I just finished reading this article on how onlive has a server that
Legs us have windows 7 on portable devices with 1 gig up/download speed.
Wouldnt mind seeing this on the play or my cheapo froyo tablet
http://mobile.nytimes.com/2012/02/2...he-ipad-in-blazing-speed-state-of-the-art.xml
Another fine example of how onlive and the cloud is the future right now.
I think it will come to android soon
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Yeah there will be an Android version soon.
It'll need ARMv7 and GB or higher though
you can get onlive on the android market?!
https://market.android.com/details?...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5vbmxpdmUuY2xpZW50Il0.
but it is only avaible at the USA?! right?
Onlive is awesome and THE reason i got an xperia play
It's available in the UK too
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
The app on Android is only for the Onlive gaming service, not the Desktop service
The Desktop app is "coming soon" and so is the UK Desktop service

Can I get NOVA2 for my xperia play through the Android Market? I have the game as I got for my Nexus S, but when I try downloading it on my Xperia Play, I am allow to download the game but when the start screen appears, it says my phone is not supported. Is funny as others not-supported games would usually not appear in the android marker, but this appear even though it will later tell me is not supported. Is the only way of getting this game through the Gameloft website?
Strange , I got it off the market with no problems....

You bought the OMAP version of Nova 2, Just because you now own a play dosent mean you are allowed a free copy of the snapdragon version. Thats why it's not compatible.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
First of all, Nexus s is not omap, is hummingbird. And thr android market doesn't work as the gameloft wap store does. The android market will provide an apk based on the device that accesses it.
So if i buy something in any of my devices i can download it again in my other devices and i should get the right apk(provided that the developer provides different apk for different devices, which almost noone does). And android run in dalvik so i dont need different apks for different architetures. And that thing of buying an omap/snapdradon/etc version doesn't make anysense because i bought 9mm, tintin and order and chaos in my xperia and i can also play them in my nexus S.
Sent from my R800x using Tapatalk
I am pretty sure is just the screwup system for device detection that gameloft uses in all of its games. Good example is tintin, where a lot of people with high-end phones are getting the 2d version of thr game becuase apparently thir phone doesn't meet the minimum requirements(and i am talking SGS2 and GNex). Screw gameloft they should abandon their wapstore.

Actually the samsung hummimgbird is an OMAP based chip, infact it's almost identical to the A8. Whether or not you are right about the way gameloft games work in the market i'm not sure, i know i had to purchase all my gameloft games again when i moved to the play.

I purchased NOVA 2 on the Market during one of the Android Market only sales they had. It installed but when i tried to start it it told me it was incompatible with my device and would not download the additional files. Luckily it was within the 15 minute window and I deleted and refunded it.
It still comes up on the market for me as compatible but its not so I would suggest to those who have downloaded it from there, refund it immediately.

Rogue Leader which modek is your xperia play? R800x? I assume is a problem with only this device, because all my other games work across my DROID, Nexus S, galaxy tab and xperia play.
Sent from my R800x using Tapatalk
The snapdragon and the hummingbird are the two processors that are closely related, i dont know where the omap fits in this family.

Must be an R800x thing, just like with MC3. Except MC3 at least prevents you from downloading it, they likely forgot to mark off the R800x in the developer console when they loaded NOVA 2 to the market.
SO I stand corrected, if you have an R800x do not download NOVA 2 from the market.

Hi,
I am looking for a game to play on Nexus 7.
A starcraft like strategy game with offline mode (no server connection), and also possibility of multiplayer over LAN or internet would be great.
Any ideas of such Android game ?
Thanks.

As far I know Gameloft has in their site

this was really what I'm looking for.
Starfront is just like Starcraft and it works great on N7.
Now I wonder if I could make it run on Acer Iconia A100 because I have that tablet as well and it would be nice to play multğplayer on LAN.
Strike fleet omega is kinda like star craft. Check it out

Check the Play Store for the new Smart Glass app. Lets you control your XBox from your Android device. It's pretty sweet.

I saw yesterday the SmartGlass in a friend's house. I'll try with me soon. ^^
Awesome app, I have Xbox smart glass installed on windows 8 pro on my PC also, if you have an Xbox 360 this app is a must have for both your android device and windows 8 PC.
Is this available for iPhone?

IOS already has official My Xbox Live app. Don't see why this wouldn't get approved.
Actually, iPhone had this feature before us with the my Xbox app. My friend from work was bragging about it.

My Xbox Live Application?
can someone share it? I can´t install it on my nexus 7
iOS version that was released yesterday has better fucntionality than the android version. Forza and Halo dont work as they do on iOS and Windows. This Is Bullsh!t. The giving android the crappy version of everything has to end. We have the most market share, the most users but we alway get shafted. Yeah we got the app first, cool, But once the iphone/ipad got it with full smartglass functionality(not to mention an ipad specific version[yes i know sideloading works on android tablets, it runs great on my N7}) it took me over the top. I just dont see why this has to keep happening.
Has anyone had trouble getting this to work? Mine goes to Getting info from Xbox services... and eventually just fails and says "Can't sign into xbox services". I've reset everything, tried over 4g and on the same local network and made sure the account is fine and Smartglass is turned on on my box. Still no go - any ideas? No many results turn up on Google. Some complain of similar problems but there's no solution.
EDIT 12/15: The next day it started working without me doing anything different. Go figure
not available in some SEA Countries. dang I have to use a workaround to install this thing

Xbox pretty much equivalents to a ps2.. If we don't have a ps2 emulator then I doubt we have an xbox emulator and if there is.. It would be unplayable.

Actually the XBox got a very straight forward PC architecture consisting of a Intel Celeron x86 (Pentium III based) processor and a Nvidia Geforce 3/4. It used also normal PC technology in other places, for example a northbridge/southbridge and front side bus system. The PS2 on the other hand used a (weird) custom design that is way more complicated and worse documented. Plus, the Xbox is more comparable to modern mobile devices. That beeing said, I have no clue if this emulator is legit or if the Nexus7/2013 is even powerfull enough to emulate that system. I actually doub the last point alot.

Er, where did Google promise free games? And the Play Store is full of free games, so I'm not sure precisely what you're asking...?

so where are my free games?

I don't remember that. I do remember them saying it was coming out and would look great on the new N7, but not that it would be free.
it was during the presentation at Google headquarters.
I m sure it s on YouTube.
if I remember there would be 2 games for free. It was on live.
riptide and another one, grand theft auto maybe.
probably they changed their mind.
uhhhh no... the closest they said was riptide and Prince of Persia utilized the new opengl updates. which they said was only avail for the new nexus 7... until the rest got the 4.3 update.

OK. so I didn't understand well.
strange no free bee. we got free stuff on the original n7
Maybe that was because the original N7 was their first tablet, and they wanted to do anything, even a small thing, to promote uptake. Once they saw what a hit it was they realized they didn't need to bother with free things to promote purchases.

Not really much in the way of free content this time around. I remember the original one came with some limited subscriptions, a movie, and (luckily for me) the $25 Play Store credit. That said, don't mind the loss here at all, and no, it wasn't in the launch event.
The US Nexus 7 2013 version launched with two freebies: an episode from a BBC UK documentary show about our solar system and also Disney's short film called "La Luna".
Neither Nexus 7's launched with any free games that I am aware of.
