Every time I exist the browser or an app with the home key, it take awhile for the icons/apps/widget to appear. Does anyone facing this problem?
Yeah this happens to me too..it lags for like half a second

It's not "lag". It's the launcher application reloading after being released from memory. It usually happens when closing a memory intensive app like a browser or game. The only time I have experienced this on the GNex is when closing Chrome.
Will there be a fix for this? Because it happens every time I exit the browser.
Just get a new launcher, or get a new launcher first, use that to uninstall the old launcher, then reinstall it.

I get it sometimes too, reboot the phone and it stops for a day or two then starts happening again :/

I'm guessing it's a normal function in the os . It probably does it to clear up more memory so your apps run smoothly.

I'm having lag in the app drawer. it's fine scrolling forward in the drawer, but when I scroll backwards, there is some stuttering... anyone else having this issue?
i have this problem too any solution ?
it's a known issue
you can switch to faster launchers, like ADW or Go Launcher EX, or others alike which lets you optimize more to reduce lag

+1 on the adw ex. i've been running adw ex. = f'ing awesome.
I noticed that the first couple days, then it went away by itself and worked great for a few days. Then I installed and uninstalled a ton of apps and now it kinda lags a bit again at times... but it's not bad at all...
I keep having problems with my shortcuts on my homescreen.
I have all my favourite apps in 4 folders on my homescreen, when I open apps, sometimes for the second time when they prob still running, they won't open and just force close.
They keep doing this unless I open them from the app draw and then they are fine again.
It's not all apps and it's not all the time but it's annoying when it happens as I obviously have them on my homescreen to speed things up lol.
Anyone shed any light on this?

I have a lag issue with my device and its starting to drive me crazy. Lol.. But anyway when I'm using the touchwiz launcher and drop down the notification drawer while on the home screen the animation is really choppy and laggy. But as soon as I open an app like gmail or even settings menu the choppiness is gone. The home screen lag will go away if I use another launcher as well like launcher pro or go launcher. But I prefer the twlauncher.
Another strange thing is the twlauncher has no home screen lag when using cm7 so I know the device is capable. Just was wondering if anyone else has this issue or found a way around it, thanks!
Just wanted to note that this didn't occur on my epic touch 4g

Just root the device and flash a rom, I think Samsung didn't spend enough time optimizing the Snapdragon with the Touchwiz skin.
Hi, this may be silly, but is anyone having issues adding apps to the home screen using the default built in launcher?
It feels like half the time when I long press an app or a widget in the app drawer, nothing happens, or maybe I just end up launching the app. The launcher behaves as if the long press is not being detected. A long press on the home screen works fine however (I get a prompt to change the wallpaper).
I typically use Nova and that's not an issue there. But when I tried the default launcher I keep getting problems.
Thanks.

I've started getting split screen view to appear way too often, without me intending to call it up.
Then when it appears, I can drag the middle bar to the top or bottom to disable it, but then it reappears after a second again. It's really annoying.
Is anyone else experiencing this "feature?" How to disable it?
Does anyone have ideas? I wonder if it has to do with the Nova launcher?
Basically while on a Skype call, for example, I'd try to swipe up to minimize Skype and select another app, but instead of showing a full-screen app with a small Skype window, it goes to split screen.
If I move the middle bar up or down, it usually closes the second screen but within a second it reopens it again. Or closes the second app, but it opens the next app that's in the background.
I can't find a way to simply disable split screen, as I don't like using it on phones.
Swipe into your recent app drawer, then click on the app icon above the window.

This is definitely a Nova Launcher feature - as it isn't an option using the stock launcher. Just a guess, but I imagine you can disable said feature within the Nova Launcher settings.
Happened to mines once and I'm using stock launcher, I was in an app and opened a link on that app and it turned into split screen, I actually found it rather handy
