[removed] XPERIA R3A Camera with AutoFlash & GeoTag: CAB installer

Some people like me don't want to flash a new ROM but want all of the latest SE's R3A ROM goodies into our Xperias
I prepared a CAB that will install the newest Sony Ericsson Xperia R3A Camera software to the phone. I have tested it on NAM/UK R2A ROM and works OK !!

INSTRUCTIONS:

IMPORTANT: FOR NON-ENGLISH USERS, HOW TO MAKE IT WORK:
This is the WWEnglish (0409) camera software, but it can be easily adapted:
- Install the CAB
- Go to /progam files/XperiaCamera/Languages/
- Delete (or rename or move) the old Camera0---.dll
- Take note of the 0--- portion: that's your country/language code
- Rename the new Camera0409.dll to your language code
(eg.: for spanish -> Camera0c0a.dll - Full list of country/language codes in post 19, page 2)

Can people test their GeoTagging to see if it's correct for them.
I'm finding mine is getting East confused with West, and putting my photos in the North Sea.

Just wondering if those on the East are getting West values instead, or we are both getting East (could even be a North/South bug in there)

May be a stupid question, but how can I exactly see, if the new camera-app actually runs? I don't see any change (same with the new panel-manager). Is it possible that I have to change some reg-keys in my German ROM (had to do this with the Growing Panel)? Please help me out of this misery

Doesn't seem to work on my X1a as well. Dutch Vodafone R2A.

My "Xperiance" with the new camera software:
1- yes there's a 0409 DLL in the /program files/XperiaCamera/ folder, try renaming the new one (for spanish is 0c0a) to your country/ language (I posted a full languages codes list on the Youtube app thread)
2- for geotagging, I first updated quickgps, then got a full sat fix with google, and then I tested the camera

Oh yes I tested it on X1a and it works
This is the WWENGLISH version, as I stated before, I have tested it over UK ROM (WWE X1i) and NAM ROM (WWE X1a)

in a different thread someone said to change the shutter sound file name in the camera folder, that makes no sound when u take pic

I stand corrected. If you change to filename to reflect your country code, it does work.
Auto flash is listed as "Not available" tho. But the geotagging works. So thnx

ha ich habs gerade installiert^^
beim klick auf die kamera taste startet die anwendung in /programme/XperiaCamera/...lösch einfach den ordner und guck auf dien handy, weil du dann auch Programm Files/XperiaCamera haben wirst...kopiere diesen in den ordner Programme und dann wird immer diese anwendung gestartet^^...ist leider englisch, obwohl man die eine dll datei in 407 ändert^^

Please remember this is a english forum, many users can't read german !!
I only had access to the english files (Ich weiss !! es tut mir leid...) I am looking for the spanish files too
And yes again the whole foder can be copied manually
The CAB was meant to make things easier for all of us, but it has the stck english files only... I will update the first post with the country/language codes list
The original german camera407.DLL should be deleted manually and then the new camera409.DLL should be renamed to 407 (german)

There is a way, you just need to edit the registry.

run step 1. Drop Flash.img.cmd (drop Flash.img on Drop Flash.img.cmd)
run step 2. PKTool.cmd
look in the C:\VGA-GPS\SYS Folder, and delete Folder SampeMusik
run the next steps, and create a G710.NEW.IMG for Flash

I have flashed my vda with my new image successfull but now i can not start any settings in my vda. When i would like to set my clock or anythink an error comes like this: "Fehler Einstellungen konnten nicht geöffnet werden."

But the rom is still not working (Not possible to change options)

Der VDA GPS ist fast ausschließlich in D verkauft worden.

auch D, Du hast auch das Problem mit dem ROM dass keine Einstellungen im vda verändert werden können ? , sonst funktioniert alles gut.
Bei der Beta2 von powerbyte kann ich die Einstellungen verändern, nur leider gehen die Ringtones nicht.

Ja, bei mir sieht es genau so aus.
Werde mal versuchen, ob man der Beta2 die fehlenden sachen aus der "finalen" Version von powerbyte einfügen kann. Evtl. hilft auch ein weiteres entfernen von dateien aus der Version von Powerbyte, da die Größe auch ohne samplemusic noch grenzwertig ist.
@Powerbyte, vielleicht hast du ja mittlerweile auch eine lauffähige Version.

die idee mit dem schrumpfen hatte ich auch schon weil ich dachet er hätte keinen Platz mehr die Konfiguration zu schreiben, hab das img bis auf 44MB verkleinert, hat aber nichts gebracht.

Step 3. remove for example all other Language Files and TelmapNav.exe do not remove German 0407 and English 0409 Files

Works with the galaxy y young gt-s5363 i tested it and works on demand ^^ sry for my bad eng.... einfach wies unten steht die universal-gb zip laden dann vom pc aufs handy (sdkarte)= nicht entpacken o.ä dann am handy usb verbindung per button trennen dann anschliessend am pc beide devices auswerfen dann das kabel ziehen dann power aus warten biss es runtergefahren ist dann die vol. taste oben drücken und gleichzeitig die home taste gedrückt halten sowie die power taste sobals an ist nur den power button loslassen dann sollte innerhalb ein paar sec 4 sachen dort zur auswahl stehen und wir wählen install update from sdcard odersoähnlich .. nicht zu verfehlen eins vorweg ich habe vorher meine sd formatiert via handy und anschliessend die zip drauf gemacht so gehts definitiv .. dann halt wies unten steht machen klicken auswählen rebooten siehe da rootet.. alles läuft.. der link von der site is übrigends von forum.gsmhosting dot com an dieser stelle ein thxc ^^.

How to Root: ( from another site)
- First enable Unknown sources on your phone (Settings -> Applications -> Unknown sources)
- Download the Universal_GB_ROOT_v9.zip file and put in your SD card.
- After transferring your file on your phone disable the USB by pressing "Disconnect storage from PC" after that remove the USB cable and turn off your phone "Power off".
- Make shure you start the phone like this : Long press and hold the (Power Button) + (Home Button) ( if not work you must use Power and Volume+ )
- After couple of seconds you will see your phone booting in recovery mode
- Move in the menu with the Volume - Volume + to scroll up and down and choose "apply update from sdcard" and go directly to the folder that you already created Applications insert in the folder with the Home button and choose the Universal_GB_ROOT_v9.zip and press once again the Home button to apply it.
- You will see a message "Install form sdcard complete".
- Then press on the "reboot system now" and you are done.

This small device S5363 can hardly be used as a phone, but it is very cheap inteligent MP3 player, emergency GPS device etc ...
SD Card is easily accessible, it is not bellow battery so you can change it without switching phone off.

I disagree, it is a capable phone and the sound quality crisp and clear. I rather minimize the use of GPS . And gaming, forget about it. But a all round good device for what it is. Plus for Samsung not locking up the recovery.
I'll try the root solution when I get my phone back from repair.

I prefer device with bigger screen as a phone.
I bought this Samsung from my carrier for $0.10 and my son was using it over a year. Now he got new phone so I rooted it to have more memory for apps. Now I use it mainly as MP3 player and sometimes as spare GPS when my primary device is depleted.
I agree it has good sound, that is why I decided to use it as MP3 player instead of dropping it to trash.

So the Main menu has only one button at the bottom...
With this code it does start...
But I'd also like to insert badaBoard LITE into menu...
I inserted it into CSC file like "kaufDa"- & "HRS"-App (from German LA1) but it does't appear...
Where is the mistake?

Am I right, that the bold marked numbers declare the position?
Is the App correct in CSC or should it be moved to ShpApp.app?

It is not really a "Default"-Application...
I picked the folder from my Wave II with sTune after downloading from app store...
With permission from the developers I'd like to integrate "badaBoard LITE" into my CFW...
I also put the folder into CSC file...
But after flashing it does not apper...
But the other two apps are visible...

Du weißt aber schon. Das das nicht geht. In einer ungehackten Firmware...
Die Apps aus der Firmware sind mit einem anderen Certificate signiert...
Das 2. Cert ist aus dem SDK...
Das 3. ist nur für den Store...

Hatte gehofft, dass das ähnlich funktioniert wie mit Polaris. Nur,... pack ich das in die ShpApp.app, bekomm ich ne Bootschleife...
Bau ich es in die CSC ein, wird es trotzdem nicht angezeigt, wie die beiden vorinstallierten aus der DBT...

Na Du kannst maximal 2 verschiedene signierte Versionen haben...
Die aus dem Store, die wir alle ziehen konnten...
Und eine mit dem bada SDK signierte...

Ich habe mir fast 2 Jahre die Zähne ausgebissen. Das d. SDK Zert in die FW zu integrieren...
Ich habe es bis heute NICHT gebacken bekommen.
Ob es mit dem, was Du so verabscheust funktioniert. Weiß ich nicht.
Aber Standarmäßig ist es unterbunden, andere Zerts in die FW einzuarbeiten.
So das Du keine Samples oder selbst signierte Apps preinstallen kannst...
Also ich kanns wie gesagt nicht.

Did you just take installed files with sTune or you catched OAP file ???
Make sure there is no DCF files in your app files
I guess that the certificate thing shouldn't be present now after the Disable integrity check

There is several ways to catch OAP file
One of those is installing app on SD card
During download you will see OAP file created in /Mount/MMC/Others/DownloadedAppPackages/
Wait until download of the app is complete
During app install copy final OAP file (refresh from a while to another the folder)
That's it

[HOWTO] Pay Google Play Store Apps without Creditcard

Instructions to Pay Apps from the market by Vodafone, T-Mobile account or to pay O2.
If you want to change this in your Galaxy, you should read and understand these instructions!
Neither I, nor XDA-DEV. assume liability for damages that may arise on your device by following this guide.
Preparation:
* Root your Galxy (if already rooted skip this step)
* Root Explorer or alternatively to install EStrongs File Explorer
Now the change:
* Start or root EStrongs File Explorer
* Changes to the System folder
* Search build.prob First, click on it and select "Copy" and go to the SD card and "paste" choose to secure these
* Now go back to the system folder
* Represents the write permissions to access r / w
* Looks back the build.prop file
* Press the top and select "Open in Text Editor"
Search * Now the line ro.com.google.clientidbase = ********
* Now the ******* Vodafone change in android-vf-de change at T-Mobile android-tmobile-de and O2 change in android o2-de (with me standing there android google)
* Now save the file
* Reboot your device
* Manage Then in Settings / Applications / Applications / All / Market and clear data

Look in build.prob for ro.com.google.clientidbase and delete the stars. Now enter android-tmobile-de and then reboot. After that delete Google Play data in app manager

No. Read the OP - it's the method that lets you pay using your carrier's account instead of a credit card.

This bricked my phone. Even though I have backed up the build.prop file, I still am stuck. I have no way of putting back the backup to the system folder. Probably have to reflash my ROM.
Edit:
Luckily by reinstalling my old rom without wiping any caches fixed it without any data loss.

can you please guide us through "What other can do who are using other carrier provider like " Airtel" which is in India
