I plan on buying an extra battery and I wish to charge it without having to put it in the phone, is there a way to do this?
Update: I found this charger but I'm quite sure if I can trust it, I'm sure how the volts and everything work with chargers but can any of you guys verify this? It seems legitimate though

OEM SAMSUNG
Wow that's a great deal, I was thinking of buying the Verizon Nexus battery everyone else here is buying but I probably won't need that anymore, right?
I totally recommend what kvizz posted. I have that and now I just switch batteries like a boss, no downtime for my phone

any cheap china recharger will work and they usually come with a battery too. like $5 shipped on eBay
Damn! I should of bought the OEM charger/battery.
Does OP charger work?

I haven't bought it yet but I'm sure it works but the OEM is what I'll be getting since it seems far better
Highly recommend the Samsung - had mine for a month and it came with an OEM battery, I bought the cheap one on eBay and was sorry I wasted my money. It broke after 2 weeks.

I spent roughly $30 for an OEM battery with NFC & a generic charger that has worked fine since release of the phone. I like the cheap one from ebay because it plugs directly into an outlet unlike the Samsung version which uses a USB cable.
i got 2 of those since day one, from Tmo store / ebay

hi everyone...
just wanna know is there any desktop charger for o2 xda exec?
If you have a look at the O2 micro site, they sell a decent desktop charger, probably quite expensive though, or of course, have a hunt on eBay.... personally I'd stick with O2.
Link to O2 micro site.... http://www.my-xda.com/xdaExecAcc.html
eBay (just example).... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CRADLE-O2-XDA...104937525QQcategoryZ56166QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Hope it helps.
Also, might interest you, I just ordered a simple battery charger off a guy on eBay, only for the battery so if you got spares you can charge them separately. The guy's called lifestyle0806, has been selling for over 2 years and has 96.6% positive. I was recommended him by a guy on this site. Should receive the item today, will let you know if it's any good if you're interested.

I am using this charger from lifestyle for the last 2 months. It is definately worth the money. Even the battery which comes with it is of good quality and does not have any of the problems some spare batteries seem to have.

I couldn't believe how cheap it was... I paid $18 for the battery AND charger with postage included!!! That's just crazy! Well worth it, I would say to anyone who travels a lot and has a spare few batteries they need charged up.

Is it an external charger like this one (which you have to plugin to normal mini-USB charger or computer USB port to get the power)?
Maybe I got a bad unit because it just won't charge the battery - battery is ok though =) However, on the back it reads "INPUT 5V = 2A", but normal USB chargers only output 5V and 1A... So a working unit should be fine with 1A?
I got pretty much the same unit with extended battery from the other guy on ebay.. digispeak ...
Battery seems to be of the decent quality, still testing how long it will last after few charging cycles..
However, I'm not quite as happy with desktop charger. It seems to cut off charging when battery reaches about 90%. Any clues and experiences?
I am wondering if anyone knows where to buy authentic samsung accessories. I have gotten 3 batteries off ebay and they did not live up o expectations and measured only 1000 - 1200 mAh.
To be safe this time, I'd like to purchase the official accessory with the weird dock / stand thing. Does anyone know which other online store might have it for cheap? I have checked on Amazon, but the only stores that list it are 3rd party ones such as accessory one, and they have pretty bad reviews.
FYI, pics of the battery I got off ebay and why they suck. First the "Official" G7 batteries all had the same serial (go figure). Then 2 of them were wrapped around another black wrapper. 2 of them had a black plastic spacer to fill in space where the battery should. 1 even have cardboard cutouts to fill in more space.
Oh man, what a ripoff. I have 2 non official batteries and Im actually more impressed with those than my real battery. Holds a much longer charge. Sorry about your bad luck.
Go to samsung.com and buy the battery that comes with external charger. $50 is so worth it, i might buy that instead of 3000mah which is not guaranteed safe to our phones.

I didn't said that, i said "not guaranteed safe". So it may have a chance that it may damage our phone because of overheating or something else. But so far no one has experienced it, but still i won't take the chance.

...wasnt that hard to find...i dont know about the charger though
i got this
http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Battery-..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1298656716&sr=1-1
it works perfectly and i never use a cable to charge my phone...i just switch out batteries...the batteries seem to hold an equal charge to the OEM one...and they are stylish
Just wondering about the OEM batteries listed. I was asking if any particular reseller is reputable? Since they aren't sold directly by Amazon.
Are the Laza batteries good? The charger looks a lot like the Chinese ebay ones, so I was a bit suspicious.

Mobilecityonline has the Samsung charger/stand and spare battery for $29.99 - quite a deal. I have one of these kits and I am very happy with it.

What is truly worth the money? There are so many posts on batteries and people dont seem to be able to tell whats good and whats not...
Also what is a good place to get a 100% working DATA cable like the one that came with the phone. Mine stopped working.

I use the usb cable that came with my wife's LG Optimus - works great!
I didn't want to risk a no-name cheap extended battery off of eBay, so I ended up paying full price for my Sprint 2600maH and it's worked well. My brother grabbed a cheap one off Amazon and didn't have any problems with his though, but his doesn't last quite as long.
Thanx for replies I pmd you. Also where can I get a cable? mine is messed up!
You can get a cable almost any where that sell computers I have seen them at Staples Walmart almost any whre.

sprint store, amazon, ebay, radio shack. you get what you pay for. cheap is not better. get a good cable and you'll get better data rate, better charge, and a happier phone.

Completely untrue. Buy any cheap cable. You won't notice any difference. Gild plating, shielding, wrapping...it's all just good marketing.
Just find one on monoprice or ebay. If you spend more the cable may ladt longer but its not gonna make your transfers and charging faster.

Cheap can be great. http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=5458&seq=1&format=2
They have them in other lengths too. The 28/24AWG Cable w/ Ferrite Core ones are better than the thinner ones (28/28) they have though, particularly if you want a longer length. I found they sometimes had trouble charging at 1A (when paired with a 1A charger), but even they get the job done, if a little slower on the charging. The 28/24 ones work great -- I have a 15 footer.
So far the most reliable and reputable brand i came across on forums is Mugen Power brand, you can check their fan base on facebook yourself, and read some user comments there. Or ask questions.
http://www.facebook.com/MugenPowerBatteries
It is a pretty strong community for such a product as batteries, and apparently their customer support is very good, they exchange stuff if there are any problems etc. FYI: on facebook they also give out discount codes.
And i read some of their higher capacity extended batteries make phones last at least 3+ days with excesive use. The record i came across was 85 hours from 4800mAh battery with heavy use so i guess Mugen proves the price/quality tag alright!

So I have been looking around on eBay and Amazon for a spare battery and dock charger for it. I ran into this one which will be linked, but I don't know the brand or if anyone has any experience with this. I know they have the OEM ones, but those go for well over $35. I am on a tight budget as almost everyone and just looking for alternatives to save a few bucks, or should I just get the OEM or a different brand. I would appreciate any feedback and Thanks in advance.

I have the OEM charger and its awesome. Comes with a battery too. Don't know about the one in the link. Battery may not have NFC capabilities either ....just my 2 cents. I got mine shipped from Amazon for like $35.00. Its well worth it if you ask me. Good luck.

why not just get the galaxy nexus battery then?
Short and sweet, my usb port is sucking now and theres a dead spot, I have to prop it against something to charge, while sprint may give me another devices, I'm really lazy, and I'd rather just try to get an external battery charger, besides waiting for a new phone and such. I have 2 batteries anyway . Many 3rd party chargers have bad reviews, and I may just get the 20$ OEM samsung one on Amazon but I'd like some feedback first. Thank You!

yiboyuan is the name on them
I picked up a package deal of a couple of extra extended batteries, an extended back to accommodate the larger battery, and a non-name brand wall charger for about $12 on Ebay earlier this year. The seller was in Brooklyn, so no long wait from Asia.
The charger is nothing special but it works fine. You can place the battery in the unit and plug it directly in a wall, or plug in a usb cable and charge up your phone that way. Nice light signals when the battery is fully charged.
Look for the guy, his ebay name is accmonster. Several folks around here had good deals with him.
I can vouch that he ships quickly and has good prices. The extended battery is not quite what the ad says (it's more potent, but not 3500). Shop around his online store and see if he has a deal that fits your interests. Good luck.

Your welcome. I got one of mine quick with the hyperion 1800's I ordered off amazon. I don't like the extended because of the bulk and I think some rom's don't like it but that is another story.

I have the same one also, threw the batteries out after they both died around 6 months after I bought them lol. But the charger works perfectly EXCEPT there is something definitely wrong with the USB port on it. When I plug the phone in to charge through the port on the charger, it for some reason disables touch input to the screen. No idea why, must be a strange defect or something. Happens with all micro USB cables.
