Hello Everyone
It's a very simple problem but no one has ever found a solution for it ..
I have R800i Xperia Play . I have stock official gingerbread rom flashed via Flashtool successifuly . When I turn on my phone it just get stuck at the initial boot screen ( the sony ericsson text ) for hours and hours . When I plug the phone to the charger or usb cable and then turn it on it boots normally and everything works just fine as long as its still connected to a USB or Charger but whenever I disconnect the cable the phone turns off immediately !!
Can any one please help me with this ?!

I think the best solution is to seek help on any sony mobile center near at your place.
Have you tried reflashing again?

There is no sony mobile help center in my country ... I'm from Libya BTW.
I tried everything . flashtool , SUS, Different FTFs , and many more...
Um, could be your battery? As it seems that your phone needs the extra power to burst into life?
Hi Guys, I have an Xperia Arc (SO-01C) which was Bricked after a failed update... i know this has probably been asked a couple thousand times here before, but here me out, pls:
1. I found a few (3 or 4) threads in XDA that were about similar/same issue with Xperia Arcs
2. I followed the steps (Some using flashtool and some using the Sony Update Service)
3. Both methods successfully flash the device (or at-least the software says it has)
4. Here's the problem:
After Flashing a sony firmware (Stock) it still will not boot
When pressing the power button the Green LED flashes (at a rate of 1 per second appoximately)
When i plug in the USB cable, it does not charge either (Instead it lights up the GREEN LED, which i think is flashmode)
So any help would be great if you guys have seen this behavior before...
[UPDATE]
Also, i think the Firware on the phone may have been modified cause it is DOCOMO branded, but there is no sim lock, so i think it may have been unlocked by previous owner...
Cheers
Re: [Q] Xperia Arc (SO-01C): Bricked after failed update
Had the same issue after a unsuccessfull kerler flash with flashtool.
I relocked, repaired with pccompanion, but it still didnt boot. Just a green led for a moment flashed.
After a half hour it started automaticly by itself. Guess i was lucky.
How much battery did you have before starting flashing?

So. I decided to take it to a phone shop and see if they could repair it. I will post back if anything comes of it...

Warranty out? For the shop...
Re: [Q] Xperia Arc (SO-01C): Bricked after failed update
No warranty cause it's a docomo branded phone and has been sim unlocked...
Well as promised! Here is my update:
I got Ginger Bread running back on it. They at the shop had SETools and unlocked the bootloader and from there it was smooth sailing.

just follow this instructions @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095656
but you should download docomo firmware 4.0.1.C.1.31 @ http://www.filecrop.com/search.php?...1&engine_h=1&engine_e=1&engine_m=1&engine_4=1
flash it with flashtool 0.6.9.1, dont use latest flashtool because it cannot read the ftf file.
This guide resolves my bricked NTT docomo xperia SO-02c, also updated to andorid 4.0.3..
hope this resolves your bricked xperia.
Download the latest version of the flash tool.
The green light blinks coz there maybe no charge in your phone.
After flashing dont turn on the phone connect it to the charger.
If the sony logo appears then there is nothing wrong with your phone.
If it doesn't appear visit the sony mobile service center.
Hope it helped.

What do you mind is bootloop???
Well, tell us, what did you do exactly. And be more precise over your phone - what happens if you turn it on, what does it do? Any lights, anything on screen, vibrations?

Were you using your phone when this occurred?
I've got a similar problem yesterday
the solution was to boot the phone in 'fastboot' mode (keep pressing menu button then insert the usb cable), the indication light should glow in blue
then using fastboot.exe you can flash a new kernel (i used lupos kernel)

Plug the phone in the wall charger. The phone battery will die then start to charge again. mine took about 2 full days before it showed red led. It all depends on how full ur battery was when it soft bricked tho..

I'd flash stock firmware now... You don't have to do something special. After that your phone should be working again.

Plug it into computer while holding volume up. A green light should appear. You are then ready to flash the ftf file.

Are you pressing it BEFORE you connect it ? You've got to press it before you connect it and keep pressing it until you connect it and green led appear. Because if you press it after you connected it, nothing will happen, phone will be just charging

Repair your phone using PC Companion. Just follow the instructions from the program and your phone should be fully functional in a couple of minutes.
same problem here
my xperia arc s turns on until the sony logo and then stays there forever.
It doesn't seem to charge either when i put it on charge as the red light is off .
How to connect with companion since it doesn't do anything ?

Visit the support zone, use the specific tool for when phone does not boot up. Just look around, you will find it. It will not require you to turn on your phone.
Thanks
Got it ...

To use pc companion your phone has to boot up and it's impossible to update or fix phone that doesn't boot up via PC Companion you can only fix it with flashtool or SEUS,SEUS can fix the phone when it's turned off it's just like flashtool.

Wrong.
PC Companion has the solution for when phone does not boot up, SEUS does not have it.
