mode is good. Also, I assumed people using the modified app also used your app on their phone in most cases which means that no extra API token is taken up, unlike the included multi-user feature. I patched the app for my personal use but since people requested it I posted it here.
I honestly fail to see what your problem is with this. XDA users post patched APKs all the time to remove arbitrary limitations (Hulu, Netflix and Swype to name a few). If/when you release a tablet app, even a paid one, the interest for this will go away if the experiance is better. I'd be willing to remove the link to the patched APK when you release the tablet version. Until then, this is the only way for tablet users to enjoy your work.

It probably does run in the background on boot, unles you AutoStart it off.
On the stock-based ROMs, there's a background service called "SNS" (IIRC) that has the Facebook logo as its icon. This app probably uses that service. SNS can be safely frozen.

IIRC, SNS cannot be disabled via Manage Apps....It must be "frozen" (disabled) via a root tool like Titanium Backup.

My thoughts exactly lol
I hate how they keep cramming FB and Twitter down our throats. If I wanted to let my friend know that I just took a dump, I'd call him on the phone like normal people.
I am glad to see an even greater number and diversity of apps coming to android, and specifically the Note2. That said, Facebook Home will never have an opportunity to afflict my Note2.
Would be promising if it weren't made by Facebook. The app alone is lucky to still be installed.
