That's true, I bought from them in the past.
But now, I don't put any screen protector in my GNex screen. I am using soft-pouch and my GNex is sexy naked.
However, I am still worried with the lens because GNex battery cover does not protect that like my old HTC Desire.
So, I need protector only for the lens

I highly doubt anyone sells protective stickers just for the lens. You might have to buy a genetic protector and cut it to size yourself.

[Q] Is the galaxy nexus durable?

Should i buy a screen protector and a case? They both seem so ugly to me...but my galaxy s2 got a scratch on it somehow? in my pocket? wtf? But yeah I wear slim/skinny jeans so i guess it could happen, and my point of this thread is. Is the galaxy nexus durable enough that i wont need a screen protector or a case?

build quality seems good and plastic seem tuff. i never use cases. but i always put a good quality screen protector on as it makes no difference to the size . weight of the phone and saves lots of hassle if you get a bad scratch
At the very least get a screen protector. If you're a klutz get a tpu case.

Screen protectors from VZW store

So I am terrified of scratching my screen so i went into the VZW store today and got their anti glare screen protector. I've never put one on, or used one, so they did it for me. They didn't do that bad of a job, there's some loose spots around the edges, but I was more disappointed by how the screen looks now. You can definitely see the protector, even more so during white or light colored backgrounds/apps.
This is fine for now, as at least im protected, but can anyone recommend one that doesn't do this? I'm not familiar with them as this is my first time.... but i want my screen to be beautiful again!
I don't think you need a screen protector. The screen isn't Gorilla Glass, but I'm sure it's right near it in quality.
There's a bunch of people who already scratched their screens...

Can someone move this, wrong forum
Verizon sells two types of screen protectors
1. Antiglare protector
2. Clear protector
I suspect that you got the antiglare protector from your store. The upside to this one is that it cuts glare, has a smoother slide but can affect visibility of on screen apps like you notice.
Go back and buy the clear protector as I have no issues with it. if you think you may have problems putting it on yourself, then you can always pay 2x the price for a single Zagg protector in your local mall.
Good luck
i also got the anti glare one from verizon but the grainy/static look is starting to bug me im thinking of just using the phone naked

The grainy-ness really cheapens the screen. I would suggest going and buying a better screen protector. That's what I'm doing. Not going naked for a few months.
I as well got the anti-glare screen protector at the Verizon store and I hate it, I can't admire the screen because it looks like crap with the screen protector on. I went to the Clear Coat screen protector stand at my local mall and they said they should have protectors for the Galaxy Nexus in about a week and I plan to just do that instead of living with this anti-glare crap.
I'm going to order a replacement one on Amazon tomorrow, any suggestions? I don't want one that has to be wet to apply. I don't want to even know its there...
Are you sure this isn't gorilla glass? I had the Nexus S4G and the Epic 4G and the Epic Touch 4G. Non of these phone ever got scratched. There was a thread describing what it would take to scratch the gorilla glass but I can't find it.

It's not Gorilla Glass but it is a reinforced glass. It would be extremely tough to scratch this screen.

do a quick search theres several people who have already scratched it just from putting it in their pockets
This glass is SOFT, and scratches very easily. I baby all of my phones, and I managed to get 3 minor scratches in a mere 3 weeks. My OG Droid and Nexus S went a year each with no problems. I hate screen protectors, but I ended up getting one because again...this glass is SOFT. I have the regular Verizon one, and I'm quite happy with it.

Yes, it's the normal, not the anti glare. I'm surprised at how clear they are. I bought it as a temporary solution, but I'm pretty sure I'm just going to keep it. It looks and feels great.

Nice, think I'll be able to return my antiglares for the normal? I dont want to pay again.

If it's a corporate store, I think you have a shot. Just tell them that you didn't want the antiglare in the first place and it ruins the phone. If it's one of those authorized dealers, I doubt they exchange it.

Cover With Sliding Panel to Cover Lens

So I've searched on here and found nothing. Looking for a cover that will cover camera lens when not in use. Just got my phone and love it. Paranoid I might scratch camera lens. I do have a case on it. One last question. This was bought brand new. Does it come with a screen protector on it? Hard to tell. Don't want to Peel it on accident in case there was one. Lol
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
It doesn't come with a screen protector. Never saw a case like you want, not sure if one exists or where to get one. Try Google search.

OK thanks. Was a bit confused. Might get one now. And that sucks about the case. I'll keep searching. Thanks

The texture you get with many wet application screen protectors.
http://www.google.ca/search?q=scree...A&biw=1619&bih=959&sei=RyRXUKSZF6rj0QG_kYCQBw
bumpy looking surface, like the surface of an orange. The soft application screen protectors tend to do this, but offer a greater protection in most cases
It means never buy a zaggshield cause that's what it will look and feel like

Sounds like an installation problem to me.
Xtream guardz screen protector for like $6 has almost no orange peel yet its better than most wet protector including the zagg, I also didn't wait for it to dry and it didn't mess it up at all

Nope, had one on my epic4gtouch, and I put it on without an air bubble or follicle of hair underneath. Looked just fine, but when light shined on it, you could see the orange peel effect and even the slightest touch of a fingernail.

My Zagg feels as smooth as glass. I do see the affect you mean, but I think the complaints are people being a bit petty. Zagg is a great product, and this "issue" has never bothered me. My screen still looks beautiful to me.

IMO, I can't stand water applied screen protectors, even if they don't have the orange peel effect, I can still feel the rubbery sensation. This is the reason I go with the dry applied screen protectors, I'm currently using SGPs.
You're suppose to wipe off all the liquid on the side you touch before it dries. You wet that side so it isn't scratched or scraped when using the rubber applier. If you wipe it all off you don't get the rubber feel on the protector.

I have orange peel on my XO skin, it was my first wet skin so could be the way I installed it, but I still like the protector

Tempered Glass screen shield REVIEW (VITREO)

Hey guys,
Got this new case and looks pretty good. One issue I found on old ones is that the screen kinda becomes unresponsive but this one feels pretty good

The purpose of the screen shield?? To protect your original glass.

It is glass , not gorilla glass. So an impact will def break the shield..but thats the whole point of it, to protect your phone's screen
It feels strong

Does it replace the glass in the phone already, if not is there any possible way to do that. Like put a better piece of glass in the phone.

Jesus Christ, it it a screen protector made out of glass. It does not replace anything, you apply it like a regular screen protector BUT IT IS MADE OF GLASS. SMH.
Can anyone comment on how the glass fits with a case? Specifically with the Incipio Silicrylic cases and generic tpu cases that have a lay on table design?

It fits good because it doesnt go all the way to the border of the screen itself
from seidio site :
This product is compatible with our ACTIVE®, ACTIVE® with Metal Kickstand, and ACTIVE® Extended with Metal Kickstand
I tried it with a tpu case and it did work (diztronic)
Update :
Im fully used to it .The screen is holding very good.. feels pretty solid. sensitivity still there and stays very easy to clean.
Light reflection is just like if it was naked.
So far so good
I'm curious if this would work with the otterbox defender after the crap plastic one is removed on the case. I'm looking for an alternative right now and if this would fit with the defender I would be happy indeed
I don't see why it wouldn't

My main concern would be if the plastic shell would close on top of it because of the thickness of the glass
UAG?
Has anyone tried it on a UAG case?

I have a few questions about this protector I was hoping someone could answer:
1. I recall reading about another glass protector and people complaining there was a grid of dots on it. Is this one completely clear or is there any pattern on it?
2. Does it have an oleophobic coating as good as the naked glass? I've currently got a DBA protector on mine and finger grease is both more noticeable and much harder to wipe off than the naked screen.
3. Would this type of case hide or reduce the visibility of scratches already on the screen? The DBA case does that quite well. It just has too many other issues.
4. Does it come in blue?
Thanks!

I have x-gears spectre tempered glass with UAG and it fits. But the right side when using the power button can make the protector lift a bit. No big deal you have to press it dwn again.
