For all who lack space on Dropbox, here is an solution.
https://www.box.com/s/797e8140a324720832b6
Just download this APK and install it on your phone. (Please uninstall your Dropbox before!)
After installing enter your login and wait for confirmation mail in your mailbox.
Later you can uninstall the APK and install your original Dropbox again.
Voila, now you have more than 25GB space on Dropbox.
It will suck when they realize what's going on and cap peoples account @ 2.5 gigs again... then suddenly you loose a sh1t load of data.
I like my FTP server in my house better
I have more than one box to drop, so not really a problem.
Btw. its not cracked or something...
I read somewhere that with Note II you get 50 G Dropbox. I have a Dropbox account previously with 2.75 G. When I signed in with Note II it doesn't seem to automatically increase to 50 G. I wonder how to get the increase?
Does not work with att and verizon

I had the same problem but I just got an email stating that my dropbox account has been upgraded to 50GB. Only thing I did differently is open the dropbox app directly and boom I got the email.

Sorry, im not totally sure what I did. I got the email when I opened the dropbox app directly. I did not get the email during the intial setup of the phone.
I don't remember exactly how I did it but I have 50gb. There is a separate Dropbox app that it uses to know it's a 50gb

I just singed in to my account from the email i received. I already had 25gb +2 gb bonus. Once I signed in i now have 77+ gb of space. Didn't do anything special. Just logged in. Though the extra 50gb is only for 2 years. Not sure what will happen to my files if I manage to fill that space up.

Download that rom & either install it or pull the dropbox app from it. Login into your account & a few mins later, you should receive an email from Dropbox saying that your account has been updated for 50GB or something like that. Took about 5-10 min or less upon signing in.

Ok so what email... who what when where did the email come from??
If your phone did not come with dropbox preinstalled, you wont get the space. ie att did not agree with dropbox therefore no app was preinstalled.

The only way to get this to work is to install the T-Mobile ported rom and log into dropbox. After you login and sync with device, you will receive
a email.
ATT did not contract with dropbox so no other way around this, only like stated from above post, you go into the rom and just pull that file.
would this work if u already did it with sgs3?
For everyone trying to get the free 50gb Root and install the multipane window thing, It will take less than 10 minutes to do everything. Highly worth it
Oh that kinda sucks
Thanks for all the inputs!

I got it to work. I registered when I first got the phone with stock everything on it. Then you have to log into their website and do something like 5/9 tasks they have given you to unlock 50GB.
so im on ATT and didnt get this wonderful storage, so i did ask suggested and grabbed that rom and pulled out the dropbox apk. sideloaded it onto the phone and logged in, nothing happen no email, or notification of this extra storage wonder what i might have done wrong
I wish people would read. Verizon and AT&T opted out of this promotion. You cannot get the Dropbox space from a phone (unmodified) from either of these carriers.
Sent from the world's largest smartphone: Galaxy Note II.
oh i read mr high and mighty...also read that people said to EITHER A) load that rom or B) pull the apk out of the rom and load it to the phone. I realize and understand that AT&T opted out of this deal but people keep saying it worked for them and not a single person has said they got it from being on a different carrier or from just using the rom or even just the apk from said rom. so maybe you should just calm the **** down and not respond if you have nothing to add that helps anyone, you seem to just troll this so you can ***** and complain instead of help
Create an account and login dropbox on your phone. Then you get an email with a link on how to get 50 gig. I think its dropbox.com/gs. There are 7 steps they lay for you to get 50 gigs. You only need to do 5 of the 7.
Example.
Create a shared folder in drop box and share it with someone.
Install drop box on your main PC
Install drop box on another PC
Email your friends asking them to join.
Login to dropbox on your mobile phone and upload a picture.
They show you each and update the page once you accomplish each one. It takes about 20 minutes.
The bummer I found out later. It's not a lifetime storage like when box.com ran their promotion. It's only good for 24 months.
Hi I'm new to these forums and I must say I love them! There's so much useful information!
So I thought that when buying this tablet I would get a bunch of free stuff. (50 gigs of dropbox, free linkedin pro for 3 months, etc...) I can't find any information about this anymore, I'm I missing something? Does anyone have any clue how to do this? I have already registered my device with Samsung btw.
Thanks in advance,
- Olivier
You should receive an email detailing the offers, sent to the address from which you registered your Samsung account. BTW, some of the offers, like the NYT access, begin from the time you register the account, NOT from the time you first access the offer. So, the first time I tried to access the Times premium content, it told me something like my premium access trial had expired, and asked whether I'd like to continue with a full-price subscription?
HA! Not likely...

Yes that's what I thought. I just double checked and I did receive an email after registering, but didn't see any links to get free stuff. In comparison I still had an email from when I registered my S3 with a link to get free stuff. I'm confused about what I else I can/should try... :s

Have you registered your device via the Galaxy Perks page?
Log in to your Samsung Account via a web browser (you can use the above link). Click on your name in the upper right, and select "My Profile". Verify that your device shows up. Sometimes just logging in to your Samsung Account via a web browser seems to trigger it, so it doesn't hurt to try even if you know you already registered your device.
Have you added the Samsung Account to the Note 2014 yet? If not, launch Samsung Apps and sign in with your Samsung Account when prompted. You might need to press the menu button and then select "Sign In" if it doesn't automatically ask you.
If you have, remove the Samsung Account, launch Samsung Apps and sign in again.
If you've done all that, you SHOULD get the "<NAME>, your gift for registering..." email at the Gmail account you specified when you registered.
Hi all I think this will help a lot of you as the HTC online guide is very vague.
When you first open Google drive via the app you are greeted by your additional 50 gig of free space .
And when you go into settings>storage> then right at the bottom it should display your Google drive storage but it doesn't!
You need to follow these steps.
First open your Google drive app and go through the setup to activate your free storage.
Then you need to use the mail app and create a new email.
The press the attachment button which is a paper clip.
Then scroll right to the bottom and select file.
Then it will ask you if you want to link your Google drive account to your Gmail account and which Gmail account you want to select.
Now go to phone settings>storage and right at the bottom you will now see your Google drive storage space!.
I rang HTC as I could not understand the poor online instructions and he told me to do a soft reset. And I said wait! Let me just try this and it worked and then he asked me step by step of what I did and he thanked me and has passed it round his colleagues at HTC!
Hope this helps someone!
Here is the HTC link http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8/howto/465032.html
Now you have read my guide it sounds obvious what to do!

Great tip, for those wondering you need to use the HTC Mail app, not Gmail.
I now see my Drive storage under storage settings!
Or you can simply clear the Cache/Data for the Drive app, and then log back in. Your updated storage limit will display.
Thank you for solving my problem!

didn't work for me but glad it's working for others
When I initialized my Note 4 I created a new Dropbox account to get AT&T's 50GB for six months. My old account was associated with now expired Samsung promos and was down to 6GB. So here's what I (think) I did that got me not only the original 50GB/6 month promo but another 50GB/2 years added on top. This could be a pure fluke but maybe it'll help somebody here.
To claim the Samsung 50GB promo create a new account. Dropbox doesn't add or extend if you're on an existing promo so you should do that regardless. You'll get 50GB for six months after doing all the stupid "add a file, refer a friend, let us exploit you in any way possible" stuff Dropbox makes you do.
Change the e-mail address on your original (non-Note 4 related) account to one not in Dropbox's records. It's in "settings" on the Dropbox web page. It has to be real and accessible because Dropbox sends a verification e-mail to it.
Via the Dropbox website, change your Note 4 created account's e-mail address to your original (pre-Note 4) one (the one you just made available in step 2).
Sign out of the Dropbox app on your Note 4 and sign back in again with the re-named e-mail address.
I did that and got this. Remember, pre-Note 4 I had 6GB available.
Why do I have a feeling that simply login to your existing dropbox account would automatically award 50gb promo, just like it did 2 years ago with Note 2.
2 years ago I used my N2 to give 50gb dropbox to all my friends, all I had to do was wipe the dropbox app (or maybe reinstall it, don't recall, no couldn't reinstall it, because it was "system" app) and let them login to their accounts.

You missed the point of my post. I got two 50GB promos, the six months I'm entitled to plus twenty four months no one on ATT's entitled to.
And what the policy was two years ago was doesn't matter.

PC. I wasn't trying to scam the system, I just wanted to use the e-mail address on my pre-Note 4 Dropbox account. Changing the e-mail back to that one is what triggered the second 24 month promo. On my Note 4, I signed the account I created on the phone out of the Dropbox app. When I re-signed in with the one I switched the bonus e-mail (above) appeared in seconds. I'm more excited about the 2 year duration than the extra 50GB.
Awe mine doesn't work actually my +48 GB is just about to run out, too, from the original Note 2 deal but my Note 10.1 and Note 4 didn't add any time to the offer.
Try it out on the ones in store to see if you can add it. Then delete the account.

On a virgin Note 4 you can create a new account with an e-mail not associated with an account currently on any type of Samsung/Dropbox promo. Even if you have 1 day of an existing promo left, using an existing e-mail to initialize Dropbox on a phone will prevent additional promo storage from being added. I didn't want to take a chance with my previous account(s) which had expired Samsung/Dropbox promos on them which is why I initially (from my phone) created a brand new account.
If you create a brand new account with a floor model you can try changing e-mail addresses (via a PC) like I described above. That, not how I originally initialized the account, is what triggered the additional 50GB/24 months to be added to my account.
It's all rather bizarre. Especially the 24 month component which shouldn't have been applied because anything I did from my phone should have identified it to Dropbox as an AT&T Note 4 by its device ID. And seriously, why out of the four major carriers is AT&T the only one not offering 24 months? I guess it's for the same reason we don't get a headset in the box.
I couldn't seem to get this to work. I'm wondering if maybe the delay of 3 days had something to do with it. I'll wait a day or two and try again.

I didn't have any luck either. I did get the 2 year 50gb deal, but no dice on the 6 month part.
That's interesting - I got the opposite - I got the 6 month 50GB, but not the 2 year. Wierd.
Maybe it's because I have the T-Mobile variant.
So if I do what you say and add 50GB worth of stuff to my Dropbox account, what happens after the 6 months is over? Do they erase that stuff or will I still have access to it, but just can't upload anything else unless I start deleting stuff? I need to know because I don't want to lose anything after it expires.
They don't erase your stuff you won't be able to add anything more.

I heard about this unlimited OneDrive from different sources, yet I don't see anything about it on any official MS sites. I'm tempted to subscribe to the office personal edition so I can transfer all my Google Dive crap over.
The little bit I did bring over (to the free OneDrive) doesn't play nice with file names that include any hyphens "-". Anyone experiencing the same issues?
