Missing stock Live Wallpapers on Galaxy S

As some of you might have noticed, the lates 2.2 build from Samsung deleted some of the stock Android Live Wallpapers. I'm for one missing them, mostly the one with the water and autumn leafs floating by.
Is there anyway of getting the stock Android wallpapers back on my Galaxy? I've noticed a apk-file in some places (in XDA too) that should install them:

But for me, it dosen't install at all, just cancels the installation progres. Any ideas?

So I managed to install the livewallpapers.apk by downloading root explorer and going to system/app and deleting livewallpapers.apk and livewallpapers.odex files. Then boot and install livewallpapers.apk.
But now I don't have any livewallpapers on my phone, it dosen't even show on the wallpapers-section! How do I undo the damage, is there anyway of returning the original ivewallpapers.apk and livewallpapers.odex -files to the system-folder?

The autumn leaves is definetly my favorite too. The #1 reason why I'd like the stock wallpapers on my phone. I'd be great if there were a single apk-file that would install the autumn leaves back to my Galaxy S.
So to answer your question: I did get the stock wallpapers back. For a while at least. I did like I said in my second post, and managed to make them appear and work for a while. Then a day later I noticed that they didn't work properly anymore. They still were there, but when I selected one, the phone showed only blurry animations that didn't work properly.
So I had to paste the original livewallpapers.odx and apk -files back. :-(

Hi everyone! I've been desperately looking for a LWP from S I9000 but in vain. I remember it was pretty colorful: a turquoise sea with sand, sea star and seashells. It was so beautiful and I really miss it. Can someone help to find it? Thanks!

I have an evo shift, and I loved this wallpaper as well when I had android 2.2. Unfortunately, when I upgraded to 2.3.3 it stopped working, same force close error. I read somewhere else that this is because the libraries that this wallpaper uses are incompatible with android 2.3.... Also, because I am not a developer and know nothing about programming these things, I have no idea what that means or how to fix it. I'm hoping that somebody can get this wallpaper working on 2.3 soon, because it is beautiful and I would love to be able to use it again.

Great substitute for Ovean Waves live wallpaper
Since I haven't been able to find a working version either, I came up with a substitute.
Install Touch Ripples from app market. Be sure to get the paid app so you can change the background picture.
Set ocean waves.jpg (attached) as background within the wallpaper app. Move the size sliders (at top) all the way to the right for the best picture.
You'll want to play with the settings to get the ripples just right. At least we can have a look-a-like until samsung updates the wallpaper app.

Ive loved the Samsung LWP since the original Galaxy S...essentially the issue with many of these ported Samsung LWP is that they do not work at all on 2.3 and will only work with 2.2. I have tried several ways to try to install them however as far as I know looking at other threads regarding to these LWP is that the Samsung LWP was relatively integrated into their framework, in part with TouchWiz, therefore cannot be ported easily. HTC Sense is also relatively the same with only one that I know of which works perfect with 2.3 but requires relative changes to the root of the phone (does not work on Samsung but worked on all other HTCs). All the others FC unfortunately.

Koi free live wallpaper is equally good and its free.

Hello Guys,
This can be worked in ODEXED build roms only. The name of Wallpaper is "Secretwallpaper1.apk" with a odex file(I have renamed to .txt, please rename to .odex extn). Find the attached file & push both files in /System/app with rights of -rw-r--r--. then reboot.
If anyone can Deodexed the apk then it will be wonderful.

What's a phone without space and some right app management? For that, I recommend s2e. It moves all the Dalvik Cache to the SD card. When I first installed it, it freed up 92MB of internal memory that I didn't knew what getting used up.

A pretty good ram manager for any phone would be Ram Manager. It keeps your phone running smoothly and worry free.

For backups and more app management, I highly recommend Titanium Backup. One of the best apps out there hands down. You can batch move all your apps to SD, back up all your apps and system data or just apps if you like. Its so epic, it even backs up all the data on a game. Since I like to switch things a lot on my phone, I use a lot of back ups and Titanium always has me covered.

Afterwards, I present to you the awesome Roboto Font. They new font looks really cool and a different font gives a whole new feel to your phone. To install it, you must first install Font Changer, extract the font and put it in the Font Changer folder in the SD.

If you like cloud storage; DropBox is what I recommend. The simple UI makes everything really easy to use. Yeah. There are a whole bunch of really good apps out there that people can't find. Glad I helped!
But I just realized you're using the Odexed rom version. Can you tell me what the difference is?

No idea what's the difference, it just feels the same to me, but then again I don't rely on Quadrant/Antutu so no idea on the performance

Just to improve your ICS experience, I highly recommend 360 launcher, Ive been always a fan of GO launcher but Ive found this one and Im definitely in love with it. It has a ICS theme and it works perfectly alongside with those ICS transitions.

Hm.. green? Not really sure. Haven't seen one yet. Theres also transparent and another version though, you dont have to get blue. Ill PM you if I find a green one though

Why would you want to flash a font? You just install it through font changer and that's it. I've no idea about flashing fonts, just installing through apps.

If when instal font changer say me don't have right version busybody and then go very slow.

Galaxy and Grass Live wallpapers

Hey y'all.
I did a search and didn't find anything.
I was wondering if there were any possible way to get the pink Galaxy live wallpaper and the Grass live wallpaper. Those were pretty much my two favorites and they're not included on ICS.

I don't think it's a separate apk like the others are. I think it's bundled together with an apk called Android Live Wallpapers 2.2. I did a titanium backup from my moms Vibrant and plan on trying to load the apk but I'm reluctant in fear of screwing something up. An alternative would be the Live Wallpaper from Beautiful Widgets and it's the exact same thing. Tried it myself and it ran like **** and lagged like hell.

I got the apk files from the nexus one thread and tried to install the apk file in system/apk (root), it tells me it will copy over (join) the files. Opening live wallpapers.... nothing happend. So disapointed. Im going to look if i can make a galaxy apk myself. But im by no means a coder so don't hold your breath.

Did anyone manage to get the grass livewallpaper in ICS?

I just took a screenshot of the Beautiful Widgets Grass Live Wallpaper, cropped it and used that instead. Saves battery and looks good to me!

I just like that the background changes color during the day. During the day it's nice and bright and easy to see but at night the background is dim so I don't piss off my gf in bed.
Does it really use that much battery? Anyone know of any other backgrounds that change color? I don't really care about the grass moving.

Zedge Question after installing AOKP

OK, so I have been a member a long time and hardly ever ask questions but this is one I can't seem to figure out so if you know the answer it would be greatly appreciated.
When I first got my GN it updated to 4.0.2 and I started installing my normal apps. I installed zedge and launched it and it must have known what my phone was because it only showed wallpapers that were designed for it. It had about 2k or so high quality ones. I then decided to install AOKP and now zedge doesn't know what my phone is because it shows over 30k wallpapers and they all look like crappy low resolution ones. I have deleted the zedge folder from the phone and uninstalled zedge and tried again and it does the same thing.
I did a nandroid restore back to my stock image and again zedge shows high quality wallpapers. Does any one know what it is that would cause this with AOKP m4?

Same thing happened to me after switching to teerom from HD revolution. I downloaded a few different wallpaper apps and was able to find some nice HD ones. Its a minor inconvenience when considering the better signal and battery life with teerom. I still wish I could find the superuser wallpaper I had when I first got my gn.

I'm not sure what would cause it but I think it might have to do with the User Agent string in the AndroidManifest.xml. If you keep the apk from when you are able to only see the high res pics, then you can just reinstall it over. Perhaps titanium backup could do the job. Or you could just pull the apk from /data/apps (net.zedge...) and then place it on your SD card and just install it from there every time you switch roms.
