Hey guys,
Got my hands on the Rearth Ringke Slim, this is Rearth's revamp of the original Ringke series of cases, which were made of TPU. The Slims are thin, plastic shells that wrap around your device. Rearth touts this as being the slimmest plastic case, and I can definitely see why! The matte finish looks and feels great, but over time tends to pick up some dirt and grime.

Great video review, I want one now! Thanks for that!

Yes, I demonstrated that in the video.
thanks, i actually only watch the first half just before you put on the extended battery lol. funny that you mention scratch protection of the case after you showed that it scratched the phone. ive read that this case can also scratch a phone with the normal battery. thats too bad since this is the only thin case ive seen that has a lip over the corners.

Yeah, if you're gonna use it with the stock battery, you'll be fine. The scratches are cause of the added pressure by the thickness of the extended battery.
Just got mine and I love it. Very sleek and sexy. No scratching the phone or anything.

Grippy.
The back is a little weird Because of the texture. We'll see if the patches go away After a couple of day.

Looks nice! But you say the screen is grippy eh? That's a shame but we'll see how I find it!
Edit: Is this a Total Body Skin or just a Body Skin?
does the skin come with a screen protector and does it completely cover the sides and bottom of the phone
i usually get a case with my phones but id be willing to try out a skin if it protects all the sides from minor scratching in my pocket.
correction guys.
the bse itself is grippy. i didn't put the bse screen protector. i'm waiting for my XO skin for that...
edited OP.

sorry guys. don't know.. it is the GSM version that i have.
i'll update title so that people don't get confused.
I got mine today, I think I may have used a bad kind of soap, I have two or three funny patches on it, other than it seems fine. I'll give it time though, only did it 30 mins ago.
previous experience
i had the bse on my nexus s and it is a little bit grippy on the screen but overall it doesn't make a difference. I am going to order a new set for my galaxy nexus today. BTW, they updated the instructions saying that you shouldn't use the soap mixture when applying the back cover plate because it will cause problems.
Just got this thing in and man it's sexy. I'll have a full review up in a few days on my YouTube channel so keep checking on it: http://youtube.com/BlackPrince310
Looking great How's the fit?
Make sure when you get it you give us specifics like are you LTE or GSM and if you can see how it fits with the extended battery (if you are lte.)
I want one but I am fixing to mod my gnex to work with a touchstone so I want to know that it will fit comfortably, especially for something that is 30 bucks.

ANy clue on LTE with extended battery. I am guessing yes because of what it is an how small of a difference it is. If you don't know I may just order one and check it out myself. I just wish they had one in a darker shade of brown.

alright got mine in the mail today... its really classy looking... fit is tight... like it was made for the phone but its genuine leather so it will stretch for a better fit with time... as u know leather gets better with wear... fit in pocket is really nice... same as the naked phone in pocket but more secure. for sure protects... its perfect if u prefer your phone naked, or going to a meeting or meeting someone for coffee looks really nice set on the table... i really think it was worth buying...

Just buy the case. I have had mine for 3 days now and I think it is the best case I've had. Real quality feel with good protection. And the strap makes it so easy to get the phone out of the case.
I have a Sena Ultraslim as well, but the Crumena is much better! The only thing is that it is a little bit wider compared to the Ultraslim, so the phone will feel a little larger. But I dont mind, the overall feel is really good. Smells fresh leather too =)
I ordered one yesterday and I have an LTE with the extended battery, so I will report back how it is.
i am currently using following case and pouch
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/luckyexpress168
Thanks for the pics OP. Anxiously awaiting the review.
For those that have it - is the snugness of the case affected by the direction you put the phone in? I usually like to put it in with the top of the phone at the opening.
Just ordered a black version earlier. Wanted to go naked on the phone with this instead =).
Those who have this pouch, could you tell me what material being used inside? Is it soft cloth or leather a well? I'm a bit worried it can scratch the screen
I'm really interested in the black version, do they ship to US?

I currently have the Verizon incipio case and the seidio active. The Verizon case turned a gross color from my jeans and the seidio case attracts so much dirt and dust and pulls it all into the case that it actually scratched my phone. Is the ultra hybrid better on these aspects? I'd be getting the white one. I just don't want another case that actually pulls dirt into itself scratching the phone.

Hmmm paranoia I've been reading reviews that it doesn't even fit the vzw? Also idk if anyone can chime in on the longer term dust issue I really don't wanna buy my third $25 case and have another dust magnet messing my phone up.
Maybe I should look into an ultra capsule to avoid dust magnetic effect... Hmmm just need some feedback

Personally I got the sgp hybrid white one and right away was not happy with, I mean yeah it will fit on a CDMA version, but not perfect at all, were talking about that it feels like its gonna pop out of the case if you drop it or pull it out of your pocket.
I am a picky person and I didn't not like feel of it on my phone, of course I should of known that when. The seller stated is was only made for GSM version.
Since my experience with I wouldn't recommend it, speciality since its pretty pricey.
PS. Sorry for grammar

Sorry I didn't respond away bud, well after buying the sgp ultra case white, I should of learned my lesson but didn't lol.
I bought the Neo hybrid sgp white and I came out bad on my LTE Gnex in the end, it will fit with the standard battery but you will have to play around with it(stretching ). But the more time with it, it will get loose and you won't have a good feel. So regardless how sexy it looks, I recommend staying away from it.
I recommend the ringke slim extended battery case for a very slim feel and look (plus has covers for headphone jack and charging port)
And recommend the diztronic revision 3 tpu case which fits all around the case and has cutouts for everything.
Once again sorry for my grammar...

The case looks sharp indeed. How is the little retractor doing? No damage to screen?
I had something similar for my old Palm Pre2 and it wacked my screen pretty quickly because the stitching inside.
Edit: is confirmed by a reviewer also:
The one critique I have with this pouch is that the strap you pull to pop the phone out is stitched into the inside of the pouch on the same side as the phone's screen. I have a screen protector on my phone, and am finding small dots/dents in the screen protector forming the shape of a square from the stitches inside the pouch anchoring the strap.
Click to collapse
The case I got for Pre2 was the original model made by Palm and it still managed to damage the screen. I don't understand how was that possible as the screen was Gorila glass, but it had 2 thin mate spots that annoyed me the hell out.
I don't use screen protectors. Just a personal preference bit never liked them. After 6 months in and out of spigen pouch there is absolutely no marks on the screen. I mean not a single mark. I was thinking about cutting the strap and throwing it away because once the leather took shape of the phone I can now shake it out without using the strap and I found this to be much easier.
Leather looks better every next day (I went for brown version) and it feels really nice.
I promise I do not work for spigen but I have seen some of the other accessories they do and the quality of their products is second to none. Have a look how beautifully made are the ipad cases on spigen website. Can't wait until they make one for my nexus 7 as well.

I almost bought this until I realized it was almost 1/2 an inch to short. I emailed the company to inquire about the possibility of a case made for larger Android phones and received a reply later the same day " Let me go ahead and pass this along to Dave so that he can take a look, and maybe we'll come out with a longer Sleeve just for phone like that one you have there."
